The other game thread has a nice list of games which are compatible with the Note but I was wondering which games are really suited to the Note and make best use of its hardware.
In particular which games make really good use of the 5 inch screen? Air Attack HD looks great. Board games like chess are better on the bigger screen. Great Little Wargame which is a turn-based strategy game also makes good use of the screen. Are there any others?
Secondly are there any good games which work well with the S-pen? Aside from the crayon physics game which comes installed I haven't really come across any.
I don't think I could play Airport Mania without an S-Pen now, it gave me high scores thanks to being able to quickly select elements on the game screen that fat fingers often missed!
Samurai II: Vengeance, Race of Champions and of course GTA III look absolutely stunning on that huge screen
Jenga, world of goo and where is my water. Both great looking and Spen favourable
And shadowgun is a must.
Shadowgun looks amazing

Although a few pixels are missing from bottom the game is playable, but is it normal for it to lag using maximum graphics on second map in campaign? And is it normal for me to loose to wave 7 after dominating wave 6?

yeah, the game gets pretty stressing for any chipset. factor in that the galaxy note is running at an uber resolution, and its understandable.
and wave 7 on second stage? cant remember if theres an ogre on that wave or not but is the ogre killing your towers? i generally build all my towers around the crystal on that map. it restricts it down to 3 pathways which makes splash damage towers much more useful on mobs. then when the ogre spawns, i rush it to dps it before it reaches my towers.
For me it is unplayable, at the bottom the screen is cutted.
Yeah but I still can easily play.

I know I'm am going to sound like a total snob (and I apologize ahead of time) for saying this but large red lettering doesn't make your question any more important... and hit the thanks button? I'm confused as to why I would do that under this circumstance...
Though to also answer your question... It depends on which OS environment you prefer. If you like the way the Apple App store is set up and the whole iOS experience go for the iPad. If you like Android and want to go in that direction the Galaxy Tab 7+ is fantastic for games since it does have quite a bit of oomph in the processing and graphics department right now when compared to what is currently out.
The Galaxy Tab 7 Plus is really fast in gaming.
Some heavy duty games like
Dead Space, Shadowgun or Modern Combat 3, run flawless
Casual games is not a problem.
But like this is a relative new device is a little difficult find games that are compatibles.
I believe this is a fairly capable device based on what I have seen. Any trouble from that statement would come from the dramatic difference in game library for iOS. I just purchased an android device and I was surprised to find that most of the games are console ports or console style games.
I try to keep up with gaming on my iPhone and iPad. There are so many innovative new games, interesting control schemes, and interesting ways to make touch controls fun. Its actually a little challenging to keep up. What I realized is that no matter how good the graphics are, or how portable the device, I'm not interested in playing Modern Combat 3, or Grand Theft Auto III with touch controls.
What I do enjoy are games like: Triple Town, Super Crossfire, Geodefense, Spelltower, Piyo Blocks 2, Dungeon Raid, Monsters Ate My Condo, 100 Rogues, Whale Trail, Carcassonne, Masters of Orion Civ Rev and many of the hundreds of different takes on tower defense.
These games provide multiplayer experiences via leaderboards and with asynchronous play, they offer challenges more aligned with strategy, than fast reflexes. Those are the things I enjoy about touch screen gaming.
There are great action games on touch screen platforms as well but they are games like Canabalt, Temple Run, Super Crate Box, and most of Half Brick's stuff.

Good-bye Real Racing 3, maybe? We'll see
It's downloading to my Xperia Play as we speak, check this place for updates.
UPDATE: So, the game is XPO and shows in the launcher.
I have a mixed feeling about the performance though. You can pick one of the three settings : BEST VISUALS/BEST PERFORMANCE/OPTIMAL. The game defaulted to OPTIMAL but I was shocked how bad the frame rate was, so I changed to BEST PERFORMANCE but it's still not very good. But I am on stock ROM with no overclock so... They are trying to force this horrible free to play model down you throat, always bugging you to spend that precious green currency to upgrade you car and stuff like that .
As for visuals and the 'driving feel', Real Racing 3 is still the king, even without support for XP controls.
This game is not bad, but doesn't seem so addictive that I'd be investing countless hours into it like I've been with RR3.
Also, music is horrible but that's something I've got used to with Gameloft.
I'd recommend this game only if your device can play it fluently, as mine can't.
It looks so nice
Im actually playing Real Racing 3 so i'll try that alternative
It also have low framerate on ICS rom, even on perfomance settings (on stock speed, i didn't test it with overclock).
But it's XPO, touchpads also work. Not so memory-hungry as real racing 3, so it should work on heavy ics/jb roms.

Where is the settings for graphics? I'm on GB (Gin2Kittkat) and there is nothing to set, so the framerate is terrible even with OC to 1,4GHz (my XP can't get higher cause freezing). I downloaded this game yesterday, must set controls to wheel+pedals (XP controller didn't show up) otherwise there was damn auto accel. It looks funny but unplayable on Xperia Play.
Using RAM Manager Pro at Hard Gaming somehow helps with the framerates. Running debloated Gin2JB v2.5.2, stock kernel.
Frame rate is atrocious on this game when other cars are on the screen, even on best performance.
I'll try it at 2.3ghz later when I reinstall extreme kernel! It runs smooth on max settings on my jxd so it cant be massively demanding!

Indeed. When on the lead, meaning no other cars on the screen, it runs fine. Also, lags are noticeable in areas where there are many buildings.
Dang, what's the point in making it XP controls-optimized but not ancient-chip-optimized? Oh, GL...

You can choose Best perfomance or Best graphics.. just that
I set the game on Best Perfomance on Gin2KitKat (1.2Ghz OC) and its unplayable!
Anyone know of the absolute best games suited to the note7?* Graphics wise? I don't care on the style of game action or racing or what ever*but I want to test how good the graphics are and how clear and realistic and how much detail it can have on the note7. I have tried dead trigger on my old phone and it was great but I'm after the latest best graphical game out.
Cheers
Hi, the best graphical games out at the moment are the Asphalt line of games, and Modern Combat 5, which has very high FPS.
So I was missing my Modern Combat 4 so I decided to download it to my Play again. I downloaded the latest version (1.2.2e) and to my surprise this game has been fully optimized with max graphics! I'm talking smooth gameplay and full framerate with all the lighting, smoke, debris effects, everything! Even the gunsights have the glass effect back! I couldn't believe it! Even compared to mobile games now it looks good! I'm rooted (gin2kitkat) and overclocked (doomlord kernel).
What a surprise. I just had to share it.
