Locked bootloader but S-ON?
Dude this makes no sense, The radio controls the Security key on the Sensation, but then again you can have S-On on the radio and S-off on the bootloader. If you're bootloader says S-ON, there's NO WAY in hell you could have flashed recovery. It's protected, if that was the case then HTC wouldn't even bother locking the bootloaders in the first place, and we wouldn't have to wait 2 months for a bootloader unlock to flash a custom recovery and roms.
You had the rom installed on the phone before S-ON came on and You'll still have root access but it's useless as it's only readonly now.

proove it. take a picture of it with a camera.

I will when I find a camara x3

Go on Alphrev keep up the good work.
Unfortunately it was a private test by IEF n me, so its still not available to the public yet, but I think that will change pretty soon.
But at least you know now that it will be supported soon.
Looked promising
Just rooted and flashed cwm, installed busy box, just backing up current ROM then going to flash a few different ROMs
Great to know that it works on the DS!
Nice one.. gope it will be available soon... I mean soon.....

I got goosebumps when I saw the image... Excited much!
Fine!
But will it be reversible? (to restore the warranty when required)
PS: from the FAQ at http://alpharev.nl/ :
"Will my phone stay S-OFF forever? --
Yes and no. As soon as you decide to flash a stock RUU that has a HBOOT update in it, this hacked HBOOT will be overwritten.
You do have the option to remove the HBOOT update from the rom.zip inside the RUU. Since your phone no longer checks signatures, you could easily do that.
Also, you then still have the option to flash custom recovery, or different kernels using the fastboot functions described above (fastboot flash, et al)."
good work guys
Nice one.. Gud to hear that DS can be S-off.

HBOOT is downgrade protected. You will be required to flash a 'downgrader hboot'
(to be released at a later time), and RUU, which will make it stock S-ON.

Wait, does this mean we could s-off our device without using the xtc-clip? & When will it be released? Another stupid question please, is it a software or hardware like the xtc? Sorry for that I'm still a noob although I'm great in computing.

Selling Phone

Have to sell phone due to some unfortunate financial circumstances, but was wondering what I need to do exactly to restore it back to stock.
Atm, it's rooted/S-Off and flashed with the InsertCoin 2.2.1 Rom and i'm in the process of restoring the nandroid backup (stock). I also wiped data/factory reset the phone as well as formatted /system from CWM.
Is there anything else i should do? Should i format the SDCard? Return to S-ON ? remove root? (not sure how to remove root only and keep S-Off)
Thanks for any help.
I think running the RUU would be the best thing to do

After installing the RUU for T-Mobile, should i also remove root/return to S-ON? Don't want the customer coming to me about warranty claims.

Some people said that RUU gives you back S-ON, and some said it doesn't. You have to try it. Otherwise I don't know of any other way to get S-ON. Maybe someone else can help.

remove tampered** flag

Is there a way to remove the tampered flag? I unlocked my bootloader via htcdev. Will relocking and unrooting do the trick?
You need to unroot
Sent from my One X using xda premium
yes, unroot, that should do the trick with getting rid of the "tampered" sign. but your bootloader will say "re-locked," or something to that matter when relocking. Unfortunately there's no workaround for that as far as I know. Once it's unlocked, it will always either say unlocked or re-locked instead of just "locked"... just a heads up.
So my warranty is void no matter what?
Sent from my HTC One X using xda
Yep.
Beamed from my KingCobra1X powered HOXL
Well I guess I'll have to 'lose' this one
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
Warranty MAY be void. Sheesh. Lock the boot loader, send it in for repair or whatever you need to do for your carrier. Unlocking the bootloader doesn't automatically void the warranty.
The first page on htc dev after you click on unlock bootloader says
It is our responsibility to caution you that not all claims resulting or caused by or from the unlocking of the bootloader may be covered under warranty

98.5 of the people at att or whatever carrier store won't try to boot your phone into boot loader the second they touch it. They usually just chalk it up as screwed and order a new one. If they do happen to check or HTC doesn't cover it for some reason, then you back at square one and can consider it a loss. Won't hurt to try bro

Agreed, it wouldn't hurt to try. But if you want to go extreme, I've seen cases where people will completely brick their phone to the point where the bootloader could not accessed. So the people at at&t will deem it as a broken phone and order you a new one. unethical if you ask me, but phone carrier stores are even more unethical imo so its worth a try

It seems easy to get to that state. Just flash one of the Tegra ROMs on the Evita and you are done. There are several threads here of people who have bricked their phones this way.
You probably shouldn't purposefully try to brick your phone...
