Sense version

is Android 2.3.4 roms with sense 3.5 as good and as stable as Android 2.3.5 roms with sense 3.5?
Just that I see different bases being used and just Wondered why and what the differences were

Sense 3.5 doesn't work with Android 2.3.4, so your question is a bit redundant
But Android 2.3.5 is solid seeing as it's a test ROM

Maybe I am about to sound like an idiot. But, I am on the Thunderbolt and am running DAS BAMFs SoaB v1.03. It is from what I see, GB 2.3.4 and using Sense interface 3.5. And I am having no issues with it.
Again, maybe I am missing somethig. Any way, I just wanted to chime in here.

The only ROM with Sense 3.5 on the Sensation is Android 2.3.5

It's still in beta so it probably won't be running at 100%

It's not a beta as such but a test ROM for HTC to see how the ROM runs on the Sensation. If it was a beta it'd be a lot more buggy

Hello all!
I'm trying to understand what is the difference between 2.3.4 and 2.3.5 and if the second one is newer why developers make Roms with 2.3.4?
Second question is whether 2.3.4 works only with 3.0 sense and 2.3.5 with 3.5 sense? it's possible to combine between them?
And last one what android version and sense version came with the original sensation, the XE and the XL?

Hi,
Sense 3.0 = 2.3.4
Sense 3.5 = 2.3.5
Sense 3.5 ROMS are made from a leaked HTC version,therefore still prone to errors and not really a FINAL.
Sense 3.0 is official and therefore more stable.
The only way to truly see the difference is to try it for yourself.
Make a nandroid backup and take the plunge.
There are SOME instances of mixing Sense 3.0 and 3.5,but they are still in their infancy.

I just saw in wikipedia that there are htc devices with sense 3.5 (like sensation XL) so the 3.5 sense shouldnt be final and stable?

Hi,
Stable and final for XL,maybe,but not for our phone.
There is no port of XL on our phone.
The two are not compatible.
Different hardware .

[Q] ICS Rom with Sense 3.5?

I have been searching for an ics rom with sense 3.5 but no success. all ics roms with working download links have sense 3.6, but i like more the look of sense 3.5, and since i am more of a n00bie, i wanted to ask if there is one available. Thanks

ARHD 6.1 had Sense 3.5 IIRC.

Unfortunately it is with sense 3.6, i realized after flashing. I am looking for ics rom with sense 3.5.

Sorry about that. An earlier version must've been 3.5.

It appears all earlier versions with sense 3.5 have been updated to sense 3.6

Is the Sensation getting Official ICS Yes/No

I just got one yesterday, just a standard Sensation and i am going to send it back if it does not getting official ICS , while i can still return it.
I have searched, but all i can find is unofficial rom`s
GSMarean says it getting V4.0 ICS are they correct.

Not intially, no - why would HTC release Sense 4.0 when their new handsets aren't out yet?
There's talk of the Sensation NOT getting Sense 4.0 but only HTC know what's going on - they said the Desire HD wasn't going to get Sense 3.0 but look how that went!
I'm running ICS at the moment - officially from HTC - and it's better than 2.3 but still not a patch on the Galaxy Nexus IMO

Its coming by the end of March not at the end of March there is a huge difference you know

The sensation most probably will get a stripped sense 4 Rom.
Sense 3.6 < Stripped 4 < Sense 4

Flash an AOSP Rom or Virtuous Inquisition. Or you can also give Sense 4.0 a try
