My screen flashes on and then turns off periodically after I lock it. Any ideas why or how to fix it?

My s2u2 will not lock after screen is off after I install v2.22. I reinstall v2.14 but it also won't lock. anyone know how can I make it lock when the screen is off? I have enable the option lock when screen blank and blacklight off
EDIT: It started working again with 2.14 but not 2.20
Just noticed while charging my Captivate that the lock screen pattern is suddenly not appearing. Even after manually locking it. It just wakes straight to the home screen. Anyone else ever see this? Running 2.1 JH7, rooted. My security settings are set to use the lock screen.

I have activated slider lock screen in my flytouch 3 (sawee 2.2)
but when i clide to the right the lock screen nothing is done
the screen stay locked !
is there a way to deactivated lock screen via ADB ?
is there a config file to disable the lock screen ?

Okay I know thare is alredy an option to make your lock screen never time out but all I realy want is to beable to leave my phone locked and the lock screen to stay on but when ever my phone locks the nice wallpaper and clock on the screen disapers in like 5 seconds this is so annyoying to me.
can anyone make an app that will allow me to set how long the lock screen stays on before the screen turns off.
