Has anyone had problems with bluetooth in their cars? I connected my HTC Titan to my car, and it constantly connects, and then disconnects, and then reconnects, etc... and nothing plays out of the audio system. I'm thinking maybe my phone is defective
Do you have the same bluetooth versions on your phone and car too?
This caused my problems playing music via bluetooth in my car.
HTC Titan makes use of version 2.1, check whether your radio has the same version.

please check support for EDR, too!
My Trophy worked great in my Lexus and now also on my new Jeep... but when used on a friend's car (a Seat Leon) it was pure hell and pain, similar to what you are having now.

is there any sort of fm transmitter for the DHD? i have an old fm player in my car and i would want my DHD to be connected to the car's stereo through fm transmitter, any ideas?
Any FM transmitter should work. They connect to the 3.5 mm audio jack and often get their power from a cigarette lighter contact.
I want to do something similar - I was thinking of getting a Plantronics K100 bluetooth kit. It is available for about £30 here in the UK and will take streaming audio from the phone via ad2p and it has an FM transmitter to output to your car stereo. Of course, it also handles your calls as well. It just clips on the sunvisor

Also, a big advantage is that the charge port on the K100 is a micro-usb the same as the DHD so you can use the same charger
Fm Transmitter
Htc Desire doesn`t had that hardware component so there is no fm transmitting

Does anyone have any recommendations for bluetooth speaker docks? Looking to spend less than $200. If it charges, that's a bonus!
...I just don't get why you would buy a charging dock but then want it to have bluetooth.
Only stuff I found from a quick search was H/K and Bose stuff, not a shock considering what it is, they are of course incredibly overpriced and likely sound like crap.
Actually I just found this http://www.amazon.com/dp/B005HY4UPK doesn't look bad, still probably sounds lousy but it's cheap-ish.
hope you're planning on streaming anything over wifi. nexus4+wifi+bt=broken.

It's not totally broken. I usually stream stuff to my stereo via BT while connected to wifi.
Every few days BT does randomly decide to not turn on, only fix is a reboot.
I have two of these, portable & rechargeable plus a usb port for charging your device.

Didn't know they had anything like that, I like soundfreaq (I still went jambox but that was because my jambox was the same price.)
Sharper Image Bluetooth speaker!!!
Get this little speaker. You won't regret I swear.
I bought it for $20 bucks at Ross about 3 weeks ago and believe me, the sound that comes out of this little speaker is amazing.
It has a connection to plug into any electrical plug. On top of that it charges.
Not only does it play music, but it also has a call button and you can use it to talk on the phone.
I tried to put a link but I don't have enough posts yet =/
Search for it on google
"Sharper Image Freedom"

That doesn't happen to me.
I have all my music on Google Play, and I stream my music via Wifi and play it on my Bluetooth speaker
You should take it in for repair or something.
I had no issues with my Bluetooth connection to my Sony Xplod head unit with my galaxy s4. Now I have an s6 64gb it connects and plays fine but the music stops suddenly for 1 sec or more then comes back on, the music player does not go into pause it just seems to lose Bluetooth connection.
I heard something about the protocols for bluetooth on the s6 may not be compatible with the old head unit, could this be the case?
BTW I have tried clearing data/cache for bluetooth and reconnecting and it still dont work.

Sounds like the same thing I've been going through. http://http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6/help/galaxy-s6-bluetooth-stuttering-issues-t3158775
Did you ever manage a solution?
To be honest I just dumped the unit and got an upgrade. Changed to a mex bt4100 I think. Works flawlessly.

I've seen a few threads of similar problems around here. I've had similar issues, also, but never quite the same as anyone else. Here's what I get:
Phone + bluetooth car kit = 100% awesomeness
Phone + bluetooth headphones while running = 100% awesomeness
Phone + bluetooth headphones while mowing grass = jerky, stuttery mess
Yep. Only happens when I'm mowing the grass. Same headphones I wear when I run. I'm listening to audio that's on the phone, not streaming anything. The only thing I can think is that the mower is making some sort of weird EM interference.
Your lawn mower is creating lots of noise causing interference. Common problem with few solutions other than using a wired headset.
When you say noise, you mean actual audible noise? Or do you mean electromagnetic noise?
Electrical noise, static, interference...
But why would that happen with a lawnmower and not with my car, you think?

They mean Audible noise. Your headphones have any sort of noise cancelling?

Perhaps not if you have a $4k lawn mower, but I'm guessing you have a lawn mower which is not built to the same standards as a car which you ride in and where wireless communication might be something expected.
Why would you assume a wireless transmission would not be affected by a cheap electrical engine? That includes motorized leaf blowers, edgers, hedgers etc..
Just use a wired headset or get someone else to mow the lawn.

No, nothing like that.

I'm not assuming anything. Just asking. Forgive me for not being the expert in small engine electromagnetic interference that you are. But if it matters to you, it's not an electrical engine, it's an internal combustion engine.
I'm thinking about jumping back into the Android wold with the S7 but I have a question about function. Back when I used Android I couldn't use the mic when there was an Aux jack plugged in. Is that still the case with the S7? It looks like it was still the same on the S6 and it's something I use constantly when I'm in my work van to dictate text and use Siri for directions. Thanks!
I will test it out

My mic still works with a speaker plugged into the aux jack
Hi
Is it possible to stream from the phone to a car stereo via USB cable? The radio stations in Ireland are Muc and would like to be able to stream the TuneIn Radio app to the stereo in car via Usb or jack. Car stereo does not have Bluetooth so that not an option.
Is it possible and if so how or any other options
Cheers
If your car is old enough, a tape deck converter is what you want. If it doesn't have a tape deck, then you want a radio transmitter.

And beyond that, if you can modify your car, you can change out the stereo with one that has a 3.5mm audio jack. And furthermore, you can maybe splice in your own 3.5mm jack in the back of your existing stereo.
But these ideas are a bit more invasive.
