Did anybody notice their 4g LTE come on in Raleigh for about 15 minutes thhis afternoon, then go back off??
No clue. I'll be in Raleigh next weekend, be cool to check out 4g if it's running then. I'm in Fayetteville, we're supposed to get it summertime

I didn't see it but I was at work in zebulon not at home in the afternoon. That'd be awesome if they bring it up in the next couple weeks. Very exciting to hear.
I was in the Verizon store yesterday and they said Raliegh will be getting it next then here in Greensboro in June or July !!!
3G here in Raleigh this morning, but interested!
No LTE today, but around the same time as yesterday I had major data drops
I got 4G for about an hour in North Raleigh 3 weeks ago. Didn't see any last night, but I wasn't on my phone too much *shrug*

I have been getting 4g lte in all day today in Raleigh over by Brier Creek. Also in Durham on hwy 70 between I-85 all the way to Brier Creek. It is fast...the fastest I got was 21.5 down and 5 up here is pic to prove it.
Any 4G today in Raleigh/Durham?
Thanks

Not today so I guess it was testing...but I am thinking we should have it by the end of the May.
I just read the article in the news&observer paper this morning...
Verizon will activate its high-speed LTE wireless network in the Fayetteville-Lumberton area on Thursday. The technology has demonstrated speeds up to 10times faster than the company's current 3G network
So hopefully Raleigh isn't too far behind!!!!
Thanks
I saw the tweet too...hoping that Raleigh is going to get it...we were on the original list...kinda crappy that this "technology hotbed" is behind lumberton and wilmington
Just a note to Raleigh folks, turn your 4G radio on. I've got solid LTE signal in zebulon!
ok, looks like I lied. Walked outside and the 4G LTE icon popped up. Guess it's too weak for me to get inside at my office in Garner. Only 1.5-2Mbps down so I'm guessing they're still fine tuning things.
LTE in Durham and Chapel hill
I noticed it on yeasterday for about 15 minutes then it went off.
Ya, went back off after half hour.
Didn't see raleigh on the list for June that came out today...what's up Verizon??

Where is that list???

Last billing cycle I decided to test T-Mobile to see if they will throttle my speed once I reached 5GB. Two days before the billing cycle ended, I passed the 5GB mark and T-Mobile indeed throttled it at exactly 5GB.
When the new billing cycle started I noticed something different.
My constant download speed has always been 2 - 3 Mbps. But when I run I test now my constant download speed is 6 - 7 Mbps.
Somehow the throttling woke up the 4G I guess
Has this happened to anyone else?
(no change on rom, sim card, plan, location, nor way of holding the phone )
Maybe your area has just received the improved 4G network roll out, OKC got that roll out a few weeks ago and I have been seeing 6 or 7Mbps ever since then.
Is anyone going to try this???

Call tmobile and confirm they have your correct IMEI number setup this has been an issue with the G2X and well boost signal strength

My speeds was horrible to begin with I averaged 350kbps on 3g I got throttled lastnight now an getting 45kbps.
And whats crazy is my upload speeds averaged from 800kbps to 1mbps
I'm going to call today

Tmo has two networks they call 4g. One is their 3g network just rebranded and another its legitimately faster. You probably switched networks, there's no indication of when you do so.

Can we start one? Just info people are hearing about LTE coming to their area.
I'll start by adding that I am in a HSPA+ area Danbury, Connecticut. I get anywhere from 3-6 mbps download speed. The mayor on his twitter account said AT&T is testing in the area, and that it will be here sooner rather than later. When I went to FCC Spectrum Dashboard, I found that AT&T has two 700Mhz towers registered for Bridgeport, Danbury, and Stamford.

I'd love to see if AT&T has a planned roadmap or something. All I know is full rollout by 2013. Verizon got LTE into my area (Fresno, CA) in the middle of June. That's about 3-4 months after the Thunderbolt came out. If AT&T followed that, it would be coming soon, but I've heard nothing.
I get 3 to 5 with 3g in Melissa, TX. 16mbps with HSPA+. When I go into the city it's 26 to 56mbps.
We are not just north of Dallas. We are Melissa, TX.

I have never gotten more than 16-18 in Los Angeles or Phoenix.
Living in Minnesota, a Non LTE area for AT&T I hadn't experienced it on my Skyrocket . However I had to travel to KC for the weekend and put the SR through a string of tests. All I can say is HOLY HELL, LTE is amazing. Here is a screen capture of many of the tests.
I have isolated one of the tests, if accurate is unbelievable. I tested in Northern KC to Downtown to out in the suburbs like Independence.
Any info on lte in central Arkansas? More specifically Conway? I've heard rumors..

I live in Corning, about 5 hours west of NYC. Get ATT '4G' HSPA... not HSPA+.
Get about 5MB down and 1.2MB up on a good day.. normally it's like 2.5 down and 1 up though. Can't wait until I get to go to NYC and test out the LTE there.
The fact that ATT has just started rolling out LTE means that when you DO get a signal, it will be extremely nice as not a lot of people are utilizing it yet. Also, you'll get LTE in areas that don't officially have it yet (as they're in the middle of rolling out the network) which is always a nice surprise.
I was in Queens few weeks ago and got to try LTE. I got between 23-30Mbps with 3 bars. Can't wait for Connecticut to get LTE.
I was at my moms work, just waiting for her to get her check, and randomly did a speedtest.
64 down, 23 up.
I'll post a SS later, since I'm at school using the computers, and don't have my cable on me.
I'm in Houston and average around 18 Mbps down/10Mbps up. Highest I've seen here was 35 Mbps at the airport. LTE coverage is pretty good all over the metropolitan area, and HSPA+ speeds are usually around 8 Mbps where LTE isn't available.

^^^ THIS. I got ridiculously fast speeds here in Orlando as well. Faster then my broadband cable modem at home. lol .. Not sure if it's because the network itself is super fast, or there just aren't that many people using LTE here yet...Probably a little of both.
only getting around 3 d 1u here in boulder,co, but im moving to hawaii in 6months so hopefully they'll be increasing speeds there
I've hit as high as 60 down here in the SF bay area.

25 down in midtown Los Angeles
sadly 2 weeks into my new contract, received the dreaded throttle txt msg from att
San Diego was turned on not long ago... My short tests are pulling down 25+mbps. No complaints here.
Let's see the speed and location?

I have only gotten 20mbps on a good day, still good, but not THAT good.

when i first got my TB and LTE phones where not everywhere i got 42 mb down and like 10 up. now it is more in the range of 12-18 down and 6 up.
The best I've gotten is 8 down and 8 up, but I'm in a huge market where just about everyone has LTE on their phone.
Arent the radios inside the TBolt designed to get at most 12mbit up down and the speed test app was flawed when the tbolt first came out, causing inaccurate results?
I don't think the radio limits anything but if guys are using the speed test app you won't see much speed cause that app is very inaccurate. I always do regular browser tests like you would on a computer. The results are usually a lot higher and more consistent.

The best I have seen is about 6mbs down. I just ran a test and I got a whopping 2mbs down.
I got 26 dpwn, 8 up in houston, 16 down 5 up in tulsa, 12 down and 4 up in wichita. Its very new to wichita, but still better than the 1.5 down max i got on my dinc

I've gotten as high as 32 mbps download here in NYC, but lately I don't see much above 15 mbps.

Fort Wayne, IN here! I used to live in Elkhart a few years ago. Best speeds I've gotten is about 10mbps down, although I haven't had my TB for too long to do lots of speed tests.
Best I've ever gotten was 37Mb/s down, can't recall upload. I use http://speakeasy.net/speedtest/ and the location for the best speed varies almost daily.
The best I've ever got was the day after the TBolt was released. I got 25 mbps down and 30 mbps up. Now that more people use LTE the speeds arent as impressive. last test i did i got recently was 11.05 down and 4.83 up. In Rochester NY
From a couple of days i am getting lower speeds and not only me.So my thinking is maybe t mobile put as on 21mbits temporarily until light up the LTE.All widgets and apps alwis show 21mbits even when i was getting 28.Now the max i can get is 10.This is in san fransisco region.Thank you.
Same in Texas. Used to get 30 now most I pull is 14. Had a dude at T-Mobile tell s me he barely gets 3 on his galaxy note 2..my g1 used to get those speeds

I've seen people adjusting their build.prop values, and say they can get 42, I think it was in one of the viper forums
Simply use an app like Network Signal Info when downloading. It'll show you the actual speed then.
