When I try to open cyanogenmod settings or the browser it just forces close. I'm running on nscollab 1.0.60 with Trinity kernel!

Try installing setcpu and seeing if that fixes it.
Just install it no need to open it.

Have you tried a fresh install? Always works ;-)

What do you mean by a fresh install?
Sent from my Nexus S using xda premium
A fresh install means wiping the dalvik cache and factory resetting the phone in recovery mode before flashing the rom. Best use titanium back up if you want to keep your apps

Like he said. Just go into recovery. And do all that and flash CM again.

Do you remember doing anything to your phone before the fcs started?

If it always has been like this, you've most likely corrupted the ROM file during download.
Download it again and install it after doing a factory reset & caches wipe.
Greetz
Thanx bro it worked!!!!

Hey all, I'm running 2.3.3 Cyanogen 7 mod and when I first installed the mod I had no market. So I re installed it and the market was in there, I have since followed one of the solutions on the samsung galaxy forum regarding different themed markets and how to set them up.
This may seem stupid however I was able to get it working previously before updating to 2.3.3, in short I tried to install zip from SD card and the market has dissapeared and no longer is installed, I tried to install it again and even downloaded the stock and tried to install it as a .apk but it just wont work. I don't want to re-install 2.3.3 if possible but can't see any other options?
I've tried searching for any other threads about this but couldn't find any which actually gave an answer, has anybody seen or had this issue before?

http://goo-inside.me/gapps/ if you can't find them, choose the CM7 version in the table at the top.
More specifically you should download this : http://goo-inside.me/gapps/gapps-gb-20110307-signed.zip and install the zip file via cwm recovery

Hey guys, thanks for those speedy responses - this is why I love the XDA forum!!
Sadly installing the Google apps didn't work either, all looked to install but after clearing the cache and fixing permissions (just to be sure) there was no market installed when I rebooted
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App
Just after flashing the rom you must reboot and in your first reboot login with your Google account.

Ah so I do have to reflash the Tom, bummer - that's what I was hoping to not have to do :-(
If its gotta be done then its gotta be done I spose, cheers for all the help.

Cod ball, reflash your rom without wiping anything, after that flash gapps and reboot.

i rooted a g2x i had with stock 2.3.3. i changed the recovery first and then added an eagalblood rom and it was always crashing and had issues with the apn settings.. please let me know
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA App
happen to me before too. i did
clear data factory reset
then reinstall the zip/rom
i think it is the cache or setting that is not clear from before. or the gapp zip
Did you try any other roms? Also what is your procedure for flashing a new rom?
@phburks i only did it with the eagalblood rom because i liked it more out of the ones i saw.. the way i flash the rom is to first change the recovery then i install the rom on the sd card and run recovery and flash it like that.

My rom is the official CM 7.2 stable. I flashed a few 3rd party kernels (Faux, Trinity etc) without making a backup first and now I wish to back to the original stock CM 7.2 kernel. Is there a simple way to do it?
I do have adb, if that works can someone give me the commands? Or a flashable zip would be beyond godly.
Thanks.
Easiest way would be to reflash CM 7.2 stable...

Yup, just wipe cache and reflash and you should keep all your settings and apps.
Hope this helped!

I always wondered why isn't there Roman default kernel in a zip flashable form floating around on the web.
It's much easier to flash a kernel than to flash the ROM.

If I have cm7 on my phone. And I flash a cm7 based rom do I have to do a full wipe?
Sent from my LG-P920 using xda app-developers app
Read the op for the ROM you are flashing. It will tell you what is recommended. You can always try to flash it without wiping and if doesn't work right, do a full wipe and flash again.

Hello, hello. I am running my SGS3 on Liquid Smooth 4.2.x
I downloaded a game today. It stalled on install, so I went to reboot my phone. I am bootlooped on the "Liquid Smooth" splash screen. What do I need to do to fix my stuff? I am hoping I can just go into TWRP and wipe cache and not have to go through the whole process of putting my rom back on. Just wanted an expert opinion before I go too crazy.
Thanks for the help.
Try wiping cache & dalvich cache in recovery. Otherwise, you might need to reflash

I had to. It would not shut down any other way. It booted up the 4th time. But the graphics get really laggy. Very goofy.
