[Q] Stuck during OTA update after XTC Clip unlock - HTC Desire S

I S-OFFed my Desire S using XTC Clip because it was SIM locked and that was the only way to unlock it. Later I rooted stock 1.47 using superoneclick and installed clockwork recovery using ROM manager. 15 minutes ago I started OTA update, and now it is stuck on android robot with exclamation triangle.
What should I do? Wait? Plug USB? Hard reser using keys? I dont want to pull out the battery risking fried eMMC... Please help ASAP

Geeez, I wonnnder why. *insert sarcastic face*
You were on a rooted ROM. Do you really think HTC like us having rooted phones? .. I'll let that answer your question above.
As for fixing it, flash S-OFF hboot through fastboot, flash recovery through fastboot, flash a ROM through recovery.
Seeing as you must have bad eyesight I'll give you a link to the Q&A forum. Desire S Q&A

Click to collapse
That means the bootloader is NOT unlocked, you just have a custom rom, or you rooted the device.
some of craziest stuff happen this morning, I took all my cards and started my phone lock pad still there, So i put all my cards back in ( Sd card and micro mini) everything and restarted the phone in BOOM that damn lock pad was gone. I restarted a couple times to make sure and yes it was gone. So this hopes it helps

Efs help for a noob

*Disclaimer: I'm new to xda and this is my first post*
About 3 days ago I attempted to update my SGH-T959V to 4.2.2 straight from froyo 2.2.1. Lesson learned. I bricked my phone but with the help of this thread, but as one can see, it recovers into GB 2.3.6. I think that may have been my problem because doing so, I lost my efs. I tried looking up how to get the efs back or at least get a new one (of course there's no back up), but the only way to do it requires me to have root access.
Okay, I tried rooting using superoneclick; stuck on step #5.

Next was the zurgerush and this happened
So now I can't even root to get the efs. I'm guessing I would need to flash back to stock froyo 2.2.1 but my guess isn't as good as lass than half of anyone on here.
Can a brotha get some help?
Please and thank you!:good:
You can one-click yourself to a rooted stock gingerbread rom
Follow the instructions here:

the root issue can only be solved by either doing what pisher stated, or by simply flashing a kernel such as one of these

GSM issue. Can't connect

After downgrade, root and S-OFF my Desire S can't connect to any mobile network. I think I broken CID, becouse I had done all changes without GoldCard. Do you have any idea how can I fix it? Or bring my old software back at least? Plz help.
Don't think it can be anything to do with not using a goldcard, if that was an issue, downgrading wouldn't have worked.
Which rom have you installed? Did you wipe all partitions (apart from sd card)? Have you tried any different roms to see if that makes a difference? Are you using GSM or UMTS?
It's possible that upgrading your radio might solve the problem, as you will have an old radio (from the downgrade process), but be careful! If something goes wrong flashing the radio it could brick your phone.
I was trying almost all radios from this site: http://cmw.cmfs.me/saga/radio/. One of them made my phone was vibratig every few seconds so I flashed original one. I have installed RUU_Saga_HTC_Europe_1.28.401.1_Radio_20.28b.30.0805U_38.03.02.11_M_release_177977_signed to downgrade hboot and after that CM11 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2467013). I'm using GSM (in my area there is not UMTS).

ADB Sideload not working for me

Despite all the good posts on here I have been unable to get my phone out of a boot loop, and am now quite desperate for help please!
If anyone can point me in the direction of a rom or kernel that will definitively work on my phone I will be eternally grateful
It was ok until I decided to unlock bootloader and root it.
Unlock bootloader went well, as did flashing TWRP and also CWM – I have a suspicion that it was rooting with OneClickRoot caused the problem.
After over a day of failure I discovered how to do ADB Sideload at this thread: I used CM11 I got from this thread: and also tried a Stock one from here:
sadly nothing worked, and I'm now afraid of filling my phone storage with large files. I have added some screen shots of my failed attempts with TWRP & CWM
they both fail, and TWRP does warn me not to reboot as I have no OS installed, but I had to keep on trying.
Another weird thing is that I cannot always reboot to recovery from the Hboot screen and have to re-flash a recovery image each time.
