I got the game 'Spirit HD' off of the market for 10ยข today. When I'm in the middle of playing the game, the whole game will freeze and I have to back out and kill the game before I can come back and play it. Is anyone else experiencing this? The developer told me that someone reported the same problem as I did, but said the game works perfectly fine on the Sensation's stock software. Is anyone else experiencing this?
Nope, I've been playing that game from stock, to insertcoin, to pyramid3d neon thingie majig, to ARHD, to MIUI, to CM7 and now ICS.
Never experienced this.
Works great for me with CM7, sense 3.0, and sense 3.5.

Well the dev told me to try an adb logcat next time it happened to see what process was causing it to freeze, so I guess I will be doing that.

So just got spotify premium and its awesome! I seriously recommend it, I was hooked after the free trial.
One issue tho... the app on our phones seems pretty unstable. For example it crashes whenever you star a track or add a track to a playlist.
I thought this was odd, so emailed spotify support; they replied saying our device wasn't officially supported! What a joke... its a flagship device thats been out for almost a year!
Is there anyone who has a stable spotify, and what ROM are you using?

I've been using Spotify since I got my sensation last summer. Never had a problem on various roms except the first ics builds.
I don't think it's related to the device.

I used specify for the six months I had my sensation and never had issues running many of the available roms. I got rid of it prior to ics roms so I cannot comment on the compatibility there.
ran Spotify on Virtuous Inquisition and I had random lockups, and it would never actually let me use offline mode properly.
Haven't tried yet on HyperNonSense ICS 0.4....
I'm on HTC's stock software and Spotify works beautifully for me. No issues whatsoever.
Hi I'm currently using ARHD 6.5.5 on a sensation XE.
There comes a time when My Music Player has sound/audio but when I go to Video player/Internet Browser/Apps , audio seems muted and when I put the Media volume to Max, still no sound. my only solution is to restart but after a while the issue repeats. don't know what triggers this. Anyone experienced this?

Yep, i've had the same thing happen.
Fixed it with a reboot. Dunno what caused it either.
Try fixing permissions. If it keeps happening after that just reflash the ROM
Got this issue also. But i experienced this while using youtube. Sadly i stopped using arhd because of this. First time using it got a bug like this, really saddened me. Went back to hypernonsense 1.5. No issues at all. No sense also though

Same problem here, the wife uses Instagram on my phone and it kills it pretty much every time.

Regularly freezes my phone, particularly during the application of tilt-shift and/or when clicking on the top right hand side arrow to process pic and upload. Really annoying. E-mailed them as well, hoping for a fix. In the meantime, no one cracked this yet?

this problem rekated with apk, not phone. i'm using xe with arhd without sny instagram problem but i tried same apk on desire, ideos x5 and galaxy ace, and noticed errors. if the program wants to work, it work like a charm. if it doesnt want to, you have nothing to do.
generally iphone port apps doesnt work stable.

Since the most recent update it seems to be much more stable.
And by much more stable I mean being able to process and upload a picture without a hard reboot
I've found that if I reboot BEFORE I use instagram, it works perfectly. If I do NOT reboot it freezes. I've learned to work around this issue by rebooting BEFORE use. Then it works perfectly for me. My current Rom Beats by Grogg 3.0 v.B. but I think the reboots will work with ANY Rom. Give it a try. It solved my freezing issue, perhaps it will also solve your issue hope this helps! Good luck

WTF is going on with Instagram
Ever since I upgraded to the new TMOUS 2.10 now 3.0.0 Instagram freezes on me and I have to take the cover off the back of my phone and reboot it every time now. Seriously though. what's going on?

There had been confirmed issues with some specific drivers and some specific apps (skype and istagram eg.), you can take a look in this thead for the drivers you might want try.
For those with Instagram problems, those drivers should fix it :

They should work no problem with every ROM, clearing cache is also a good thing to do.
what do those drivers do exactly ? And I noticed this is for an adreno 200 but the sensation has adreno 220 ?

I have the same problem. Dont know whats causing it other than rockstar havent programed somthing correctly.

Same issue, att HOX. I thought it was beats audio at first, but even when you turn it off, the crackling remains.
You're not alone, I get the same with Max Payne, with GTA3, occasionally with Osmos HD... Some games are fine, others aren't.
I was having the same issue when I got the ICS update to my HTC EVO 3D. I contacted Rockstar and this is what they are telling me:
"I was talking to some people here in the office and they said that we have had previous problems with sound on the Ice Cream Sandwhich with GTA III Mobile. It looks like as of now there isn't a direct fix. You may want to revert back to your previous OS to fix the issue.
I'm really sorry for the inconvenience"
So yeah. Its all about the game and I dont think an update is coming for this issue. Not right now at least...

Yeah. I have this problem and it's really annoying. Only seems to happen when playing quality sound games like GTA. Doesn't happen in scramble free.
I called HTC support and they said it's because their speakers are too small.

No its not beacuse of HTC, its because of Rockstar and their programming. I was playing without any issues when I was running Andoird 2.3.4, but when OTA ICS update came, the crackling started. Its not becuase of the speakers, its all about the game.
I never tried GTA3 after the update, but it was fine for me when I was on 2.3.4, didnt had any issues, it was running without any issues just like Max Payne.
I'm happy to confirm that this issue stopped for me after installing the stock Asia 2.23 ROM. :good:
I never had that issue on my HOX, but I have on my TouchPad. It appears to happen for no rhyme or reason.

On my galaxy nexus 4.1.1 aokp build 1 it's have bad fps,no lag but cars very slow,need update.
EDIT:I rebooted phone,now is better.

yeah. i played it on my XE too. its not perfect, but its good. just sometimes the accelerometer stops working or something else. the car's steer freezes and it goes at a direction for some seconds and then it comes back to normal. i don't know that it is my phone's problem or the game's.

Hi, i played it on my phone and is very good, i use sebastian kernel at 1566mhz gov. performance and deadline, no problem with the accelerometer, very smooth, some times the game stop, but maybe because isn't original.
I play it on my friends S2 and games is perfect..Now im downloading for my Sensation and i will report here ^^

I have played through the entire game on my Sensation. At first I was hesitant to purchase it because I didn't know if it would run at all. To my surprise it ran reasonably well even on the stock Sense image I was using at the time. However, after playing through it a little there was obvious lag, stutters and just hiccups that would come at inopportune times and cause you to lose the race. I then switched launchers to Nova while still retaining the stock Sense ROM. Things got better, much better actually, but still not good enough. Then I rooted and went to cm9.1 stable + Nova and things were almost perfect! I played through the rest of the game, actually pretty much the whole game, with cm9.1 + stable and there were only a few occasions where framerates degraded or hiccups/stutters messed up the gameplay. I thought what I was seeing was pretty much the best the sensation could do. That was until I recently upgraded to Albinoman's CM10.1 Kang. With that ROM NFS-MW is now running practically perfect. I think the key difference here is the amount of free RAM. With CM10.1 I have significantly more free RAM and can hold open 2 or 3 times more apps than with CM9.1. The Sensation is severely lacking in the RAM department and NFS-MW is a very memory-demanding game. The lighter the OS load, the more RAM is available to the game, the less swapping occurs and the ultimately the more fluid the game plays. Hope that helps.

if you are running sense, use faux kernel 10b9 or 10b8 overclock it to 1.7 then use intellidemand as governor.
