did you try a different battery, it seems that it cant handle the high current drain for the LED (they are much brighter in photo than in video mode). It could be a faulty battery. I remember something similar when I had a Wildfire.

Did you check if there were any updates? I had the same issue. I check to see if there were any updates. I had two updates. Afterwards the problem was fixed.

If your rooted and on a sense 3.5 rom, try a custom kernel. Ex: Bricked or Faux123's kernel. It removes that cap.

Go into settings and turn off power saver and that should fix that. I had the same problem and I have discovered when you have power saver turned on it won't let you use the camera when the battery is @ 30% and no you don't need to be rooted to do this It's just a matter of going into settings and untick power saver however rooting the HTC sensation 4 is strongly recommended and flashing a ROM along with really good kernel you will increase your performance and battery will last longer

I have rooted and flashed ARHD 3.6.2.
I have disabled Power Saver mode in settings.
The phone still prevents me from using flash below a certain battery threshold (seems to be around ~30%).

GPS problem

Hey all I new here
I have a HTC sensation it broke twice so has been sent of for repair loads
Iv recently ft it back with the GPS not working it comes up with the flashing
GPS icon in notification bar but doesn't lock.
So I decided to root it and install fash Rom to se if it could fix the problem
But sadly hasnt.
I realy can't be bothered to send it away again because they are crap at repairs
U always get it back with something else broken lol.
Is there a place were I can buy a GPS receiver and replace mine?
Hope to here what you guys think.

It's not a hardware issue. Download GPS status from the market and clear the GPS cache. Should fix your problem.
Thanks for the advise mate. I tryd GPS status still no lock on any satellite.

Is that worth doing whether your GPS is actually working or not? As it seems to imply it'll see more satellites...

For the most part it should work. Usually whenever gps shows sats but doesn't lock it mostly has to do with kernels, ril/radio combos, and the version of superuser one is on.
I had an issue where the gps would not lock at all, but after a lot of troubleshooting, I ran into those issues. I just flash whatever rom I want, make sure the ril and radio combo works. Do not mess with the kernels for now and test for gps. If it doesn't work, try crypted's fix.
Thanks guys ill that. If it doesn't work can I jus flash a diiferent kernel and dif version of superuser if so what would you put on a HTC sensation on o2?

Just a fyi, I have always had problems with faux kernels and running gps. Is that kernel the bundled into the rom? Is there a more 'stock' kernel you can try?
Also use file explorer/astro to the system/etc folder. Make sure you just delete the suplrootcert. It's not needed to run gps at all. Totally optional file the gps.conf file uses, but I delete it anyways.
yea it was a bundle i think there was a stock rom. what rom and kernels are good for sensation.

Shut down the phone and take the battery out for 30 seconds. Put it back in and then turn the phone back on. That fixed the problem for me, and it also worked for a number of other people. It might work for you, although there is only one way to find out!

Yea.. I did 3 things with system..
1. installed transfer.apk and moved it to system using titanium backup.
3. installed Google books and moved it to system
3. Edited default.xml for Boot sound.
That's problem mate. Revert back to normal if you want to move anything to system then flash via recovery. For boot sound use other apps like romtoolbox to change. If you edit xml that means you messed up that apks.

Camera unable to start

Hello guys, my sensation is like 18 months old and several months ago the camera just stopped working. When I try to open it there is a message that says "unable to start camera".
I'm sure that it's not a software problem, I switched roms, wiped everything, restored, anything. Another weird thing is that every once in a while the camera works for few minutes or more, and then the problem returns. I'm considering buying a new camera from eBay and install it myself but I'm not sure it'll solve it & I'm afraid to ruin the device. Any help please?

Hi,
I have same problem. I did system format and the camera worked for a while. But now even if i do system format, camera doesn't work. I also think it is a software problem. Sometimes camera comes back even when i clean dalvik cache.
When i first noticed camera is not working, i had 4.0.3 android. This is when mobile network didn't work, i restarted phone and network worked, but this was when camera did not start first time.
I have CM 10.2 albinoman887, base band 11.76A.3504.00P_11.24A.3504.31_M

why? ruu contains all kernel that controls camera? if yes, what if later i want up to date rom like CM 10.2 rom which will overwrite kernel? actually, i flashed stock rom once and for my biggest surprise camera still didn't work there.
Sometimes camera still come back if i do a dalvik cache wipe and reboot and something, i've never could remake these steps to identify the cause.
do you think i should still flash official ruu? or firmware difference makes any difference? i.e 3.33.401.53 or 3.32.401.5 for HTC sensation.

firmware has nothing to do at all
besides you have the latest version
also the only difference between 3.32 and 3.33 is radio upgrade
if you are on S-OFF and supercid you can use any ruu.exe
otherwise use the one which corresponds to your region(same firmware or higher) and cid
then we will see if it is software issue or not
