Hey guys,
ok, this has been driving me crazy for a couple of days now. I had been using CoreDroid 8.1 in which the android market worked fine and I was able to bill my AT&T account for purchases on my Inspire 4G.
In the last few days, I've been trying a couple of new roms, like RunnyDroid and finally I settled for RCMix3d Runny.
I can not get the carrier billing option to work on either. I've searched and looked for every possible solution, including this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1170421 (I've tried it several times to no avail).
Any ideas on how I could get the carrier billing option to work again???

What is the latest version of the market I need to install to be able to bill from carrier?
I can't remeber exactly but it is the old green and white one that comes with stock gingerbread Rom.

I'm using the HTC Inspire rooted and using a custom ROM, I've noticed Direct Carrier Billing isn't working and just curious is there a work around to make this work?
Give it a while. It'll show up. Whenever I flash a new rom it takes a while for carrier billing to show up

this is day 4 on this ROM, but AT&T doesn't support Carrier Billing on the HTC Inspire, or Tablets... So there has to be away to get around this.
I still have the old market but on my MyTouch 4G (older phone), it has the new market...
I have the new 3.3.11 Android Market but I did not get it through an official update. I downloaded it and installed it via this thread. You have to install it via what ever custom recovery you use.
I actually got it automatically yesterday, I'm on Bulletproof

I just got it today on cm alpha 10
if your not on stock, you should have gotten it automatically. I am using RCmix v0.9 and i got it automatically too.

I've yet to receive even the previous update. I guess I'll have to do it manually. Where do I get it from?
I found the Sprint TV apk that works on the nexus but was wondering will I get charged by Sprint for using it since it isn't supported? Or does it not check the phone model but only if you are on the Sprint network?

I use one pulled from epic 4g rom. It works better for our resolution. Never had a problem.
The version I have is 1.0.4.32 but I don't know from what phone it I is would it matter what phone? I can post it here if you like.
Would you guys mind posting the ones you use on yours? How do you know which are the premium channels?

I found version 4.3.4.4-152355 here. Work over WiFi.
I installed the one that was posted but none are free is that the case for you? I think on the one I had it had some more free channels or at least that I thought were free.

I would love detailed information about how you got this to work without errors.
Note that I said "work" rather than "run". This installs without a problem and the program will run without apparent problems. The problems appear when one tries to get it to work. That is, to view content using it. This results in a "subscription unavailable" error, even when trying to view content listed as "free" (of which there is practically none available).
Were you actually able to use this version on your Nexus S to view anything, or were you just able to get it to run?

Haha I thought I was the only one! I can go days at a time with none and then one day I get 3-5. Are you on sprint as well?
Yeah I forgot to add I'm on sprint NS 4g stock rooted with stock kernel.

I recall someone posting that these are a result of the NS4G mishandling emergency alert notifications through that system the government partnered with US carriers to implement. Unfortunately, I have a GSM NS, so I didn't pay much attention to whether there was a fix.

Been getting similar messages maybe a couple a day, no number shows up. Thursday night I got 76 of these. I'm on Sprint.
Here is what mine shows:

It's just an error with Sprint's network, normally you wouldn't even see them but they show up on custom ROMs.
everything I've seen about these go back to it being an issue with the emergency broadcast system, it something to that effect. they are not rom related, & I've seen reports of them on several different phones, not just the ns4g.

its not just custom roms. 1st time the wife got them she was running stock 2.3.7, no root access, & locked bootloader

Did this happen to anyone else? I've called at&t and they said to call google so i did and they said to call AT&T. Frustrating! I've even tried wiping my phone and still that option is gone. Any ideas?

Have you flashed your phone recently? I always lose the option for a day or two when I flash a new rom.

Nope I haven't. It seems like it went missing after i updated to ICS which was not too long ago when i finally updated. Really odd...my wife has the HTC Vivid and she is running ICS and she still has that option available.

I know its working for me now. You might have to update the play store (current version is 3.9.16)
You can usually force it by clearing data and cache for the play store, or you can search xda for the apk and manually install it.

Yes i currently have this going on. I too have called att and google and they both said to call the other. I've tried a factory reset twice, cleared all google data and edited my build.prop a few times and nothing. I have also tried different versions of the play store as well. Its frustrating as hell. When i want to use carrier billing instead of a credit card i have to take my sim card out of my a2 and put it in my old infuse and it works fine. I'm going into my local att store this week sometime and getting a new sim card. Hopefully that will work but i highly doubt it.

Well that takes care of that idea. That saves me from dealing with att. I think that the problem is within the firmware but i could be wrong.

I'm having the same issue. I couldn't even tell you when it started, but it was before I upgraded to ics. I don't do the credit card thing and carrier billing is very convenient. Wonder if it's a Motorola issue...
Google wallet doesn't recognize this device. You can manage your devices from their web site and A2 will not show up at all.

Well the same thing happened on my xperia ion also..i had a samsung galaxy skyrocket and I didn't lose my option on that phone. So it worked on my skyrocket and didn't on my ion and now not on my atrix 2. My wife has the htc vivid and she still has that option.

Happened to me, after scripting from ICS 1st leak, back to GB 2.3.5, then OTA to 2.3.6. Had Titanium BU tell me my phones id number had changed and asked if I wanted the new one or the old one, selected old one, but, I don't have that option anymore for bill to phone.
