Ok I have a rooted and unlocked mytouch 4G slide running on Cincinnati bell. I have service but no data connection. Is there anything I can do to get the data connection to work. Would a different radio work?
you need edit some network codes on the sim card. I would just call them and ask, normally the carriers are helpful in resolving the issues.
Are they using the same network as T-Mobile? Also, you may get more help at rootzwiki.

Would this just be a case of going into the settings and entering the CB APN settings?
Assuming you have a wifi connection, go into the market place and download an application called tweakker. Yes, two ks. Anyways, just use that and pick Cincinnati Bell along with the correct plan, and you should be ready to go.
Thanks I'll try some of these out

At work I only have data reception when using the Verizon PRL. Every else Sprint PRL is fine. So for the past few weeks I have been running only the Verizon PRL... using about 350MB of data. I don't want to get busted for roaming too much.
I also don't want to flash my PRL every day manually using QSPT.
Is there an app or another way to go back and forth between PRL from the phone, instead of connecting it up to a PC?

google roam control v1.4
Any apps that will force my ns4g to roam? Tried roam control, but it didn't seem to do anything. Sprint seems to be having an issue with the tower by my house and "can't " service it for a couple days......
ahhhhh...........gone todash..............
Couldn't you just go into mobile networks and select network provider and select a different provider?
You need roam control v1.4 to work with nexus

I am sorry if this has been described elsewhere. I have tried looking and have not been able to find anything.
I have a question regarding my dl speed really I suppose. My phone is unlocked and through Cincinnati bell. I have heard that I should be able to use tmobiles towers and get the 4g speeds. However I have not ever had 4g with this phone and I know its around the area. A friend has the same rom on the same phone and we will be sitting side by side with him having 4g and mine not as much as toggling over to 4g for a second.
On top of that when I run my speedtest.net speed it shows me as just over a 1100kbps. I was wondering if the issue is because of my apn settings that I manually put in. I use apn manager and input Cbw Internet and MMS in using the information on Cincinnati Bells Website.
Should I use Tmobiles apn settings? That just does not sound like it would work to me.
I use simple mobile which uses Tmobile's towers. They offer a few different plans and only the top plan allows 4G speeds. I am using simple mobiles apn settings. I get 20mb down.

Did you try with both wifi and data network?
Remainder of my comments assume problem with data network ...
you can have a problem if the wrong name at settings/wireless & network/mobile_networks/access_point_names although I forget how to find the correct name.
Sorry if I misunderstood your question.
With it being a go phone sim you will have to go into att store and tell them the problem. They have to enable the 4g data on it.

My girlfriend is out of town right now visiting a school and called me tonight saying her data has suddenly stopped working. She does not have the data icon in her notification bar at all.
I asked her to verify that it was not in airplane mode, and it was not. I am not familiar with her phone and am not sure what else to try.
Her phone is entirely stock and on T-Mobile. Until today she had full 4g capability, now seems to have no data what so ever.
Any suggestions on what I could have her try?
Did she contact T-Mobile and verify there is service in the area she's visiting, unfortunately T-Mobile doesn't provide service everywhere

Yes she has been there 4 days and had it up until this afternoon. Knowing her, I've got a feeling she somehow disabled it. I just didn't know if perhaps anyone would know of some way she may have done so other than turning on airplane mode.
For example, my fascinate has a mobile data toggle on the notification bar, hers does not, but I didn't know if there was one elsewhere maybe.
There should be an option to enable/disable data in settings under wireless networks.
On this phone it's settings, wireless and network, mobile networks, enable data packet. It might not say exactly the same thing on the exhibit, but it should be close to that.
