Okay new ROMS now comes with the newly released Market. One method of reverting back to OLD market was to Uninstall Update in the Manage Applicaton section, but now even though I do it, it still stays on the new Market. How can I revert it back to old market?
I find the New Market is really laggy, random closes, and errors.
ROM: CoreDroid 7.1
Kernel: LeeDroid 3.2.0 BFS
Device: Inspire 4G
If I'm not mistaken the market updates itself when you open it so there is a good chance even if you find a way to downgrade to the old one it will just upgrade you again anyway.

Pull the vending.apk from a Rom with the old market and push it to system/app if your using root explorer u will probably have to set permissions. Easy peasy. Then everytime it updates itself just do the undo update in manage applications
edit: here ya go you may be able just to click on it and install it like any other app but if that dont work just drop it in system/app, change permissions to rw-r-r and reboot

I've installed Cm7 on my Infuse. There's an application called 'MA Mobile' I would love to install but when I search it in the Market, nothing is showing up. Is it possible for someone to extract the apk and force install it into my Infuse so I can earn cashback everyone I shop? Other suggestions and recommendations would be great!

Possibly your market wasnt updated yet. Do a apk search on google.

I did and there isn't one.

Were you able to install the app on your infuse before flashing CM7?
Yes, my previous room was DoctorzRom and I was able to locate it on the market and install it but not after installing cm7

I figure why not and downgrade to the classic android market, don't care for Google play much. So how would I downgrade to a very early version like that and prevent it from re-updating back to Google play?

Well, you could find an apk somewhere for an older version (extract from a rom, for example) and delete/freeze market updater apk.
This is a good idea

[APK] Old Market v2.3.6
What coccolino_dbro said. Here's the apk for old Market v2.3.6. Got it from BlackICE ROM for HTC DHD.
Thank you, so I would freeze market updater with nobloat and then install this apk which would replace the current one?

I disabled the market updater with nobloat, that should hold right?

Does it work then?
Well I disabled it with nobloat, but after a reboot the icon changed and it upgraded to the version where the shopping bag android icon changed a little. So I tried freezing it, after a reboot it was back to Google play.

Do I need to delete the play store before installing the new market one?
Sent from my SGH-T679 using xda premium
I deleted the old one, installed the new one, and it won't stop crashing.

Guys, my phone's market is really screwed up, someone please help.

Try deleting MarketUpdater.apk and the Google Play apk through a root file browser. I think Google play apk is called Phonesky.apk and not Vending.apk. Anyway delete both those files from your /system/app folder and then move the old market apk to the folder. Set permissions to rw--r--r (same as all the other apps in the folder) and reboot. Should work now. Copy the MarketUpdater.apk to your SD card before deleting, just in case.

Looks like its working now, thank you.

Thanks guys, Google play just looked ugly and like something that wasn't even part of android.

Well everything is good now, thanks for all your help everybody
Does anybody know the file permissions of the market updater.apk?

Is there a way to get rid of it without it keep force closing? Because it's something I don't need and it takes up ram
Sent from my SGH-T959V using XDA
You can use titanium backup to remove it or flash a custom ROM that it's already removed from.

Or just delete the apk in system/app
I used root explorer and deleted it from system/app like lumin30 just suggested.
Delete wificalling from /system/app/ and reboot.
If you want you can also remove libkineto.so

Are you trying to remove it or just shut it off? Two different methods
Sent from my SGH-T959V using XDA
You need to launch recovery and run the Aroma File Manager. Then go to \system\app and delete wificalling.apk.
Quit and reboot system.
No FCs, all good
