as the title asks...
which Ringtones do you like under the Windows Phone section?
how old are you? Is there a valid reason for such a trivial poll?
it is just a question. you needn't answer if you don't want to.
I like the "Ghostbusters" one... oh wait... that's my own. Yeah, i'll go with "none" then.

im looking for the files, or maybe even a .cab installer of the htc sliding sounds application. ive searched around on here for hours, and all i can find is the program by teirmann(sp).
That would be cool for the WM6.1 slider as well.
i just want to get the offical htc sliding sounds to test out stuff with. if anyone can get a dump of those from a rom or w/e, that would be great.
Hey guys, i just rough drafted a wiki page of how you can make your own sliding sounds on the kaiser.. http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Sliding Sounds
also theres this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=382966
You can find a couple sliding sound cab's there. I created two one is a shotgun pump and the other is a golf theme i created for someone.
So head over there, make your request and if i can find the right wav's i'll create it for you. or go to the wiki page i created and see if u can follow it.
yep, problem is tho, i dont have a kaiser. ive got a hermes. i wanna just test out the HTC software from the kaiser for my own curiosity.
hmm dont know if there is a software for it, just some registry files.
folow that wiki page and try to create them and see if it'd work for u.. i'd try it for u but to be honest.. i have no clue where my hermes is.
ive tried the registry thing, im pretty sure it also involves a control panel applet as well... i guess thats what i want/need then.

you can rip it off one of the kaiser roms. should be "keyboard sliding sound.cpl"
i think u need to look for the trigger that tells the device to activate a sound once the screen orientation is changed.
awesome, any idea how i can rip the cpl file from one of the roms???? i have brief access to a Kaiser(friend at work), so if its something that i could get from the phone while its in operation??? or any tips on how i could rip it out of the rom?? btw, i know nothing about cooking rooms or anything.

yep, have u bothered reading the thread at all??? first post i said i dont really like that one. i just want to experiment and try to get the one from the kaiser rom.
Hey, if you're still looking for the Slide Sound cab file PM me and I'll send it to you. It is the Native HTC Slide Sound app that came on the Mogul but it works on the Touch Pro.
Hey, if anybody still needs the sliding keyboard sound on their HTC phone send me a PM. I have the Native HTC app and made a cab that has extra sounds with it.
I've got my touch pro setup so when I connect via wifi at home, I can navigate to the shared folders on my pc and look at photos and stuff. Can the iphone do this?
Do you realise that you are in a forum dedicated to Windows Mobile?
thanks for not answering my question. I was hoping that someone coming from the iphone would let me know.
thanks again for wasting my time.

Hi @ all,
this is my first post here, because i don't know very much about programming and developing, so i just read through the forum
My english isn't very well, so please excuse me
My question or problem is, that I would like to cut or edit a song with my Omnia.
For example, cut the first seconds and set it as ringtone, so that the song begins at a good moment.
My brother has a Htc Touch Diamond, and has such a program, its called Mp3 Trimmer, I think.
I hope you understand my request and will mention a prog, that I can use.
Thank you very much,

Yes, perhaps it should, but it doesnt...
No, installation doesnt fail, but he says, that it might not work right, because it is for an older version of WM.
When I try to start it, it doesnt open.
ok, it does open... for less than a second and closes again.
I reinstalled it, but it doesnt change anything.

Try a hard reset then install. The bottom of it will be cut of but it should run. I even used it to cut an mp3
If you past these two png's (contained in the zip file attached) into your windows directory then after a quick reset - the program will fit the screen properly.

I have a HTC 7 Trophey had no issues with it and so liken it .
The one thing i cant stand is the default ringtones. Can i use Mp3's as ringtones
Sorry if this question has been asked
Yes, this question has been asked, and NO. At the moment there are people working in the file access of WP7, and you must wait until someone makes an app that let you modify the files in the system area.
But don't worry, is a matter of time.
Microsoft are also supposed to be working on an app for that to be released with the Fabled January update
Let Me Google That For You
Guys, I have a buddy of mine with an HTC HD7 and some version of windows on it. He asked me if I can find out WHERE to get FREE ringtones that he can download through the phone?
I have no idea and wasn't sure if I posted it in the right section.
THanks
George
atleast you can convert your mp3 to wma 48kb by using converter.thats what i do
??????????????
You cannot set custom ringtones if it's a Windows Phone 7. As for yet, that is. Recent Mango update promises to add this feature.
We are going back in time
Eventually, WP7 will be able to do most the things that WM6.x did.
Friggin' incredible. He says he can download them but has to subscribe to something. Doesn't that mean you CAN or you were talking about not doing it for free?
THanks
George
You need to Dev Unlock your device & you can use Chevron WP7 Custom Ringtone Manager to make custom ringtones.
Thanks. So bottom line is, right now, you CAN NOT get any ringtones other than what come with the phone?
If I get that manager, are there any places where he can download ringtones for FREE or do you have to actually MAKE your own?
Thanks again
George
