INSTRUCTIONS:
- First time flashing Light'ning ROM V5.0 to your Sidekick 4G (or coming from another ROM)?
1) Root your device and install ClockworkMod Recovery.
2) Reboot into Recovery using 3-button-combo
3) Do a Nandroid backup before procedding
4) WIPE (wipe data/factory reset + wipe cache partition)
5) Install the ROM from /SDCARD using ClockworkMod Recovery

No, but I know how to read init.d and build props to see if you just changed the roms name... from kj2 to lrv5, there are other ways to tell aswell, images that aren't there etc........... don't want to risk using my phone at work to wait for it to download a themed "nexus" rom.......
And before you go all out bashing, consider that pretty fonts and images you add to your thread don't always show up on the xda app. Step off your high horse and stop being an ass.

Don't act smart in my thread , i said my bad . It's not just a gingerbread launcher & framework . If you look at the feature's i fused both ROMS together , i fused init.d's , speed , and and it's the smallest rom ever with everything functional .

I'm not acting smart, just thinking logically, and I do apologize, just defending myself.
I understand , enjoy the ROM if you take time to flash it V2 was really big and i got over +500 download's on it as i could remember , now V5 is much better and responsive . I created V2 when i was a beginner at doing all of this now i learned more and put the knowledge i know into V5 .

If your flashing this ROM , let me know how it is . I have quiet a few download's already , respond for those of you using it or downloading it & comment how it is .
Just a small suggestion. I wouldnt call it gingerbread at all if it isnt android 2.3
It has 2.2.1 in the title for a reason , i'm keeping it that name because now it's a 95% clone , all i'm missing is the gingerbread icon's for application's which will be in next update . I added everything else & used a nexus s dump .

Download ROM and place it on your SD card
Boot your phone in recovery mode (vol down + vol up + power + trackpad)
Select Mounts & Storage , make sure it look's like this
unmount /cache
mount /data
mount /sdcard
mount /sd-ext
unmount /system
Select "choose zip from sdcard"
after flashing process is complete, reboot the device

I assume since this a stock kernel, I will need to mount the system even in red /Voodoo CWM?
Heavy , I got a few PM's saying if you go from Red CWM to Orange and flash a ROM you'll soft brick , so odin to KG2 re root and reCWM then flash this rom for 100% success

Just disable voodoo for the control app or the recovery.. then you will be fine..

Okay, just flashed this after an ODIN. I'll report on how it runs tomorrow after I re-install all my apps and re-calibrate the battery. I really hope that it is as fast as you make it out to be, I would love the SideKick look with the ASOP speed.

NOTE : any hboot that supports CM7 will support this ROM
First , you'll need to go through the S-OFF process (Radio S-OFF recommended)

Because it is full S-OFF , always full S-OFF is better than any other S-OFF

Its a mod to make dhd roms to be compatible with htc inspire 4g. It installs inspire files: audio, GPS location, and more...
Most roms in dhd forum has a multidevice patch.

What is MIUI ?
MIUI (pronounced "Me You I", a play on the common abbreviation of the words user interface as UI), developed by Xiaomi Tech, is an aftermarket firmware for cell phones based on the open-source Android operating system. [DEV][WIP][PORT][ROM][ICS][4.0.3][IML74K] HTC Sense 4.0A Build #2 {10/11/2012}
I think it's clean, understanding what's going in that particular topic, it's developing, it's work in progress, its port of some rom running on ics version 4.0.3, and latest version of rom was uploaded and ready for download at 10/11/2012.

Fixed super user..about phone somehow.. now USB mass storage is still left to fix. It is detected but notification doesn't come down .

Its not the first time I am uploading a ROM. I am working on the ROM as we speak.

Laggy lockscreen. Fix
Hope you see it if not then it isn't my problem.
To fix it you need to resize framework and any apk of lockscreen IF THERE.
If you don't know how to do so i will do it just upload here.
Is there any headphone bug of not being detected?
bro there is no .apk file of a lockscreen
there are .mtz and default lockscreen is in default.mtz in system/media/theme
and im sure its not resizing problem because if u apply any other theme it works just fine..

Then resizing framework only is needed
All other themes are fine because they are mdpi compatible.
I saw it too many times that resizing framework fix laggy lockscreen so it will work if not then your hardly 5mins will get wasted but without trying you can't say that it won't work

I got a logic i guess those images are big thats why our phones processor takes time to make it mdpi and fit it to our device's screen to work if we resize it then it will take less time and lags will be fixed :fingers-crossed:

umm no ..im sure of that ..i made a lockscreen for miui and i used a lockscreen wallpaper of 480 x 854 reso and its objects were also of same reso ..and it runs verryyyy smooth

And another question, is the kernel included a 3.0.8 kernel? I saw it on a i9000 thread and im a bit confused.
Edit: downloaded and flashed,but surprise!! The kernel included is QWERTY kernel no Fishears LVM kernel.

More stable faster smoother can be easily tweaked for speed and gaming and your cm10.1 by rodero95 is yet buggy and Bluetooth isn't yet working

When I try the media fire link it just says authorize download and on clicking that nothing happens...the fix link for theme as well doesn't load for me... can you please upload the files on another share ..

after flashing rom my first impression
1- feeling really smooth and more responsive,
2- missing file manager which its first app i opened after flashing
3- quick search box in home screen isn't working because its removed from system
4- theme isn't applied
but i really liked it and its my daily rom from now

If init.d scripts:
Go to system/etc/init.d and copy all things from there and paste it on a folder on you sd card an ur done !

i dont think as easy as that to take out the tweaks
and i found nothing in init.d folder
How about the screen flickering ? anyone can report about this ? if this thing it's fixed, Cyanogen got enough stable for me, i don't really care about the bluetooth and the camera, Thanks in Advance
