Hi all,
I recently flashed Endymion V3.1 after my Desire S made a miraculous recovery from a broken microphone after reflashing to stock (I am stumped on this one).
I searched this and the dev forums and couldn't find any guides related to using the OC/UV Beater2 v1.5 app included in the ROM for overclocking and undervolting.
Is there a guide/documentation somewhere that I missed?
I just found this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1363981
But there isn't a whole lot of information there.
In particular I'm wondering about undervolting.
I have been running my Desire S all day at -100mV (temp not perm) with no issues.
If I set this to permanent and experience a stability problem, how would I revert to default?
The ROM dev (lowveld) has assigned stock values.
I have UV by -50 mV (Perm) & have no issues.
In case you wish to Activate (perm) your UV , all you could do is create another profile with default Stock values.
If you face any issues (reboots , etc) , you can activate the profile with default Stock values.
Hope this helps ...

You should Try The Bricked Kernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1256668
But be Carefull and Read Step for Step how to Flash it.
And Next Time you ask Something Plz give more Informations,do you use a Stock Rom?
Mod Rom?
And do you Use a App for Controling Cpu Speed etc?
Maybe you just have the Cpu Speed Set wrong when the Screen is Off
i set cpu low ( 192 ghz) when SCreen is off.
App for controling cpu : Cpu mater / onemand.
Stock rom 2.3.4. sense 3.0 ( remove app not use)

have OC GPU but i don't want. hix . then i need app to see infomation GPU ?
Please help me ! thank
please ! help me.....
if you want features and pretty good battery life, go with the suggested bricked kernel, although it may still have bugs
if you want everything working perfectly, you control overclock, no gpu overclock (to my knowledge), practically no features, fast, excellent battery life (best if you ask me). go with stock or trinity, i suggest trinity though set them to ondemand
trinity

I've seen many threads to increase performance of android devices by using Mods and tweaks.
The question: What are this things?
Here are some examples:

For what i've seen it does some changes to your mobile, and this made me had more questions.
As it does changes on kernel and governor, and as i normally use another kernel (than the one that comes in CM 7.2) which use smartass2 governor, combined with setCPU, will it make any trouble? do you recommend me installing de tweaks/mods after or before installing a new kernel?
Can someone help me?
Any help?
recently switched from CNA to Hyperdrive ROM. installed the zues kernel. now my question is, of the govener/sysctl tweaks, how much is already preset by the custom ROM/kernel.
I want to boost the max up/down to its limit, while I know a lot of this has to do with signal strength, I hope to find a setting(s) that can help me achieve this.
any help or revelent information is greatly appreciated.

Well it varies from ROM to ROM and the kernel. If you read the Hyperdrive post it's creator tells you what is defaulted in his kernel. He even gave people the governor/scheduler combo that works best. FYI syscti tweaks have nothing to do with the kernel but the ROM itself and are already tweaked by the developer. So it is the governor and scheduler that can be tweaked. Also the kernel doesn't affect signal strength it affects how your well your hardware and software communicate.
Sysctl tweaks tweak the Dalvik VM which has nothing to do with the kernel.
Hello everybody,
I'm looking for a good kernel for an ICS rom (I'm still on stock 4.0.4).
I have been looking at [Kernel][S4 ICS][10 DEC][SENSE] Beastmode BRICKED Ville [Linaro -O3][3.0.56].
I have a few questions about that kernel:
1) does it support init.d scripts?
2) does it improve multitasking in any way? Other kernels use zRam for this purpose, but I don't understand if this kernel does that too. Has "Google Snappy Compression" (mentioned in the features) something to do with this?
3) will I need to use a 3rd party app (like kerneltuner) in order to undervolt? And will the undervolt stick when shutting down the phone?
4) will I be able to go back to the stock kernel by restoring a backup with TWRP?
Those features are implemented in Fusion kernel, although it's no longer mantained...
Thank you in advance, it's my first time studying the kernel subject, sorry for bothering.
