[Q] Multiple page sms fails to send - Samsung Infuse 4G

When I try to send a 2+ page text message, right away I get a message back that it failed to send. However, the recipient of the message will receive only the first page of the message. I was not aware of this until a friend texted me back wondering why she got the same message 6 times, but it wasn't the full message. I haven't had this problem. I recently changed my rom form infused 2.2.3 to CatyRom ICS edition. Could this have anything to do with my problem, or does anyone else have any ideas?

Its a modem issue

[Q] SMS/Text not working on the Infuse

I think I know what the problem is, but I want to make double sure before I go to the AT&T store.
I recently changed over to the Infused 1.5 ROM and during the process had to take out the SIM Card due to a small issue I had. Did this about 3 days ago and phone, data, and email have been working fine.
Last night, I thought it was odd that I was not receiving text messages and asked one of my friends to try to text. Did not get anything, so I tried texting him. Still nothing. So I decided to try it in my Blackberry to see if I can text, and I still could not receive or send texts despite being able to before on this phone.
From what I have read, some people have had issues if the new batch of SIM cards gets scratched, so I am planning on going to the AT&T store to exchange the SIM card and have them test text messaging. Anyone else had any similar issues?
message center number
See if Your message center number was wiped when you installed new ROM. go to Messaging/Settings/Message Center....
If there is no number, Insert this +1 312 314 9810,
This is the message center number for ALL AT&T SIM cards.
Hope this helped.

Similar Problem- Unable to send SMS from Beanstalk Rom 4.4+
Hi,
I am getting a similar problem and I am unable to send sms from my infuse, though I am able to receive SMS. I am using a Beanstalk ROM 4.4.240-20140203.
Model No: SGH-I997
Baseband Version: I997UCLB3
Kernel Version: 2.6.35.7-I997UCLB3-CL977492-g1bc7cfe
I think the problem is that the Message Center number is not properly set in the settings, but the problem is that I am unable to find the settings to change the message center.
I have searched for the option to change the Message Center by clicking on settings of messaging app but though there are many options to change the viewing settings of SMSes but there is no option to change the SMS Center number.
I would be greatly thankful for directing me in the correct direction

Hey guys I'm using the stock messaging application and the delivery would sometimes fail. I'm not saying this is every now and then, but this problem comes up for half of my text messages I am trying to send. I updated the PRL and my phone is completely fine. I'm running the latest humblecomb and the lastest OTB pbj kernel.
I don't know if it's just me or does anyone else get a failed delivery? It's so annoying when I have to check that my message actually sent.

if you're texting another VZ customer I know you can turn on the 'delivery report' option in the sms settings, it gets a little annoying cuz it'll basically give you two message tones one when its delivered and one when you receive a text

hm.. im not sure you get what im saying
I mean when you send the message, but in a few seconds it says the message failed to send. I would have to send it again then!

oh ok lol, the only reason it would fail is a network issue either with your phone or the recipient... if they get the texts and/or you can receive them its something wrong with your phone, can't say i've heard of any fixes beside maybe odining your radio again

[Q] SMS Scrambling?

Hi everyone,
I need some help and I'm just hoping someone on here experienced this before and found a fix. When sending long SMS messages the recipient sometimes receives the message jumbled/garbled/mixed up with another old text that has been sent to them weeks or months ago. So it usually has the first half of the message I send them as the correct text, and then the second half is "pasted in randomly" from an old message.
Hope that makes sense. I have T-Mobile service and I'm using a t999 variant of the galaxy s3 rooted and running a stock ROM.
It still happens even after deleting all my messages. It happens on both the stock messaging app and gosms, so it's not an app specific issue. It also happened before I rooted my phone and after. This same thing even happened on my previous phone, the HTC G2. Also, sometimes the old messages were sent on a previous handset (the G2) & with a previous SIM (same number but got a new microSIM with the S3), so no idea where it had got the old message text from.
Any ideas why this might be happening and what I could do to fix it? My current fix is using gosms and having it split up the messages every 160 characters so it doesn't have the chance to happen. Otherwise if I'm not using gosms I have to stop on my own and start a new text when I run out of characters. It works but gets very annoying.
Thanks for reading.

Its a known issue. Hopefully Google can do something about this very soon.

[Resolved] Fixed. Asking for Help with text messages not sending.

Hello,
If this is in the wrong forum please move to correct one. i didnt know where to post.
First I would like to say that I have searched google and forums for an answer to this question and have found some fixes, none fixed mine. So here goes my first post.
I have a LG Genesis
Stock froyo
Rooted
Supercharged by ZeppelinRox, with sd tweak and 3g turbocharger.
2 days ago text messages wouldn't send, they just hang on "sending..."
That day it fixed itself after a couple hours and sent the messages out. Without doing anything. I couldn't try to fix it because I was at work.
Yesterday it stopped sending messages again and is still not sending.
Things I have tried:
Reinstalled gmail (I uninstalled it weeks ago because I never use it).
Cleared messaging app data ( on both stock messaging and handcent )
Wiped caches
Dialled *228 on us cellular this updates the phone somehow.
Pulled battery
Checked all apps for startup issues (few weeks ago I disabled startups on certain apps)
That's all I can think of that I have done.
If anyone has any answers or anything I have missed pls all input is appreciated.
Thank you.

Re: Help with text messages not sending.
Some past text messages that were "sending" for 24hrs just went through(but not all). I have a log saved but I can't figure out what it means. I am hoping someone is able to help me figure out what it means. If anyone can help.
here is the logs
Also, mms messages are sending , just sms messages are stuck on "sending..."

Okay, I figured out the problem.
I had disabled the boot completed receiver on the stock messaging app. I use handcent instead.
After I reenabled then messages started sending again.
D'oh!

Yes, I am having the same issue. I've been searching for a solution without any luck. Please let me know if you run across anything.
I've had the issue since I purchased my LG-G4 from AT&T two months ago. Issue is sporadic and difficult to replicate on demand. It only happens with group text messages (MMS), but I cannot figure out what triggers the non-delivery of a reply. Those that do not get delivered correctly show up from "Anonymous" with "Message not Found" in the text. Unsure how to troubleshoot, but it happens pretty frequently. I would guess about 1 in 15 to 20 of my MMS messages are not delivered.
Yes. And it must be at&t because it happens on my note 4 sometimes when sending group messages.

Don't believe its limited to group messaging. I preordered my G4 and its happened to me about 5 times since I've owned it. I do not send group messages nor have any friends that send me group messages. I'm pretty sure that in my circumstances that i actually received the mms but the app for what ever reason still triggered the flag that i got a "new" message. If that mms was already downloaded then the app might be saying that there's a "new" mms but cant download it because its already been downloaded...hence the lack of info "anonymous" and error when trying to download.
