How many of you were excited to find out we have ICS builds? Now with that out the way is it possible to have AOSP ICS if we have the build from HTC?
AOSP ICS is from another build, the Sense ICS release won't have any impact on the AOSP front (except maybe some more motivation?) So we have to wait and see ^^

Hey Gentlemen,
I've been looking all over to see if anyone has developed a completely stock Gingerbread Rom. I'm tired of sense and just want some fast & simple vanilla android. Does anyone know of a Rom for it or if its in development ?
Thanks

havnt seen any yet but you might as well wait for CM7 like everyone else
CM7 - it's like stock Android, but better
Swyped from my HTC Sensation
Very cool, will do. Thanks.
Any word on a release date or if they've even started working on it?
http://www.cyanogenmod.com/ is going to be the best place to wait and watch.
Personally hoping for just a straight up AOSP build. To customize off of. Just have to wait and see.
where can i find a stock gingerbread but with sense 3.0 lockscreen rom?

nowhere. the sense 3.0 lockscreen relies upon sense. and right now, there aren't any "working" (read: daily driver-able) AOSP based builds working/released.
Ok so I seen this on Android Core and would be bad ass...ICS with Sense 4.0?...seems to be a team of DEVS maybe one of ours could join?.....I would love to see this on the DS!!!!

I notice there isn't a full stable release of cyanogen mod 9.0 yet, and the 7.1 version has many more options, I hate the fact you have to downgrade to GingerBread in order for this rom to work, is there a way to get 7.1 to work on ICS?

I think you're a bit confused.
Cyanogenmod 7.1 is the Gingerbread branch.
Cyanogenmod 9 is the Ice Cream Sandwich branch.
Both are Android roms, but of different versions.
You cannot "run" 7.1 on Ice Cream Sandwich, since 7.1 is a completely different version of Android.

Thanks for the clarification.
Is there a reason CM 9 can't have all the features of 7.1?

Time.
Ice Cream Sandwich is realtively new. To implement all those features takes time. Gingerbread has been around forever (December 2010) and was preceded by Froyo (May 2010) and Eclair (October 2009) which were very similar, albeit different.
Ice Cream Sandwich has many more differences in the underlying technology that devs have to work with to make all your favorite customizations run.
If you like ICS but miss CM7 , try one of the many ICS themes in the market.
Hey Ppl
I have a small question. What do U think about port MIUI JB rom on our Sensation? Its possible? We have a CMX beta rom, so base now is exist.
of course its possible im sure miui have already released the source for it... and we have a very stable cm10 rom already. so its just a matter of time
But miui is based on Sense or official update from HTC, not CM. So is it definitely possible?

I have it ported to Sensation, testing is currently
Hey guys, I've installed the latest ICS MIUI which seems to be based not on AOSP but on an HTC based (alas about +200mb in size) which leaves some HTC sense features behind (like magnifier, camera) personally i think this is the best thing that ever happened XD it's so stable and stuff and it even has internet passthrough! ouo
So what's up with that? i thought HTC's bases weren't as open as to lay out a whole MIUI flavor on them? is this gonna be the norm from now on? (i really hope so!)
Thanks! ouo
Recently (since ICS) all official Chinese MIUI ROMs are being based on stock ROMs (TouchWiz, Sense etc) instead of AOSP (like CM9). This is because it's more stable this way. Still, unofficial builds like the JB ones from MIUI.us are based on JB since there will likely be no official updates
One word, aosp based are better, htc based are them being lazy and packing changes to official builds.

So, if I get this right, from now on MIUI will be not much more than a few cosmetic changes and a different launcher, with no real "progress" between HTC releases? Sounds like a dead end to me...

So true, But, there is not yet 'very stable ICS AOSP ROM' for saga
I really miss your MIUIv4 build, a lot of customization I can do, I hope you will make a build again if there is Stable ICS AOSP
