Hi everyone,
Im in the middle of a very strange situation. I downloaded latest upgrade (Thanks very much to Helmi an everyone involved in this new release... you all rock!!!).
I used that kitchen on my home PC and upgraded my apache without any inconvenient. I tried to do the same (using the very same package) on a friend's computer and got the can't load compression DLL! after choosing all the applications on the kitchen. My best guess is something wrong with his windows.
That PC had Dot Net 1.1 and I installed release 2 the kitchen started but got the same error everytime it was building the ROM.
Took .Net off completelly and reinstalled only release 2 and got the same problem.
Can you point me in the right direction to sort this problem?
Regards to all,
Tony
can not load compression DLL!...More Info
Hi,
I believe that this error is related to the desktop's Windows. When I tried to use the latest Helmi's ROM I succeded on my home PC that has a valid XP license. When I tried unsuccesfully to upgrade the Apache, I was using a non valid XP license on a machine with 2 partitions, 1 on linux and the second one on XP.
I will try to upgrade from my office using a 2 partitions machine with a valid XP license and I will post results.

@rossari0
no you cannot load programs designed for windows vista or windows xp on your ppc it is a differen operating system.
Some progams like the sims are available in a different version for your ppc. You will just need to do a search for what you are looking for. Here is a link to a freeware site to which you can download some apps for your phone (i can assure you though that diablo isn't on the list )
My apologies. It will not happen again.
oops. wrong post.
Apologies to the mods if this belongs in the Raphael section.
I'm a software developer and I'm trying to find emulator images of the OS that ships with the HTC Touch Pro/Raphael in South Africa.
One of our clients is experiencing a problem running our software on his device. An error message pops up saying that our software was designed to run on a more recent compact framework than what he has installed. The target framework for our program is CF 3.5. I talked the customer through installing CF 3.5 on his device, but the error message persists. Following exactly the same steps, I experience no problems running our software on the emulator images in the following paragraph. This leads me to believe that there might be something odd in the particular build on the client's device.
He said that he hasn't done anything to his device with regards to upgrading or modifying his device apart from what I've talked him through. The specific build number of the OS on his device is 19965.1.2.3. I've downloaded the WM6.1 (build 19202.1.0.0) and 6.1.4 (build 20757.1.4.0) images from Microsoft, but I can't replicate the client's problem.
Where can I download images for build 19965.1.2.3? Do any of you have any other ideas of what might be causing this behavior?
Thank you very much.

This DOES belong either in the Raphael section or in the Q&A section.
I will move it to the Raphael section and if you wish, post it in the Q&A section as well.

It might be worth getting them to install the .Net Configuration utility. That will tell them which versions of the Compact Framework are installed (to confirm that 3.5 is installed properly), and they can specify which applications use which version.
Cheers,
Steve
Thank you for moving this nir36. I would love to post it in the Q&A section too please. Should I do it, or will I get into trouble for posting the same request in multiple forums? If so, could you please do it for me?
Thanks for the upload Steve. I'll give it a try.
I have the following problem with my HTC Rhodium. Here is the description, I hope someone will be able to help me
- I have installed a ROM with a beta version which has just expired (I did not realized it was due to expire when I Installed it)
- I am trying to install another ROM but I cannot astablish an Activesync connection. I guess this is because the software has expired.
- So I cannot install the ROM and I cannot access the software.
Any hint?
I suggest to place your question here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=550540 or in the thread where you got your beta ROM
I recently installed the MAGLDR custom rom for the Focus and i just realized that the diagnostics tool doesn't open.
If anyone has the same problem, or knows how to fix it, please share.
There's a thread specific to the DFT Samsung ROMs in the dev&hacking sub-forum. I suggest that you read it (you'll find it searching thread subject line for "DFT"). The problem you report is well-known. I don't know if anybody has a proper fix for the underlying issue, but one option is to just install the Diagnostics app using a XAP file (since the ROM has the ability to install from XAPs built right in). There are also some custom ROMs with the app pre-installed.
