i use textfree and the notifications come 20 minutes after the text is sent. I checked the times of the text and they are consistently 20-25 minutes away from the notifications. Would this be due to bad wifi? I wasn't having a problem before i switched to a custom rom or after i switched to a custom rom. The notifications would appear right when the text was sent. (running SenSay rom) Everything was fine, but then textfree started acting up.

Hmmm... My guess would be in the applications settings it refreshs in the background every so often and you should be able to change it to immediately.
That's odd. Mine come in 2 secs before the SMS! I haven't changed any settings.

I have noticed some strange activity on my phone. Seemingly random (no rcv'ing texts, voicemails, etc), the hang up button and the middle button will light up and the call button will flash. This happens when the phone is sleeping and when I am using it. Its almost as if I am rcv'ing a call, but no one is trying to call. Any ideas?
i noticed the same thing. i think its a notification for a new text message or voicemail.
well, I suppose that is possible however I have no new texts, no notifications that should be going off at the times it is. Buggy? I run ROMeOS Fuze edition with no manila, but I noticed it on another rom (NATF maybe?)
I'm wondering if anyone else is missing notifications for calls, texts and emails. People will text me and I won't get an audible notification or an led blink. Same thing for calls. It doesn't do that all the time but over the past few days I've missed calls and text messages for hours because of this. I am running the stock OS rooted.

Yes, I have the same issue. Seems to happen if I don't go back to the home screen before a screen timeout. If I let the screen time out within messages and then get a text from some one I already have a message from I won't get a notification.

No big issues on stock rom on my phone, but sometimes when I get two messages from two different people at the same time it goes a little mental and only gives a notification for the other txt. Then, later I discover I had received two instead of one messages.
So first off, I'd really prefer to use the stock messaging app over Handcent. I just like the feel and look of it better. However, I am having a rather annoying issue where notifications of new messages aren't coming through correctly. I have it set to turn on screen and open quick message on receipt, but usually the phone just vibrates and the screen turns on to the lock screen. Some times the screen doesn't come on at all. I'm currenly on the latest CM10 nightly, but remember this problem from when I was running stock (which was why I switched to Handcent in the first place).
Another thing I've noticed - this happens on Handcent and Stock Messaging App - is that in the quick message screen new messages appear twice or sometimes three times, but inside the app itself the message is only there once. I would love some help here.

I've been using Honor 3c for about 2 years before changing to Honor 8 and recently I've just updated to nougat.
For these 2 devices I've noticed that there are delays in receiving messages from facebook's Messenger when I'm connected to a wifi network. When I send messages from Messenger to my friends the messages show a blank circle without any tick. After about 2 or 3 minutes the messages will only get sent out(the blank circle box showed a tick).
I'm a person who messages and replies very fast so it's kinda annoying when you send and receive messages with delays.
I've set the "Protected Apps" properly so that it can run when the screen is off. Nothing's wrong with my wifi network.
What could be the problem?
Do you keep the app open in the background? You need to swipe down in multitasking to put a lock on it. Is the delay not just the time it takes for the other person to receive/read as they may not have good connection. Ps if it's been happening for around 2 years from your 3c it can be your wifi/dns settings
So as of recently, an irritating bug has popped up with texting. What happens is when I send a text, it'll sit at "Sending" for 2-3 minutes and then I have a notification stating "Messages has been detected using SMS" or something to that effect. I'm using Google Messages. Has anyone been having this issue? Creeped up in the last couple weeks. Phone is 100% stock, no rooting etc.
