Sense - Verizon Droid Charge

Is there any way to make my phone look like htc sense?

A while back there was a sense theme for froyo but aside from that no.

I believe ADW has a sense theme for their launcher.

There is a sence clock that includes Digital clock widget with Calendar, Time, System info, weather & forecast
This was one thing I personally missed from my HTC windows phone days
I ran it on every phone until I found HD Widgets (was a 10 cent special and works great.
SenseClock
Hd Widgets currently 99 cents
One of these should make you happy

Maybe this was his first android? It sure was mine, and when I was buying, I was deciding between tbolt, charge, and revo. Revo was binged so that was out. I looked at reviews of tbolt and charge and some said they preferred TW and some said sense. Without any experience on Android I had no idea what the difference was. I bought the charge based on the tbolt's 4 hour battery and the screen of the Charge in the corporate store.
After getting involved in android communities I know the differences between the UIs and TW is the worst (for me)

sweet jesus, why anyone would prefer touchjizz over sense or aosp is beyond me... especially when I saw the HIDEOUS color scheme along with it on the Charge, I was like OH GOD WHY *tear*

{REQ/QUESTION} HTC Sense 3.0

Is anyone working on a Sense 3.0 ROM for the G2X? I've already seen it running beautifully on the MT4G

Nope no development. And likely wont see one. Asking for a sense rom on a non htc phone is blasphemy.

I agree...I like stock a lot better than any skin, even HTC Sense. Either way, I haven't heard anything about a Sense ROM for the G2X yet. Maybe when official Gingerbread comes out and development (hopefully) picks up again someone will port or start making a Sense ROM.

This. The Sensation, which has stronger hardware, is slower than the g2x. That's all you really need to know about Sense.

GO Weather has a widget that can be skinned to look exactly like HTC and yet is free. Has other skins too, and even a live wallpaper that changes based on the weather.

All I want is the lock-screen, unless someone has advice for something similar for a rooted stock G2x.
Until we get drivers for gingerbread, a lot of ports are just not going to happen. Once lg/nvidia releases what we need, you'll be able to port anything over within reason. (On my old hd2 I had sense 3.0 running perfectly. And it's hardware specs were a lot lower than this. AND it ran well. Just needs quite a bit of tweaking.)
Seems like no one has come accross MIUI lol. THAT is the best ever. Hands down.

MIUI soon :)

Depends on taste......CM7 i think has better performance, but Miui is the must have anyone that loves to customize there phone. it lets you change everything piece by piece but it has no app drawer unless you use a launcher to get it back otherwise all your apps will just be on the front pages.
there both great, but cm7 still has my vote on sheer smoothness and tweaks. but again i loved "ee"'s themes for Miui so who knows

It is very "iPhonish" when you first use MIUI; throw a lancher on it, though, and it's back to business as usual. Very slick, very smooth, very customizable (if that's a word). Oh, and it's based on CM 7.1 sources. I've tried all sorts of ROMs on my Inspire, but I always end up going back to MIUI, it's just too damn nice. Getting a SR soon, and I'd love to see a MIUI build for it.

I agree with this. Almost every aspect of MIUI is iPhone ripped. Throwing a launcher over top of it kind defeats the purpose of MIUI (IMHO).
I have used MIUI and it had horrible battery life, right up there with CM7. Personally I would never use MIUI or CM7 ever again (on one of my phones).
That being said
I have MIUI on my daughters phone because she loves the iPhone and since I am giving her my Captivate for Christmas and she really wants an iPhone, I decided to put MIUI on it to ease the pain. LOL
agreed,
women seem to love miui though......hence why i am trying to put it on my old cappy to give to my GF.
but am having issues with the drivers.
i dont mind CM7, with the right kernel the battery drain is not that bad......but yes it can get annoying to have plug your up to the wall every couple hours as a preemptive strike on your phone dying.

I have had iphone3 3gs and 4. I don't like them and this captivate is already paid for. So I'm not buying a new phone when this one works fine. Especially since she's 14 and this captivate is a huge upgrade for her.

Ok. So what would it take to get MIUI ported onto SR? What's the process? I tried everything on my HD2 and i always ended up with MIUI. And now i upgraded to SR and would love to install MIUI on it. How to we initiate it?

Why does everyone wants ICS so much?

Hey guys, I recently went into Verizon and played with the galaxy nexus. Its a nice phone, but what's so fantastic about ICS? I thought it was too dark, and really slow (at least the display model was). I've used sky-ics rom and I had to go back to StockMod.
So why exactly does everyone want it and ask about it? Personally I prefer touchwiz, its a lot more intuitive. The biggest difference I saw was the widgets displayed in the launched and the recent app tray thing. But its not like a game changer.
I don't mean to offend anyone, but just curious.

the main reason i want ICS is that its a whole UI overhaul. it looks smooth and fancy. lol. i had ICS on my captivate and LOVED it. i cant wait to have ICS on my skyrocket

It has been 3 months since the last post. Is it better? Is it a battery and/or Ram hog? The themes look great so I was just wondering if this could possibly be worth that much $$.
Its nice, but its not really worth the cost. There are launchers just as good available for much cheaper.

I'm using it right now...I dig it. Its unique and its actually very fast.
Not as customizable for sure as let's say Go Launcher EX..but go launcher is a memory hog and gave tons of FC's.
I've tried ADW EX and a handful of others...even Rocket Launcher
What other good customizable launchers are out there?

just use the sense4 theme on an aosp rom, it gets you the look. Most don't miss the functionality. Huge app previews on app switcher? There's mods around to do that. Lock screen copycats are available on apps as well. Can't think of anything else to miss.

I always liked Sense, but it has too much UI lag for me. But we'll never see that on a non HTC phone now, way too much work, too complicated, and to most devs that could do it, not worth the effort

I like Sense better in regards to "out of the box", however, until HTC starts putting decent sized (removable) batteries on their Verizon phones..... Well, I now own a Samsung.
Now that I took the leap to root and customize it a bit more, I may change my mind about which I prefer later. I'm not a fan of "stock Android", but Touchwiz seems to offer a little bit of both worlds.
