Has anyone noticed a huge scroll lag in their current browser of choice. am using Miren browser but it got to a point that is bareble usable. And don't think I noticed this issue on the first day I had my new tablet. Opera seem to be the only one with a smooth scroll but I wonder if its related to the tablet or what .

Miren does not work well on HC tablets. The stock browser is okay and other browsers utilizes stock engine is fine (Dolphin, Maxthon).
Opera is smooth too.

Who likes what, and why?
Dolphin hd. Tabs, addons, gesture support, rss recognition. Just an all around great app.

I still find myself using opera mini more often than not. Could be because I just got so used to it with winmo. But out of the others available, I really like xscope (paid ver) Its very fast and I love all the options and extras, like the task manager and themes.
just curious, anybody whos used both dolphin and xscope, which is better in your opinion?

What browsers has best streaming support? I read that skyfire converts on the fly, but didn't seem to work for me.
I'm really liking xscope as far as the interface goes, i tried Dolphin HD as well as the dolphin HD 2 beta, but it just seems to me that xscope's interface is more feature rich
I really like the native HTC one. It's faster than the others. I think.... On my Blackberry I used Opera Mini, but here the HTC is faster. Not perfect though. Some input text boxes don't work, so I have to use Opera for that.

XScope is great.. probably moves about twice as fast for most lookups compared to the stock browser.
i tested opera, steel, dolphin, dolphin hd, and xscope. been using xscope RELIGIOUSLY since 1.5 on my moment, now glad to have it on my evo. fastest one, chrome style setup, and themes are a bonus
Running the froyo rom and having tried the paid version of xcsope (it looks hideous even with the themes I've found ) skyfire, and Dolphin HD i find the stock browser to be the best overall, the only thing thats driving me nuts at the moment is not being able to easily change the browser id to desktop without digging into about:debug every restart and not being able to go full screen.
Original samsung browser wont work very well. What browser should i use?
I've been having nice results with the Dolphin HD browser so far.
Dolphin hd 4.0 and firefox mobile
Firefox Mobile for me, feels very fast but the fonts seems blurry sometimes.
Dolphin HD. Has the option to add AdBlocker... among many other add-ons.
I'm running Skyfire for the moment, it seems faster than the stock browser. I rried Dolphin as well but Skyfire seems a bit more stable and faster to me, but I have no benchmarks to back up my impression.
Dolphin HD all the way
Tried FireFox two days ago, but it was slow loading pages. The stock browser and Dolphin HD loads 50-80% faster.
Firefox mobile is fast...but the fonts are blurry because it takes a while to render especially if zooming.
Skyfire didn't seem as quick for me when zooming in.
I still ended up going back to Dolphin HD... I love the gesture support and use more of the add ons like shake to switch tabs, etc. I also think their interface is uch more refined
I use xscope, fastest browser for android, dolphin is way too bugged for me

Xscope is way faster than dolphin, it has less bugs, and it can sync his bookmarks with the stock ones, which is a big plus for me, as I use the bookmark widget of launcher pro plus.

Any one manages to get the full bbc iplayer site workin over 3g?
Not the mobile version. I keep being redirected to the mobile site and then It states can not stream over 3g. I try to switch the agent to desktop then bbc states that my phone is not supported :s
This is on both stock browser and also Dolphin HD
Just downloaded Firefox 4 beta 2... just released.... it seems to be MUCH faster than beta 1 which I only tried yesterday. Rendering of text and zooming is quicker also. I can't seem to sync with the desktop version though....

Does it support Flash yet, though? If it does, I'll take another look. Otherwise, I'm trying to decide between Dolphin HD and xScope 6. xScope is a lot prettier, with the glaring exception of bookmarks, which it handles horribly - generating a sort of dynamic web page to list them rather than having a proper UI. No bookmark folders either.
I can't find any speed comparisons between Dolphin 4 and xScope 6, but subjectively they don't feel much different.
anyone know if there is a way to get the tabs browser on the sgs captivate? the tabs browser has the windows button next to the address bar and would be more convenient than stocks. (need stock due to some weird rendering issue with some sites)
Mate its just the stock android 2.2 browser with a few minor and mostly cosmetic changes.
But I've found its considerably slower (in opening web pages) than the browser on my 2.1 milestone.
Xscope6 is the best choice for me
Another vote for xscope. Its the best designed browser in terms of usability, speed and features. Would love to have plugin support though. I would consider switching to Dolphin HD if the interface wouldn't be so ugly (and oversized). Looks like an mp3 skin from 5 years ago. The fullscreen toggle in xscope rocks as well.
Question with dolphin browser? Is there a way to listen to music on one tab while browsing another?
I wanna say no.. try using 2 different browsers in multi-window..that might work

No this works fine. Just tested it out with stock Internet Browser in one small window streaming BBC radio music programme and then running Chrome in a second, large window (80% screen size). Everything works fine. No stuttering on the music and the browser works perfectly smoothly with multiple tabs, no lags. I don't even have a fast internet Wifi connection (around 4Mps total).
Don't have Dolphin but, if this is what you want to do, I'm pretty sure it will work with stock plus Dolphin as well. Just use the Multi-window apk to make the two browsers work together.

In addition if you use the advice in the following new post and pin both browser windows then you can keep the music playing in the background while browsing full screen.

Could also try OverSkreen Floating Browser.

Using Maxthon browser or several ip camera players and nothing works. Any help greatly appreciated.
Do you have flash installed? It kinda works for me, I see the babies but then it crashes right away. I tried firefox and the default browser, they both do the same... so I googled a bit and it seems that Google made it way worse with 4.2.2 for flash support.

You can get flash from the adobe page, in the archived section. What Android version is Rev 3.6?
Thank you very much for the info. It almost plays for me also. I believe the ROM is ICS. After many hours of searching I believe the problem is the Shock Wave player they use. I can't find any flavor of Android that can view Shock Wave .asp streams.
A friend of mine said that Dolphin browser had shockwave support built-in, could be worth a shot.

Could not get that to work but Puffin Free browser does, thanks!
Hi,
Ever since the Jellybean 4.1.2 update I have a problem, my web browsing has slowed to a crawl. I had earlier used Dolphin Browser in ICS and it has always been fast and reliable. Since the update it is my slowest browser. I've tried several others including Opera Mini, Boat Browser, and Chrome; they are all nearly as slow and laggy as Dolphin. The stock Internet Browser seems to be the fastest, but not by much. It takes more than a minute to load the xda-developers forum.
The problem is not related to the internet connection, as i have checked it with different WiFIs. Also, Youtube videos works smooth and downloading things from play store etc are as fast as before.
All other things have incredibly fastened after the jelly bean update.
