Are coworker of mine just came to me saying that she updated her HTC Facebook app and keeps getting a "Facebook authentication failed" error when she uses it. She is running stock 2.2, any ideas?

Clear all data or uninstall then re-install. Happens to me when I restore apps & data.

If that doesnt work, could be facebook's new security option and it could be set up wrong for her. You are now able to set up phone authentication in facebook where you will try to log in on your mobile device (or any device) and will first be prompted with "Wrong username/password" but then will receive a text with a 6 digit code to put in as a password instead. Have her check out those settings in facebook on a computer she can log onto. Hope it helps

Hi All,
Does anyone get a message on the Phone (seemingly on any ROM), with the word "Sending..." at the bottom of the screen? Phone is a Sensation (Not XE)
This happens (or is noticed more) when I do a factory reset, and even before I can add a wifi point, or even before I add the Google account I get a pop-up message saying "Sending..."
I'm currently on a Funzy ROM, but even using other's (Elegancia, InsertCoin, Energy, Doesn't matter using either ICS or Gingerbread) I still get the pop-up message saying "Sending...". See screenshot attached.
Does anyone know what this is referring too since I don't have an email account setup at this point?
Rgds
Tony
I get this message aswell, it seems to happen to me when i change sd card or go through settings.
im feeling paranoid about what its sending, maybe its automated error reports
maybe its collected information about me being send to developers or andriods headquarters
but whatever it is there must be a setting to way to disable it.
I also have this before. What I did was to format all partitions including sd card and reinstalled a fresh rom.
Do a backup of your items first.

I have been getting the same message on my Samsung S3. Can't fund much information anywhere about it but I think it maybe the email program. Are you running exchange active sync?
I have turned off the email check frequent on my Gmail account to see if that stops it. I will let you know what I find out.

Hi Guys,
I've got a issue while I was trying to disable google now from the settings tab in the app. I've got an error popup saying "It's impossible to disable the tabs due to a network error. Check your network connection an try again". I tried to reboot, I really don't no what to do. I'm on an S4 device with 4.1.1 Stock rom without root or anything else. I've bought the phone just a week ago.
Here the screenshot (sorry it's Italian).
are you still logged into your Google account?

if I log out google now just disappear, then when I re-login in my google account the same issues again. the only things I can do it's to disable the single tabs in each setting menu (traffic, flight...) but i can't disable google now from the main settings page posted above.
Have you tried just an uninstall and reinstall of Google search?

ok so o hope this is in the right spot. i have a rooted SR on stock rom, unlocked on t mobile and all of a sudden i am having issues with the native email app not sending yahoo mail. i did nothing, down loaded nothing, no weird reboots nothing. all i get is that the email could not be sent and moved to my drafts. i have deleted and reset up my email and still nothing. i also rebooted my phone and nothing. has any one had or having issues or is it just me and my phone?
Try removing the account and setting it back up using the "other" option instead of choosing yahoo.

sounds like you're not getting internet to the phone or the outgoing settings are wrong. verify internet. and check the outgoing mail server settings haven't changed on yahoo's end.

How would I go about doing this? It's seems all the other functions that require Internet work fine. I also have no problems, well few problems receiving email. I have it set to push and for the most part get email regularly. It's just the sending that's become an issue. It sends every once in a while but usually get the error.

I just tried "other" and it won't let me set it up. I Googled the settings but they must have changed since March? I can find any settings newer than that, maybe some one has some newer settings they can provide?

ok it seems there is a new protocol on the yahoo servers, adding "android.imap.mail.yahoo.com" and some other changes. if i set it manually it works. the only thing is that i need it to be pushed not poled. the only option in "other" is to check every 15 mins. how would i go about getting the automatic email set up to recognize this new change and let me set up my email as push?
Try adding it back under yahoo and see if there is any option to modify server settings. I don't think you can choose manual set up like with other but may be able to modify settings after its added. If not, could try the yahoo mail app in the playstore it may have a push option. I don't have a Yahoo account so I've never used it but might be worth checking out.

Luckily I remembered I have a friend that works for yahoo, son had some inside help. Guess it was a spamming issue. Seems that if you reply to the same person too many times in the same email thread the system makes it as spam and requires a captcha for sending. Well since a phone can't see that, it fails to send. So now I have to wait 24 hours to reset and see if that fixes things. Thanks guys

So in the 1.7.0 update you have to have an account to access the venom hub. I set up an account and got the email to confirm my email. I clicked what I thought was a link (it was a question mark in a box) it navigated to my internet app and the message said (account removed) tried to log in and it says the email or pass is incorrect. I can't even make another one. help please

I flashed viper for my wife an she had to accept it on a pc to get it to work. As I don't use viper but that worked for her!

Go to Settings > Accounts and sync and click on "Venom" and remove your account.
Then try again and you should get all the prompts and email again. I had a hard time getting the confirm or cancel buttons to show (they pictures) as well. There will 2 tiny squares at the bottom of the email - the one on the right is confirm. Hope this helps.
I'm not sure why the buttons are messed up. Gmail acted like there were no pictures at all.

Hello, I am using an old galaxy S4 as a slave device to setup android auto wireless. Ive rooted the device and all thats left is to add the AAgateway app from XDA labs. The problem is that I have tried logging into the xda labs app several times both with username and password and with Google and it won't let me. When I try using my username and password it says the password is invalid. But ive checked if correct several times and also changed my password twice. Still says invalid. When I try using Google, it hangs after I click on my Google account with a green background but its stuck there. Ive cleared cache. Deleted app and reinstalled also waited till next day to try logging in again with no success. Can anyone help me please? I just want to be able to download the apps on xda labs.

I've had this problem once, and it was because the WiFi network wasn't connecting me to internet, see if you can browse internet with your connection. Otherwise your password may be wrong. Did you tried to modify your account's password ?
Also, I think Google login on XDA Labs is broke because Google + is gone, but idk if they fixed it or not because I don't use Google to sign-in.
If you still didn't find the answer, consider asking there :

P.S: I've been using XDA Labs while rooted for about 3 month, and I didn't encounter any problem. So I don't think root is the problem (except if it affects your network connectivity)

I checked the internet connection and its fine. I've changed my password twice and it still says it's wrong. I check several times to make sure my password was correct so not sure why it says its wrong. Ill check the link you sent me.
