Digital Clock widget from Galaxy Tab force close! - Android General

I followed the steps from here to have these widgets on the home screen:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=18029320&postcount=2
to get the Galaxy Tab 10.1 weather widget and digital working on my Acer. The weather widget is ok, fully functional!
But the Digital Clock widget, which I did the same way, has a force close every time I try to put it in the desktop. It appears under "widgets" menu, but when I try to put it on the home screen, it show the "Problem loading widget" message.
What more I have to do?
Please, someone can help me to solve this?

ADW / Weather & toggle widget

anyone noticed an issue with these two? havent quite figured out who's at fault, but here's the deal...
when you're in adw and you try to add a weather/toggle widget, adw will normally ask you to confirm the widget size, well, weather widget goes right into setup never allowing you to set the size and so it never triggers the widget... vicious loop everytime you try to add, works fine with beautiful widgets... and weather n toggle used to work fine too, but there's been quite a few updates lately...
any thoughts on this?
It works fine for me. All you do is add the widget, configure all the settings in window that pops up, then press back and it will take you back to the home screen with the floating resizing window.

small odd problem with the clock app/widget

i just randomly discovered this weird problem. i remember being able to access the weather app through the clock app (either through tapping the widget or going through the drawer). when i tap the clock part of the widget and go to the desktop clock tab (first tab), i was able to tap the weather in the middle of the screen and go to the weather. but for some reason it randomly stopped working and i was only able to get around it by restarting it i believe. is this happening to anyone else? what could be causing this?
can anyone try it out please?

Time desync between system and widgets.

it's happened quite a few times now with various weather/clock widgets (Simi Clock, Beweather, Beautiful Widgets Clock Weather) that they show a different time than what Android shows in the status bar.
Just now, the BeWeather weather clock widget has gotten stuck at 18.38. I can fix this with a reboot but it's annoying and I don't want to have to keep rebooting.
Any ideas?
hey there !
it sounds like you've either supercharced your phone or check the option of "lock homescreen in memroy".
the first one is a script that you can run and makes you save the home screen as-is.
either way there's an option to disable it to stop the "supercharge" nor uncheck the option on rom settings.

Am I missing something? (TW short comings)

Compared to the note 4 there are some key things missing or I have no idea how to enable them.
Lock Screen: is there a way to show the amount of steps taken?
Alarm: is there a way for it to tell you how long you have until the alarm goes off? Is it possible to show next alarm on the lock screen, clock widget or app tray? You have to go into the app everything to confirm you set it for the right time.
Clock Widget: is it possible to make it so when you tap the clock and not the weather it opens the clock app?

[Q] Weather info on edge screen not working!

Hello, the notification edge panel where the weather is displayed used to work for me.
But after the lollipop update is just keeps saying, "Tap to add weather info." Which is weird because I have my location on and everything on to have the weather be able to show up on the edge panel.
It used to work fine, I don't know what to do?
Any ideas? Thanks!
Place your samsung weather widget on your screen, allow it to find your location and it should display the weather. After that u can delete the widget
Legend - issue now resolved.
Cheers for the advice, I was experiencing the same issue after updating to Lollipop on my Note Edge. This process did the trick :good:
Does it still follow your location automatically? I hate that it doesn't show current city and can't lower the refresh time, or have a auto refresh when swiping to the weather edge screen.
Someone needs to put a awesome weather edge panel out in the Samsung store.
