I personally have that case, its absolute horse ****. The tabs on the case snap off or wear down. The back rubber area is held on by cheap adhesive, and starts to peel off. I've had this case for 2 months and its falling apart. Theres a reason why its so cheap, its because its garbage.

It makes the phone a helluva lot bigger (to be expected), but it does stop my screen from wobbling, so that's a huge plus.

For those that like the protection of something like an otterbox or seidio. I highly recommend this case as I had one on my Nook Color and it took a beating like a champ. I'm likely picking up a used 8.9 LTE shortly and this will be the first thing I add to it.

It's made of a hard rubber material, and keeps the profile pretty thin still. Just an option for cheapsakes like me

Dude, I'm all about getting thing without spending a lot of money if I can. Found the trident I posted for $33 at mobile-stop so not as much as above. For my piece of mind I just have to have a case that can be dropped without worry. I have a tpu on my galaxy tab 2 7.0 right now cause that's just the best I could find. It was awesome that it was only a couple bucks but I don't feel like it's gonna protect it *when* an accident happens (cause they always do).

Yeah, the one I got has next to no shcok rating, I really got it to keep it from getting all scratched up and stuff. The Trident one looks alot more hardcore form a protection standpoint
Can anyone confirm that the trident case can also be used as a stand..... It seems like that is all the trident case is missing.

Nope, no stand. Just received my case today and really like it. The initial install is frustrating, aligning the ports and all, but overall feels really good in the hands. Don't bother with the included screen protector, to the touch, smooth. If you use a stylus, it grabs.

I bought the HP sleeve off amazon for 8 dollars, but wish that I had gone down the book case instead. I played with my buddie's G Tab 10.1, and utilizing the case's 3 leaning angles was an absolute dream.
So, anyone have a case you'd recommend? Price does matter, as I'd like one within the 20 dollar range.

I took a chance and ordered this yesterday. I don't care about the case but I am hoping that the charger is good as I really want a second charger. As for cases, here is the case that I am waiting to get later this week. It has a nice cutout for removing the stylus and i-Blason really puts out a great quality product every time I have purchased from them.

The vendor of that case has issues. Not shipping orders despite product being in stock. Also, PU, not leather. Erroneous advertising.

my 2 cents, don't get a KaysCase case unless you want something cheap, disposable, fake leather, and not a flush perfect fit. Mine came with a couple of defects, and the front doesn't lay flush on the tablet which causes it to slightly obscure the front camera. It does what I need it to do, but I intend to replace it down the line when there is something good being made that doesn't compromise on function.

For $13 I'm surprised of the quality really, and the PU 'leather' it uses feels more like real leather than many real leather products I've seen. The case has a little stretch loop, that is actually about the entire length of the s-Pen, which is handy place to stash the pen quick if you put your tablet down for some reason. Fit is great, all the ports and button have access, the only 'grip' really is that when the cover is closed, the spine of the case blocks the charging port, which does not have a cutout on this part of the case. So to charge the tablet in the case, you must leave the lid open.

Hello my fellow Canadian,
I live down in London and was in the same boat as you. Everywhere I went it was either sold out or they didn't have it. Your only chance is to buy it online. You can check out futureshop or best buy, they have it on there for 24.99 with free shipping I think but they only have the black one. Ebay and amazon is another method but don't know about the shopping cost. Www.Puremobile.ca is another site but I think they might be still sold out. You could also check those Wind stands in the mall, I went to one of them before but they were sold out.
I ended up getting my white (they have the black one also) OEM Bumper from www.blueshop.ca. It was Free shipping just had to pay the tax, came in 2 days.
Don't know where other members got their bumper from.

I actually just got it in the mail a couple of days ago, I was using the Rearth Ringke Fusion case for a while and then the Spigen ultra slim one for a bit. So far the bumper is great. There have been various reports that the bumper's aluminum finish that goes around it cracks at the bottom near the USB port. There are various replicas you can get if you don't want to drop 30 bones on the OEM one. The replica bumpers also breaks in the same place. Keep in mind the original OEM one is obviously made From better quality than the replicas. Some people like the replicas more, no idea why. The bumper doesn't give the phone that much bulk and only protects the edges obviously. You can combo the bumper with a dbrand skin and it would look awesome and also provides scratch protection for the back.
So far mine didn't break yet and my older brother had his for a couple of months and it didn't break yet. So we can only wait and see for now.

Using both of them each of them has their pro and cons.
OEM looks better than the Poetic Bumper.
Poetic Bumper is less bulky and easier to hold in the hand compared to the LG bumper.
OEM has better button clicks (has built in 'clicks')
In Toronto too.
I don't recommend the bumper due to the lack of protection for the rear glass panel. I got a very sturdy TPU case off ebay for $5. A friend scored the same thing for $3 =.=. Takes a while to ship from China, but totally worth it.
If you really want a bumper over a full case, you can still find it on ebay for single digit prices. It won't be the official one, but I doubt the official one is really any better.
Blueshop.ca has it. They also have great shipping times and prices for Canadians

Go with the Poetic bumper. Not as pretty but feels better in the hand, the rubber part grips better on flat surfaces and it's 1/3 of the price of the official bumper.

For OEM bumper, I think your best bet is as Kendaihou mentioned, futureshop or best buy.
If ever you pass by Quebec, you can get at a Videotron shop for $20 (this is where i got mine, and they used to carry a ton of them).
The reason that the grey plastic below the usb port cracks is due to bending with installation/removal. I find out if you don't remove the case often and only remove/bend it from the TOP corners, the plastic at the bottom of the usb port shouldl not crack.
And by the way, nothing beats OEM quality
Kind of a weird question, but I've got a $10 ebay credit, and I'm looking for ideas on how to spend it. I've already got a case, screen protector, two Qi chargers, and a bunch of 2A wall chargers for my Nexus 5. Is there anything else I could do with $10?
If you still want a case I would recommend Caseology. I got a white leather case for about $7. Aesthetically pleasing and definitely provides protection.
