g2x running beats audio

i know the sensation was (or will be, rather) released running some specialized version of android with beats audio boost. is there a way to get this on the g2x? my brother rooted and installed it on his sensation and it really, really makes a difference. also, is there a better app that i could use for a similar purpose? i'm running PowerAMP but i basically hate it.
i'm really looking forward to using my beats with this. it sounded amazing on the sensation.

Search xda for DSP manager. Its an equalizer system. Its just as good as beats. Beats is essentially the same as Dolby SRS (and, personally, I think its gimmicky and cheap of HTC) . That said, I'm sure beats is gonna be using lib files and so on, and doubtful it'll work with LG. There are roms on the evo forum (my 'home's forum), with beats included, and it seems no different than DSP manager.
Jelive has a thread supporting DSP manager over in the evo themes and apps subforum, and possibly in other sections of xda.

+1. Although i've tried DSP Manager with all the other ROMS, and its seems that it is only really 100% functional with CM7.
Also the MIUI Music app also has a very nice Equalizer to amplify the sound...which works and sounds just like DSP imo.

[Q] installed cm7 - Beats by dre software?

is it possible to install beats by dre on cm7, and isnt it using adw launcher and not sense?

You can't do the beats mod since it relies on sense. And yes, CM7 comes with adw standard, and the sense launcher will not work on CM based roms.

only works on sense-based roms! I recommend SENSEay, its smooth and fast!

also, do you know if its possible to get the stock keyboard to cm7, because i personally think thats the only good one..

Not possible. Use Dsp manager or poweramp way better then the beats enhancement

[MOD][updated]DSP Manager as replacement of beats audio[Sense 4.0]now download works!

For those who don't like the beats working in their device instead of DSP Manager then you can flash the file below.
Warning you will lose beats, and the following libs will no longer function ##libbeatbas.so, ###libsrsfx.so
Note: It does not matter what kernel you use eg. bricked or anthrax as the file related only to the ROM
WHATS WORKING:
Dynamic Range compression
EXTREME BASS Settings - prepare to be blown away
Equalizer
Virtual ROOM
Requirements:
0. SENSE 4 ROM and AOSP ROMS, SENSE3.6(theres workaround just keep reading below)
1. Google Play Music - included in zips - Comptable in the HTC lockscreen player
2. DSP Manager - included in zips
3. Musicfx comes in goole music - remove this as it will override settings in DSP
4. High end Headphones with deep bass - Frequency response 6-22k khz or must be closer range fail to do so will have a worse effect ordinary headphones cannot handle extreme bass. eg sennheiser mxl60 works better in audio beats.
Now try with your originale beats headphones comes in the package and you will feel the difference.
NO EFFECT ON SENSE4 Music player
NOT COMPATIBLE ON SENSE 3.6
the audio_effects.conf will f### up the ext.jar, widget.jar, then you will wrestle with FC on HTC music, and HTC video otherwise you dont need them then you can use this, try AOSP player with shinzlon theme and remove them instead
TRICKING THE BEATS notification to appear while playing google music
played the htc music player until the beats notification appeared then closed it
and played google player then the beats notification still remains
tested on
ROM: ORDROID 2.0.5
Device: HTC sensation XE
XE beats headphones come in package
Sennheiser hd 201
If you dont like just flashed the returntobeats.zip, also if you tried to flashed this in sense3.6 or AOSP roms
Credits goes to kristofpetho for working libcyanogen.so on AOSP roms, he might retired but his legacy moves on

Yes it will work but the rest of lib like beats and srs will not work it will exclusively activate only libcyonogen.so. also i will doubt the revert to beats will be similar to that ROM just back up your audio_effects.conf in system/etc/audio_effects.conf if anything goes wrong

Can both beats and eq work together??? I think I am using them both in my old HTC desire...

I'm using first on my sensation, but they both work on my SGS2. I'm pretty sure they will both work but my personal preference is the first one.

My fault fellas, I should have mentioned what Rom I'm on. I have been using this mod on JB Roms. I'm currently on Linaro 4.1.2 JB v.17. The first version is what I'm using no need to deal with changing build prop. Just how I like it nice and simple, Flash Awesome beats than install Noozxiode from the market, I also control sound with noozxiode. Awesome beats is the first DL from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1992553. Same link from my first post but this is the first page.

Flashing the awesome beats gives better sound then just noozxoide alone, but I don't do anything with the awesome beats. Control the effects with noozxoide. Here's some ss

Does anyone else's right ear phone has no sound. After I did everything and plugged in my ear phone to test it out, all I could hear is from my left ear phone. There is no sound in the right...How do I solve this problem?

Anyone know why mods like this don't work with Poweramp? The only reason I'm still using Sense-based ROM's is because nothing works with Poweramp. I really want to make the final move over to Jelly Bean but I like the SRS, Dolby and Beats enhancements you can get for Sense ROMs.

Something to do with the way in which poweramp handles audio threads, idk much about it tbh, it never bugged me enough to investigate...
Maybe it might be worth you doing a few google searches and see if it comes up with anything

Haha I have done in the past and it mostly throws up people replying to audio mods for various devices claiming they do and do not work with Poweramp. I have found that Dolby Mobile should work on newer JB ROMs, now I just need SRS and Beats too I wouldn't mind if they worked with another player that wasnt Poweramp, but sometimes its hard to tell if you can't turn them on/off on the fly like you can with Poweramp.

I have the htc one x for at&t. I just flashed the cyanogen 10 mod yesterday and I noticed it took away the beats audio software so I downloaded the 3rd party beats applications that requires root and it just doesn't sound as good as it once did. Does anyone know how to put the original software on cyanogen 10 for this phone? or am I just imagining it's sounding different?
can someone help me out as soon as possible. I have been having a hell of a time finding any information on this.

Try jet audio player. It was posted as an apk in the themes and app section.. huge equilizer and a ton of presets. Sounds way better than beats because you can fine tune it to your style and preferences

Does it transfer to any other audio applications or is it only dedicated to that one in particular?
The reason I ask is because I really like the Zuneish layout using Uber music.

Search AC!D audio. Not trying to down talk on azn beats, but I find it better. Then again, its really personal preference.
