[Q] Automatically download apps to Internal SD - Samsung Infuse 4G

I just did a hard reset of my Infuse. I'm redownloading all of my apps from my Google account right now. But they're downloading to my 2gig SD card and NOT the 16 gig internal. and when i use app2sD it transfers them to the 2 gig internal phone storage instead of the 16 gig!
Is there a way to make apps automatically download to the 16 gig built in storage?
:O

This was asked and discussed yesterday. Hope this helps.:

[Q] Running out of Space 32 gig Microsd

Fist off I apologize if this has already been covered, but I have not been able to find a thread that addresses this issue. I did find in search a reference that said this was an exsisting issue with tablets but was not sure if there was a work around.
The 16 gigs internal which shows up as sdcard on my gtablet is running out of room. Lots of games that take large installs.
I have a 32 gig microsd in the slot which of course shows up as sdcard2. I have been able to use this for media and for larger roms like psx images. However, is there a way to mount the card for apps 2 sd to increase the amount of storage available. Otherwise, I am now feeling very limited by the 16 gigs. If there were a way to force the whole 16 gigs for internal and the microsd to show up as sdcard 1 then I would be golden.
Any ideas or suggestions would be appreaciated.
Thread moved to General.
Any ideas? I thought this should be in device area instead of general since it appears there is no simple fix.

Internal Storage 2GB? Why Is that?

So I managed to get a ROM going on my tab that came today, and all is pretty good so far. One question tho; I went to my settings --> SD card usage or whatever its called and my internal memory is showing 1.79GB total space.
My SD card is 16GB and that's showing up fine as 14 or whatever FREE, since I partitioned at 2048/0.
I don't get why the internal storage is 1.79. Shoudn't it be 16GB or whatever since that's how much this tablet has? I'm confused.
Thanks!
I may be wrong on this (Developers, please correct me if I am wrong) but I think the 2GB is reserved for the Android system and the remaining space is what you can use for apps, etc.

Click to collapse
if thats the case, why won't it show the remaining 14G or whatever hmmm
The 16gig is divided as 2gig for apps and 14gig for storage (/sdcard). After format and overhead you get what you see.
Sent from my Viewsonic 10" GTab...CM7 style...
So how do i mount my internal? Im only able to mount my microsd card..
Actually I take that back. I can only mount my internal storage to my computer but not my microsd card. I have no idea how to do that...
That's normal behavior for the gtablet. There is no built in method for mounting the external SD to your computer.

[Q] Not enough space to install app yet 18gb free on sd card

Not enough space to download needed files (300MB) for installed application (10MB) (tried like 4 apps same problem).
Status
SD Crad
Total 30 GB
Available 18 GB
Phone Memory
Total 5 GB
Available 196 MB
Internal Phone Storage
Available 1 GB
I don't understand why cant this data be downloaded to SD Card, app does not support it i guess.
I tried move app to SD card it works but app is just 10MB and when i start app it try to download needed files to phone memory.
Is there some way/app to force app to use SD Card for storage.
Or is there way to expand phone memory?
Or how can i know what on my phone memory taking up space i am sure i haevn't installed even up to 1gb worth of apps.
Rooted Stock Android 2.3
when you install apps it goes into the INTERNAL memory
it doesn't care how much free space is in your SD card
here's some good info http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1349648
and here's a work around to solve the problem http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1343187

Moving to Q&A
As mentioned above, its install on on-board memory. There was perhaps an app called install2sd or move2sd or something like that perhaps which you could use.
I was getting this same issue today when installing modern combat 3. I have 10gb left on my amaze 4g internal and yet not enough space for 1gb
Seems like installing Whitehawkx ROM eliminated this problem i dont even see system partition anymore in settings.
Sometimes this happens to me when I know I have space as well. I either end up trying to delete something and retrying the install, or just retrying the install and it works. Sometimes the phone is strange...but I'm sure this isn't a lot of help.
perhaps the phone doesn't support high capacity micro SD Cards therefore it does not recognise how much space the card has got
I have this problem too and i have resolved in some cases with delete market cache and restart the device or using a Market fixer App like Titanium backup that have a Market Doctor function
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks

[Q] What EXACTLY does it mean to move an app to the SD Card

OK. So I know you can "move" apps to your SD card. Let me get straight to the point. On my Epic 4G Touch, I moved an app that was about 20MB in size and had about 1.2GB of downloaded data. I "moved" the app to the SD card and saw no space change on my Ext-SD card. My apps are installed in the phone, about 2GB. The downloaded data is saved on the USB storage, about 10GB. This is still part of the internal SD card. Meaning, I have about 12GB of actually personal usage. My apps save on a 2GB partition (Not too sure if I should call it a partition) and my other data saves on a 10GB partition aka USB Storage.
I guess I'm asking when an app is moved to the SD card, what is happening? Is it moving an app to my USB storage, or my Ext.SD card? I also ask this because I moved an app that was 1.2GB in size and saw no change in my Ext.SD card space. My USB Storage did change, but it was in MB, there was no GB difference. So now I'm wondering what exactly is happening when moving apps to the SD.
Also, is moving an app to the SD the same as installing an app on the SD or should those be referred to as 2 different things? And also, when referring to the "SD card" that apps are moving to, is the SD Card the USB Storage or the internal one, or is it the Ext.SD card?
I'm asking because I'm going to start using my phone as a console via MHL. LoL!! Sadly my Nexus 7 can't do it.:crying: So I'm going to start downloading all my big games again. I want to move most of those games to my 32GB SD card Class 10. Got it on sale for $25!! :highfive:
I'm sure it being a class 10, things wouldn't falter too much. I know apps' performance hinders when being on an Ext.SD card. My only issue is it doesn't seem like apps are actually being placed on my SD card. I have Apps2SD free from Amazon. Would that do the trick?
I want to have ALL my games. LoL!!
Batman
Spiderman
GTA 3
NOVA 2 and 3
Modern Combat 3
As you can see, that's probably 10GB already. LoL!! And I'm still not done with that list. =.P
EDIT: Oh yea, forgot to say thanks for anyone helping. Just in case I forget to hit the thanks button.

moving games from internal storage to sd

hi I have a Kyocera hydro wave android version 5.1 model # C6740N 8 gig internal storage can use roughly 2.5-3.5 gig I have a 16 gig external sd card 14 gig free. I want to download and move games, apps, etc to my sd card to free up space. mostly because after my everyday app's, coc,Facebook, etc I cant even have one large 1-1.5 gig app. I've looked for answers to this for a long time. I know I can root my device, but dont own a computer and the people I know who do own one think everything anywhere is a virus so there's no explaining to them. I can move a few apps in app manager but of course its not really moving it. 50 MB app moves maybe 10MB OBO or what ever it's called remains on internal. I have seen the videos on how to download an app on the computer and somehow put it on the phone with usb, but as I said I have no access to computer if I did it looks a little complicated complicated. I am willing to pay app that will move apps to sd. I've tried these apps before but only free version. will a paid versionreally let me move the app to sd? apps like link to SD pro? And if the answer is specific to my phone that's good but the answer to this question on any android phone will work as well for future reference. thanks I appreciate your help and time.
