No problem bro. Glad you got it working. Now that your rooted. You should deffffinately do a nandroid backup in cwm. So if anything goes wrong you can just restore it.

I sure did. I wish this app was setup like the web page its kind of hard to find info BC I'm looking for some roms for 2.3.6 BC most are specific right?

Im not much of a fan of the app either. Evertime im on here. Im on the website on my phone. Download dolphin browser hd. And go to he xda website. Works just like browsing on a computer, and you can download all your roms or any other files with your skyrocket

But if you open the first page of each rom it should say if its 2.3.5 or 2.3.6

Personally i recomend red sonja rom. Found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1368742. Its my favorite, and no issues.

Unless you unzip and look around in the rom No you wouldnt know. What makes you say this

I just been reading about the growing number of trojans in Android and got to thinking that as I flash quite a lot of Roms I wouldn't have a clue.
I assume that if I unzipped a bad Rom windows wouldn't recognise it as a trojan/ virus.
If i remember correctly, lowveld said if he wanted to, he could put something nasty in his ROM. He said that when some dude questioned about the security of his ROM. Cmiiw
It's all about trusting the devs guys and always flash a custom ROM from xda forum if you found that you like.

Download Backup Here (Thanks to danomat1073 for getting me back to stock first)
Push the extracted backup to /mnt/shell/emulated/clockworkmod/backup

I have root and will be happy to backup and send you a copy. I'm guessing that I need to unlock my bootloader and install a custom recovery first. I cant seem to locate information on unlocking the bootloader and where to get the correct CWM for this tablet. If you point me in the right direction I'll hook you up ?

There is some minor graphical weirdness with the screen looking slightly shifted, but everything worked for me when I tested it. If you need anything else let me know.

Ok, it's done. I can see its filled up my storage, but I can't find the files. In the past they would be backed up in the CWM folder, but I can't locate them. Any ideas?

Look in /mnt/shell/emulated/clockworkmod. Very odd place so I understand the confusion, I've never seen that before.

Nothing to test, cwm works and its a backup. I'll see if I can pull images and make a stock zip like I did for AOSP. So that if it's ever needed again it will be easier.
Also check earlier in the thread for the location that cwm backs up to. For some reason it isn't the standard location.

so whats the exact command I need to put into adb to push the backup onto the device. I copied it manually but it doesnt show up in CWM...lol

I get it to push everything via adb but it still shows "install untrusted" in cwm, and it fails everytime, i've tried everything! It's driving me bonkers...i've even pushes the zip/unzipped folder to the same location via rom toolbox pro, and still a no go. it doesnt show up in recovery also

After about 3,000 restarts and tons of BS here and there I FINALLY figured it out. It just randombly decided to shownup in the cwm recovery...got it loaded and im posting this on the new rom! Thanks guys...seriously..?i missed stock. And I feel as If this actuallly works faster? Lmao

If you are speaking to me, respectfully, no, I did not see a rooted form for g. Again, it's weird timing... Pm me for the img from my H81010g, just need to run that command in adb

Just fallow these instructions exactly. Don't lock your bootloader until you are fully stock.
