I’ve flashed several ICS roms, including CM9A11 from Koush and its several modified versions, and today's newly released MIUI v4.0.
I usually connect my phone to ad-hoc Wi-Fi that my laptop (which runs Ubuntu) establishes. However, I can never find that network with these ICS roms. CM7 and other 2.3 roms are fine. Is it possible? ICS does not support ad-hoc connection?
This is a known issue. Will likely be fixed when we get ota. Or some genius figures it out.

Thanks but the ota does not seem to give a solution. I still can't find my ad-hoc connection.

Please give us Adhoc tethering back.

First of all: I did not make this myself!
Found this a while ago for the DjDroid Android 2.2 Release packed together with WiFi-N Driver and some other stuff.
I just repacked this, so only the Circle-Battery is installed without the other stuff around.
All Credits to the developer (name not known)!
This should work on odexed and de-odexed ROM's afaik.
Of course, you see the amount of battery remaining in percent in the middle of the circle.
EDIT:
Sorry for the trouble at the moment. Seems like the Update forces you, to reenter the Mobile-Network APN Settings. I will try to fix this

Thanks for uploading this.
I just installed it though, and I appear to have now lost my HDSPA icon. Instead I get a picture of a phone with 5 bars underneath it?
Hi debug77,
would be helpful, if you could post a screenshot of this. Please let me know, what kind of ROM you got running, perhaps I can help you with another file fitting for your ROM

This is an iPhone 4 device. Since it uses bluetooth, it probably uses the HID profile (which you can use with any AOSP rom, but not with stock and Sense roms). You could probably get it to work for you if you used an AOSP rom (I've connected with several bluetooth keyboards including a Logitech and an Apple one using OpenDesire and Cyanogen roms in the past).
If you're not willing to take the risk (Dealextreme aren't realy the sort to provide technical details), you might go for something like this (it also uses the HID profile, so you'll still need to use an AOSP based rom).
If you're using a stock or Sense rom then your only option is the Freedom Pro keyboard, which uses the SPP bluetooth profile and comes with it's own Android driver (although for some reason, not eveyone seems to be able to get this to work).
thanks!!
this is very interesting to know.
I'm testing a lot of ROM to find the best rom for me. I think that ICS Genesis Beta9 is the one. But, i'd like to find a feature that was on MIUI : keep the possibility to receive MMS even if the DATA are desactivated. If someone can tell me if there is a way to do it.
Thanks!

Like using wifi instead or what?
More like keeping 3G open for MMS but other data can't use it (the 3G connection)

I have never seen or heard of this even when i had a MIUI rom for a couple months. Seems very innovative though i wish they did this by default!

I guess you could download a type of firewall and just block every other program from using data.
Hi. I have successfully modified wifi driver to get monitor mode up and running.
The original work is done for LG Optimus One (p500). Tested with hephappy's CyanogenMod-9.1.5 odexed.
Monitor mode: +
Injection: +
RSSI computation: broken (and i'm too lazy to ever fix it)

Special thanks to bcmon team for their work (bcm4329/bcm4330) and shoote especially for his tips (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1892535).
Great work man I'll test it when i will have my vaio back from sony! I really hope to get airodump working on my o1
This looks great!
Has anyone else tested this on Optimus One P500 with any other rom then CyanogenMod-9.1.5 odexed?
Hi
will this work with THIS ROM ?
How does one go about implementing this on his phone?
I'm rooted.
with CM 9.1.5
but I can't figure out how.
I'm thinking somewhere along a 'make' to build it.
if not, then it's a push with adb or something..
but I have no clue where any of it would go.
No Luck
I've tried this with both the recommended ROM and using the patch to build from scratch but I'm not having success. Could you provide any info on the firmware modifications?
hello there ...
i have question about JB update and lost 3G connection : is it possible to get 3G working again without RMA ?
and that's the story behind this :
after buying this device i got an automated OTA update for ICS on the first switching on. after this the system was very instable, so that some programs wouldn't install/start in the first, and android itself very often crashed at last. so i red many threads here, how to make a clean reinstallion of ICS. here where very good noob-friendly guides , so that my device runs very fine after that, only with one exception; the 3G modem. it find all providers in my area, but it won't connect to anything. the only message i got is "Cannot connect at the moment, please try again later !". at this point i decided to change to JB (after testing it with several SIM-cards), with the hope to get it working again. but that was a false conclusion; it never comes back to fully functionality. the rest of all works on opposite very good now.
edit: i've not rootet or installed any custom recovery on my tf300tg.
if its not a simcard issue (check if it works with other phones) I think that your tablet is defective, not a software issue.
Sir there is already a thread that you can discuss your problems here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1928865
Thanks and
