Hello,
recently i have had my own ftp site and I 'm looking for an app or another solution to enter this site.
This I want to do without dropbox or app like this and lets say that the files in the ftp are .pdf.
Does anyone know how?
Is there an app for ftp that i do not know?
As I can see,the ie browser is not compatible.

Hi All,
I am trying to find the ftp site and how to get there. I did try the search, typed in ftp and seemed to get every post from the last 6 months, none with ftp in them. Anyways, does anyone have the link to the ftp site and passwords. Thanks in advance.
Todd
Wiki.xda-developers.com is up in the left corner
it have
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=BA_FTP_Site
the things in wiki are not something which normal forum search leads you to
because it only search the forum
if your browser have problems with the ftp use a real ftp client
google and search ftp client
or going to www.download.com and searching ftp client will also give you a client
I was wondering if anybody have any sort of program? I don't want to remember to sync my phone and transfer the photos.
I rather have it be uploaded to FTP or w/e after I take pictures using phone. Direct facebook upload would so rockkk!

1. some pic viewers have already built-in Web sync / upload modules. See my Picture Viewer Bible ( http://www.winmobiletech.com/PICVIEWERS )
2. do you plan to use an FTP client? Then, check out my FTP Client Bible and select the one you like the best (there are VAST differences between the clients, mostly speed-wise).

Resco Explorer is the answer. Try Resco 2007. It has got an FTP client. I use the same on my Vox. I do connect to my webserver and do upload/download successfully.

Try Total Commander. It has got a Registry editor and text editor aswell as FTP and file explorer. It's free too.
Roland
Resco can only download from ftp server. I need upload too.
Total commander doesn't connect to my server. Some port problems:O Everything on ftp server is just like casual (port 21 etc, very simple).
Does anyone use some other application to upload files to ftp servers?

Using Resco, you can definitely upload too. There is no upload command. You need to use Edit -> Copy and Paste Command. In detail:
1. Select the file which you want to upload.
2. Select Action Menu. Then chose Edit -> Copy.
3. Now go to Menu -> Favorites -> My FTP Locations.
4. Connect to the Server, which you may have already configured.
5. Go to the folder in server, where you want to upload the file.
6. Then select Action -> Edit -> Paste.
The file gets uploaded. That's it. It works for me.
did not know resco could do that...
thanks.

Welcome mate. In fact, I found out this capability of Resco, in desperation. Once, I had left office for the day, after sending a confirmation email to client, thinking that the shipment (software) to the client is completely done and uploaded to the server. After half an hour, while sitting in train I realized that I forgot to upload some of the required files, without which client wud have hardly been able to do anything with the shipment. Luckily, I had taken the backup of the project in my Vox. Opened Resco and tried to find out a way somehow. Finally, just tried the above mentioned practise and I was thru. That day realized, if you are desperate, there will always be a way to success.
Thank You.
PS. I just figured out it myself and came here to tell my story about resco and uploading but like I see I am too late
Hi
I live in Iran and here, tweeter is censored. so there is no direct way to access it. but for example, we have Opera Mini that uses a proxy to connect to web, and so it bypasses the censorship. is there any similar app (you know, i mean android app) that uses a proxy to connect to tweeter?
Thanx dudes ;-)
Built-in Proxy
I do not what device you have but I would suggest getting a ROM with a working built-in proxy and using it for ALL of your communications...just saying...
But the problem is that i dont have a proxy server myself, so i want to use an app that it has!
Please, I have a program apk that is redirected to a site where the contents of the application, and wanted to know how to know which web address connects.
Thanks
