i have a question about getting more speed while using a2sd+... my sd card is not the fastest and i'm tired of getting lags with daily use apps like facebook, whatsapp and opera. so my question: is it possible to switch chosen apps in internal storage and the others with a2sd+ to sd?
and what about dalvik cache? in kyrillos or kyrora is it with a2sd+ on sd or internal? and is it useful(for speed) to switch it to internal?

Yes it is very much possible to have few apps in internal memory and rest in SD card. For this you need a properly formatted SD Card which has partitions. If you are on Kyrillos ROM then App2SD is already there, else you will have to do it on your own. On Kyrillos ROM , install an app called KMAP and it will help you with that...let me know if u need any help with this.
u are using custom or stock rom...
flash kyrillos rom and enable hybrid data2sd its awesome i m currently using this is very fast and stable...
be sure if u r new to this flashing thing then carefully read instruction and how to use odin cause if u do something wrong ur phone might be brick...

Data2SD makes phone laggy. Hybrid Data2SD doesn t. In that you can choose what all folders you want to move to the SD card. How to tutorial is given in the G3Mod thread. Check it.

There's also another alternative available, i.e. Link2SD. Just search for it in the market and follow the instructions mentioned in the description.
I myself have a class 2 sd card, and after switching to Link2SD I've barely gotten any lags on my device!
but how to get link2sd worked while app2sd+ is working?

Ok so i finally installed kyrillos' rom 9.3
now i've searched around for how to install apps in SD and came across the app2sd scripts which are a little complicated then i thought. How can i install apps in my SD , is there any easier way to do that? like an app?
Also i would be installing quite a lot of stuff like 100+ games / programs etc. Got a 16 gig card so will be installing lots of apps. Will that make the phone slower or something like that?
I would appreciate any help i can get
You can try Link2SD. It's an app which provide the same feature as App2SD. I never use it though.

Kyrillos already have hybrid app2sd which instal app directly to Ur sd card partition.. And consider it asp internal memory..
If u want to dump Ur data also in sdcard them instal kmapp and choose data also to be gone in sdcard... And enjoy

I recommend you use Link2SD also. In options of the program mark checkbox "Auto link", then all newly installed applications will be automatically moved to SD card. Useful feature Link2SD is moving to SD widgets.

I got apps2sd kyrillos' script working finally. The partition in the memory card was causing problems. Sorted out by making partition via the CWM.
working great now. Oh and btw there is an awesome ap called ZDbox which can help you move apps to the memory card aswell which is kinda neat too. But still i prefer kyrillos' awesome script which automatically does that. I had like 150mb and i install some programs and games and all it took was like 5 mb xD

What about widgets? Can you move them with Kyrillo's script to sd card?
can you give me a guide to what you have done? also on kyrilllos' 9.3, installed some apps and running out of internal memory. i think my partition isnt working ( 4gb card, 1gb partition) properly.....

The apps2sd makes the phone think that external sd partition is part of the internal drive, so i assume it should make it work.

Backup your data from SD card, then format it from the phone. Then reboot into recovery menu (CWM) and scroll down to miscellaneous and from there use "make a partition" command and select 1 gb
simple as that. Then use the instructions given by kyrillos on this thread to install apps2sd script

Does anyone know how to move apps over to the SD card without it freezing or rendering the app unusable?
I move the app and then the phone says "SD card removed, please insert new card" I try to start the app and it won't work.

Running same setup, but on 1.59 radio. On POLA200.
I have the same issue and now I have corrupted my SD.
Nedded to full format and reistall the ROM from skratch
Do any of you tried apps2SK or link2SD ?

Update
I have reinstalled the system from skratch and now installed link2sd on an external 8Gb SD.
I made first partition 7 Gb FAT 32 Primary and second partition 1 Gb Ext2 Primay (both shall be primary).
Copy all your SD data to the FAT32 one than insert it in the mobile and boot.
I everything goes well, now you should see your FAT32 partition.
Now install Link2SD from the market (it is free) and follow the instructions.
You need to reboot once more and the mobile is OK. All your apps will be stored in SD.
Enjoy.

But few days ago when I up rom sense 5 v3: notification when phone stated is “Storage almost full”. I check Internal Storage: available space is less than 1Mb. I can’t action anything on my phone except call & message. Available space of SD storage is no problem
The first, I think the reason by rom, but when I up any other rom, the problem is the same. I don’t know what to do

You also need to install a memory script like mounts2sd or int2ext to make the phone move files from internal storage to the ext partition on sdcard. (Although newer ROMs come with built in support)
I assume you've already installed some such app, in which case you might have to configure it to move dalvik cache and data to external.

u need to flash the rom again...but wipe evrything excpt sd card...n use memory scripts...

i m using flyrom v4.. i wanted data to b on internel memory so i moved cache to ext and have only 10 apps installed using mount2sd after restarting it shows in kbs

Restart your phone. Dont touch it for 15 mins. Let it load up and try again

Using Mini Cm9 rom and mount2sd script but when I cross 150mb limit then it shows "Sd Card unexpectedly removed" I searched a lot but did not find any help..
I am using 16gb sandisk sd card

use int2ext..
google it...extract on pc..search the 40int2ext..copy to sd card..
using root browser copy it system/etc/init.d folder...set permissions...TICK ALL..reboot

I tried this but that did not work.......although same things happen with link2sd and any built in script in roms like nextgen and jaggy........while sd card work in mobile perfectly...

This is happend to just mini cm9 in other roms display gone off and soft keys keep brightening....solution restart the phone.......very irritating

& what about stock rom, does that one work well? if you have these issues in stock rom too than maybe it's a hardware problem.

Stock and all other roms works good and this problem only occur when I want to increase my internal memory......:silly:
looks like problem with my sd card I also tried another card but this slow down pico to hell......

How to make 2 ext partition......I am using Mini tool for partition..........and sizes of partition????
1-create sd-data partition ext4 as primary 1gb

i m having trouble using mount2sd. whenever i try to move data or cache to ext the phone gets laggy even after reboot
Hey, i'm new to these forums and new to android tinkering indeed.
My phone is Xperia j and i was using .31 jb locked bl. My goal is to get .31 rooted and a ram file swap. I downgraded to 7.5. and rooted. After that i copied the .31 rooted zip to my sd card and my internal storage( sd card is class 10 8gb) and i installed CWM (exact version is cwm-sr13gx v6.0.2.7 as shown on my phone). After i run cwm from my phone and i try to "choose zip from card' i just get "no files found".
What am i doing wrong?
Try going to "mounts & storage" and manualy mount sdcard then choose zip from sdcard

I did try that but it the result was the same. I read your posts regarding this issue on a different thread. Well the ram usage is lower now that i am on 7.5 than .31 and i am rooted so i got that going for me. I will test it out more myself, but is 7.5 actually better( performance wise) than .31? I don't see any big ui improvments on .31. Thing is if i can't get CWM to work properly i won't be able to to a ram swap, or is there another way to do it?

I don't see why CWM won't read your sdcard that normaly only happens if the sd is lower than a class 4. try and reinstall CWM. for better performance i would recommend AVD rom it is the fastest stock based custom rom. when you say you want to swap ram what exactly do you mean.

I want to create a extension on my sd card for my ram ( a swap file i understud it was called) like virtual memory on windows. I was going to install than rom later on( starting out on simpler things), but yeah i got stuck on the CWM issue.
Thats not swapping ram its swapping dalvik cache and does not really make much difference and you need a kernel that supports swap which stock kernels don't bro. have you tried another sd in your phone and check that it is formatted as fat32.

Well that was a wasted friday night for me. If i can't do the ram extension thing then there's no point in keeping 7.5 root and i'll just go back to stock .31. Um, can i install games directly on my sd card w/o root?

Yes its fat32, i will try to install the AVD rom you made from another sd card, it sounds really good.
you can move apps to your internal storage with native apps2sd but not all apps/games support it. if you want to root jb .31 then see here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2366577
