Amazon Apps installs on Skyrocket!!! - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

I don't know if anyone mention this but I noticed that if you buy apps from Amazon Appstore, most apps work with no issues even though Android Market says that it's not compatible and won't let you down load.

Which apps in particular did you test?

You maybe right. I have my density change to 200 vs 240.

good to know, when lowering the density the market doesn't let you download them

Is there a way...

To make all market apps show up? Like even the ones that are 'not compatible.' Yes i have tried chainfire but it doesnt seem to work for this device. Any info is appreciated.

What app is not showing up for you? . Because even non compatible ones would show up for me when i had my atrix. Learned the hard way changing the density made alot of apps non compatoble. But they still showd up and just said device not coompatible. But changing the density back to factory settings fixed it

RPG Grinsia is one of them.
EDIT: I did not mess with the pixel density.

I found it if u go to the website for the market . When you choose your device it actually says not available in this devices country??? Like the game is not available in the united states look here atbattached picture
And heres the web link to it. You can see the apps on the webpage ( even the incompatible ones) https://market.android.com/details?id=kemco.magitec.grinsia ( just choose browser to open the link not market)
As another example Asphalt 6 wasnt available until a couple days ago when it was updated to work with more devices. So your telling me im forced to just browse the online market to view all the apps? That way i can try to obtain success with Chainfire and experiment with more of the non compatible ones.
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
There is not much you can do but "obtain" the apk file online somewhere, or find the application on a alternative market (SlideME, Amazon App Store, etc.)
Sometimes if I turn airplane mode on, then turn on wifi it seems to not recognize as att phone and shows me all the blocked Alps.

[Solved] N.O.V.A 2 HD on infuse?

I was wondering if the gameloft Nova 2 HD isn't supported on our device? I had the game installed and it showed up in the market when I was on the Samsung Galaxy S 4G, but nothing is showing up on the market and even when I restore the backup that I made, the game force closes when I start it up. Any help/advice on this will be appreciated.

Shows up just fine in my market (running CM7). Of course I'm not spending $6.99 to confirm it works, though I imagine it would.
I had to edit my build.prop to buy this game. Then when i edited my build.prop back to stock the game did not show up in the market for me any more. I had to email gameloft and a rep sent me a link for a version of the game that will run on the infuse. You are better off to buy it off of the gameloft web site.

Yeah I just sent them an email with my phones info (model etc.). Now the build prop edit, what did you change and did the game run after download? I kinda don't wanna spend money on it again if it won't run. Thx for the help.

There might be a easier way to do this but this is how i did it. I went into the build.prop and changed all the i997s to i987. This will make the market think it's a captivate. Then i cleared my data on Google Services Framework and then rebooted the phone. It was in the market after that and it ran fine as long as i left the build.prop at i987.

K cool that IA some dedicated work. NOVA support emailed me and told me that the game is compatible with the infuse and that I have to go through their online store to get it. I'll try the store first, if that fails, then it'll be me and the build.prop later.

Same here there's no option.

And I suggest using the SetInstallLocation 2 trick, that way you can move any game you want to SD.
Can you point me as to where to find that trick?

Absolutely safe to do it, the only problem that might arise is if you move apps that need root access onto the SD, you should keep those in your internal memory.

That comment of "Works Perfectly", might be a bit of an overstatement, as the app is not entirely Xperia Play optimised.

[Q] SwitchMe Profile Manager Crashes?

I've tried using the SwitchMe app multiple times but it always crashes before I can set up a profile. Is this just an issue on the Sidekick or am I missing something?
I would think it should be compatible cause I can download it from Google play.
Thanks!

Disable google play "popular in your area"

I live in a sh*thole of a country and i dont want to see apps from local developers recommended to me on every page. How to turn that off in the new google play app?

Out of all developers here, anyone?

Only way to do it now is to use a VPN. This will fool the play store into thinking you are in another country.

Tried disabled location services.
Cleared data and cache in playstore.
Even after that it still find outs my location.
One more thing we can try is use wifi only & put the network radios in off state.
