Hi, my smartphone sometimes start to a continuous multimedia scanning (like when you plug/unplug from the cable used to connet the device to a pc) without any reason. I stop for some hours and the for fews minutes it start his madness. Any idea? I have updated to last version with android 2.3.6

Do you have an SD card in the device? Is it of decent quality? With a generically branded card in my old tablet it would display the same sort of behavior.
I have tried to remove the sd card but nothing. This morning it was very bad, when I disconnected the battery charger it started to scan multimedia for an hour. I tried all: switch it of, removed sd, removed battery and then, when i was totally full of his beep-beep it stopped. Now it is in silence. I think could be an usb problem because during his madness if reconnect the battery charger i stopped. Another things, it all started when updated to 2.3.6 from 2.3.5, a bugged release? Or, i have to call an exorcist? ty 4 your help

This morning I tried to flash bikertibi's WM6.5 ROM.
In the middle of flashing, the connection was lost and now my phone is stuck in the tricolor bootloader screen.
the weird thing is that the screen keeps flashing? is like it keeps restarting every 15 seconds or so. So it can't retain a connection with my computer long enough for me to do anything.
when i take out the battery and leave it for a while before placing it back, it could hold the connection for a longer period of time (but not that long. probably for a minute?).
i can't figure out what is the problem. I've changed the USB cable and still no change. could it be the battery has problems or is it a hardware problem?
many thanks to anyone who could help (tho i'm not optimistic since this part of the forum seems quite dead)
well
Now...this is vry important ...... plz do at ur own risk...
remove the battery
Cut ur data cable (USB) and u'll find a white wire in da bundle of wires ... connect it to the battery plug near the camera
All the others , u connect to the last plug...(there are 6 plugs for putting battery...do not connect to the middle ones)
now connect the USB cable to ur "xp" pc.
the pc will recognize the device and start syncing...
run the rom u want AFTER COMLETING SYNC ... It is sure to succeed ...
plz if any thing happend let me know

I losted a lot of times comm upgrading Roms and NOTHING HAPPENS! (sorry for screaming...) Try to search some info at forums but....
-Try to close your upgrading soft (PC)
-Switch off-on your phone
-Connect usb cable again and try to upgrade now.
(maybe it refuses 2 or 3 times the upgrading, but I was trying and after 4 times it was like ever!)
Please, make it as your own risk.
Good luck friend!!
I have same Problem PLease Help
Have S200 G3 in Tri Color screen that gets to 50% on ROM load before it starts shutting off n on. It does the same thing if it is plugged into a pc via usb cable w/ battery installed after a short period of time.
It does not turn off n on it it is simply sitting there w/ the battery installed. Only when it is plugged in w/ a USB.
Does some 1 have access to info on phone recovery via flash card and Rom that I can use.
If not steps on resolving the problem long enough to load a basic Rom on the unit.

Provide better break down, if possible w pics of actual steps. Ex. I don'd understand what you mean about the white wire and middle conectors in battery section. Only allow the other 2 to connect or ???

I was able to update my phone last night to NoDo, and now I'm coming across a strange issue that I would like to know if anyone else is running into. When I plug my phone into mylaptop (using the same cable and same port as before the upgrade), Windows and Zune detects my phone is connected, and begins to sync my content. However, it gets to about 1% synced and then displays an error message about how the connection timed out. Yet, if I use WiFi Sync, my phone begins syncing, however it is taking forever.
Now, I do have a Kingston 32GB Class 4 MicroSD card installed, and the reg hacks to disable Power Management. I tried removing them and rebooting. Then re-adding them and then rebooting. No change in behavior. What I did notice was that as soon as the screen goes to sleep, a few seconds after that the message appears. Yet if I wake the screen, the Battery icon shows that the phone is still plugged in.
Can anyone else who has a similar setup as mine confirm if they experience this behavior?
So am I the only one?!?
You may want to post this in the Samsung Focus forums. I'm a Focus owner too but I'm not using a SD so I wouldn't know.
For whatever it's worth, I haven't run into any Wi-Fi Sync issues yet. Have you tried a different USB cable or a different USB port? Sometimes it can be as simple as that.
I don't have any WiFi Sync issues, other than it's slow. Looking at the throughput, I'm maxing out the bandwidth for 802.11g anyhow. I wish MS would enable 802.11n on our phones.
I tried connecting my phone to my desktop, and I was able to sync an MP4 video (over 1GB in size) with no problems. And using the very same cable I was using with my laptop. So, something is wrong with my laptop, and off to investigate it. It appears my issue isn't related to NoDo at all.
you hack your phone, sometimes you get bugs.

I had the same problem before NoDo, IMO it is related to USB ports. My guess is if you have all your USB ports in use, or even a device that draws a lot of power, it causes the transfer to be interrupted. I have my notebook on a cooling pad that draws power from a USB port, when I have it plugged in Zune transfers fail. When I unplug it transfers complete without problems.
I had the exactly same issue on all usb ports on my pc at home, where i connected the phone pre nodo(did the update from work)
My guess its a windows problem something that messes up the Zune Sync Driver. You can notice the issue with different usb port also with your mouse, if you de an re connect to the same port no driver installing happens, if yo de and re connect to a port where it never was before, some installation happens. Issue should be some where in there.

I agree with Phoneguy. I think it's your port. I've had syncing problems as well. I have never got the error you're tlking about. But I would have to keep plugging and unplugging phone to get it recognized. My issue I believe is with the mini usb connection. All of my phones (Tilt,Tilt 2,3125,8525) had a problem with the mini usb becoming loose, which makes syncing and charging a pain in the ass.
I almost had the same issue, but if your phone is hacked then it is obvious that there are bugs
Same situation. After Nodo, my focus just syncs for 20-30 sec average and then i have to unplug it and reconnect it several times to get 100% of the syncing done. Help appreciated. Thanks
i have the same exact problem. i have a focus with a 16gb sd card. so 22 gig total.
before nodo, i was able to fill the whole 22gb.
now, the sync problems starts when I hit 8 gig of TOTAL SPACE USED. Aka when the sd card is needed since I have 8 gig onbard my Samsung Focus.
I have some usb devices connected to the pc, i will disconnect everything and try again. ill update this post with the result.

didnt work !
I have a galaxy s2 skyrocket, yes it is rooted.
My phone ran out of juice last night and I started to charge it.
I had class at 12, woke up at 11 so I turned off my phone to make it charge quicker. a few minutes later it was on. I tired turning it off to no avail. It turns off and comes right back on. I then tried to put it into usb mode so I could copy a few songs onto it....It wouldnt go into usb mode (it recognized the charge, but not the fact it was plugged into a pc) Kies wouldnt recognize it.
Did 3 factory resets, didnt work still same issues.
Also, it wont go into download mode, just vibrates every few seconds until i let go.
any help is appreciated.

Are you running an ICS rom or on GB rom or stock with root?
Stock GB with a root.
What do you mean ran out of juice? It went completely dead and shut off?

That's odd issue. Lets see did ya try to chose the option phone in USB debugging mode then plug your usb cable and check if you get the usb mass storage in the notification bar so you can activate it from there? Also check the drivers in your pc just in case. Sorry if my English sounds bad english not my natal language.
Every action that failed is cable dependent. Try a different "known good" USB cable, or test your same cable with another smartphone. Test On/off while connected, Mass Storage PC connection and Download Mode if possible.
***SOLVED****I have a Samsung Galaxy Skyrocket 2 SGH-I727, rooted on gb 2.3.5. It has been working flawlesly for months. All of a sudden, when I connected the device to power I was UNABLE to shut it down. I would slelect shut down and it would REBOOT itself instead of staying shut down and showing the BATTTERY ICON charging. Also suddenly I could not access the device as a mass storage from windows. Windows would say device not recognized. After researching for hours I came across one idea the did the trick. The problem was simple. The USB connector "tongue" inside the USB adapter in the phone apparently got bent somehow. This precented the USB cable connecting in from making contact with all the wires inside and THAT caused the 2 problems mentioned in the title. I took a very thin micro flat head screwdriver, GENTLY CAREFULLY put a little pressure on the USB tongue inside the phone's USB adapter and voila!...I could shut down the phone while connected to power, Windows again regognized the device. Who wold have thunk it?
For any of you who come across this, and I saw MANY MANY, not only for GS2 but for MANY andriod devices, and many failed "solutions", here is the answer!...
Have fun.
I think I have a similar problem.
Until two weeks phone was working perfectly fine. Then realized that the battery was getting drained in about 4-6 hours even when idle with no apps running, sometimes battery charge dropped like 15% in a moment, it didn’t indicate charging when connected to power though battery got charged and sometimes it indicated as charging when not connected to power. Phone could not be detected when connected to PC. Also, if I connected to PC after shutting it down, it automatically rebooted. This was weird.
Then when battery was fully dead and I connected to power, it tried to boot but immediately shutdown saying ‘low battery’ and again tried to boot… it was stuck in this loop.
I thought it might be android issue so flashed it with UCKK6 Kernel + Rooted System Package ((Thanks to creepyncrawly’s Download Repository)
But now, it still is not detected by the PC. It boots automatically when connected to PC after shutting down, but not when connected to wall power.
Cleaned the micro USB connecter, tried different cables and laptops.
Earlier Android: Version 2.3.6; Baseboard Version I777UCKK6; Kernel Version 2.6.35.7
After Flashing: Version 2.3.6; Baseboard Version I777UCKK6; Kernel Version 2.6.35.7
Pls I I tried to flash cm rom 12.1 on sgh 1727 skyrocket and it stuck on patching system image unconditionally n it stays there forever please what can I do?
First of alli beg your pardon for my English.
I have a Xperia Z5 (E6683) about 6 months ago and everything worked normally until I upgrade to Android 7.1.1.
My cell phone does not recognize that it is plugged into the charger or the PC.
- Restore factory settings.
- Reinstalled Android.
- Installed Android 6.0, 6.0.1 and 7.0.
- PC Companion
When I finish installing any version of Android, the USB connection of the cell phone works normally. I can recharge, transfer files ... After 1 or 2 days the USB simply stops working or if I reboot the phone the USB also stops.
I tried Android 5.1.1 and the usb works to load, but not to transfer files. If I restart the smartphone connected to the pc it recognizes that it is connected, but I can not recharge.
Apparently it's not a physical flaw, it seems more of a logical thing, since it works normally when I finish installing Android. It seems that some internal Android process causes the defect to appear.
I've been researching for almost a month, but I do not think anything like it, has anyone ever seen this kind of defect? Would anyone know how I can solve or indicate some place where I can search for a solution?
Thank you.
