Call your voicemail?
I've had an issue once where my voicemail was bugged. Calling it would bring me to nothing (no tone, nada) and the notification would randomly popup even after I dismissed it. Calling back my voicemail at some point and deleting the message fixed it somehow.

Don't know how your voicemail works, but mine I have to call my phone number to get to it. Holding the 1 key to call voicemail gave me a similar error.

If you go to settings, then call settings, what is your voicemail service set to? Carrier or Google Voice? If it's the first one, in voicemail settings you can change the voicemail number to the one you should be using.
I have changed the number and still receive that notification that I have voicemails :/

Have you been able to get into your voicemail though? As I said earlier, my notification would popup randomly as long as I didn't listen to the message in my voicemail.

That's probably the source of your problem. I'd call your carrier to inquire about what's going on.
ya....now that I think about it I had that error before I rooted my phone....calling sprint!

Every time I receive a call, the sprint operator says the name of the contact calling or unknown caller and says press 1 to answer or 2 for voicemail. Has anyone else had this problem????I talked to sprint about this and they said they had to update my caller id and voicemail and that it would take 72 hrs to update. It has now been 1 week and same ole ****! I have updated prl and profile and still the same. When I press 1, I can answer the call like normal but I have to go through this process every call I get. Please help.
Welcome to awesomeness that is Google voice intergration. Check you Google voice settings, you probably have call screening turned on.

Yes this through me off to. However, go to your Google account through your computer and switch off the call screening. It is on by default.

I can't even find that in settings. Is it in call settings or google voice settings??? I can't see it in either. I'm bout to revert to stock to see what that will do.
ahhh, that's stupid. Thank you very much!
Ja' get it? nothing to do with the phone, rom, or kernel.

So I am running the latest release of Das BAMF 2.0 and I got a call from my supervisor the other night during a TV show I was watching, so I let it go to voicemail. Well he left me a voicemail, but I didn't get a notification for it until some 12-15 hours later. Thankfully I texted him to ask what he wanted, or I would have been in a lot of trouble . Anyone else have any issues with this?
Yep, I have the same issue.
I had that happen but seems it was only a one-time thing. I have been getting my voicemail notifications right on time after the call comes in ever since that one time.
Does this seem to be a consistent thing or was that the only time it happened? Might be isolated like my experience. I've had this happen on other phones to, I just assumed it was a glitch on VZW's network.
I'm on BAMF 2.0-4.01 with the "modded test7" kernel and the GB radio
voicemail issues
I have similar issues, I received the voicemail after restarting the phone, I didn't even know I had a voicemail...also, after listening the message, the voicemail icon doesn't disappear. It happen the last two days, consistently.
Same problem here. It will show up or clear after a reboot but no other time.
Running BAMF ginger sense preview 4, and the MR2 radio. I have tried a few roms and it seems to be an issue with the radio.
just go to stock verizon voicemail no problems there
Not quite sure what you mean. I'm not using visual voicemail or anything like that, thanks.
I just posted this same problem on the Bamf 3.0 RC4 thread. I have had this happen several times where I don't get the voicemail notification until after I reboot, and then the icon never goes away until after a reboot.
Same issue on GingerRemix 2.1

It happens on all GB roms. You can either pay $6/mo to use the vzw voicemail app, or reboot phone when you miss a call. I'm cheap, so I'll settle for the latter

1) Do what I do... uninstall an reinstall google voice.
2) SKIP the sprint integration
3) Follow the normal google voice setup

My Carrier (Rogers) allows me to block SMS as well as phone calls via their web site. Worst case scenario... change your number.

Just leave your phone on and let the messages come through. If your phone freezes leave the back door off and just do a battery pull it will run its cycle.
Is it possible to get google voice working with any other services besides the ones they have listed? I want to set it up with my lycamobile number. So is there a way to do this or is it not allowed unless they officially support it? I Google searched and all I could find was how to transfer your Google voice number but nothing about getting it working with other companies. Thanks

When I tried setting up google voice and texting and calling on my computer it said choose your carrier from a drop down list. The list only had certain big ones. Lycamobile wasn't on there but it supposedly runs on tmobiles network so do I just choose tmobil?

I never had to select a carrier but I set mine up a few years ago. Maybe things have changed. If your provider runs on T-Mobile network I would choose it

It didn't work. It says mmi something then error or something like that when I put in the activation code. It says prepaid T-Mobile plans not supported and my plan is prepaid so that might be the issue.
Sent from my Nexus 5 using xda app-developers app
I don't understand what activation you are having to do. When I set mine up, I simply put in the number I wanted to verify from, what number would be used to forward to and that was it

They must've changed it then. Or maybe it detected yours was already supported. I wanted to set up the voice mail feature but it said. Your carrier may not be supported. Set up from PC or something along those lines and have me a link.

Se situation
Abdel, I appear to be in the same situation as you. I am able to receive calls/texts using my Google Voice number, but I wasn't able to make calls using the number because Lycamobile isn't on the drop-down list on Google's "activate Google Voice on this phone" page. BUT then I just changed the setting in GV to "Making calls: Use Google Voice to make all calls" and it works perfectly, showing my GV number on phones I call and ringing my phone when people call my GV number. It even seems voicemails are handled by GV and not Lyca.

Correct, nothing else onthe computer. I'm using the GV app for all my text messages, not the normal Android texting app (soon to become Hangouts, methinks).
If this is working for you, hit the thanks button. I don't know much compared to some people here, so I'll take any boost to my thanks meter I can get.
