I have always this Problem. I have tried with "Force Large Boot.img" but i don't helps -.-! Somebody can help my please? On my Sensation runs InsertCoin v5.1.4 and i want to install/flash EggyEnergy v1.3 for rom1 at Boot Manager.

Do you think the reason was the new Frimware(Hboot)?
You musst look in the Rom.ZIP and Check that there is an Boot.img ... I had the Same Problem because the Rom was for two devices and there was an Kernel folder with two Boot.img for Sensation and EVO 3D. Try to install opensensation this Rom works

I have the same problem with opensensation like the eggyenergy Rom!
Error: can't create new boot.img -.-
Then deinstall bootmanager and install it again.. or maybe your sd card has Not enough space. my phone Rom is the original htc ics with root and it works great on it.

Mh...5gb Space (16gb class 10) and ICS with Sense from Baadnwz (PhoneRom). Rom1 i want to install a ICS AOKP, but he can't create a boot.img -.-

Here's the fix:
1) Have Bootmanager installed.
2) Reboot into recovery and backup your current ROM.
3) In recovery, wipe your phone.
4) Install the ROM you want to have in boot manager.
5) Boot it once.
6) Reboot in recovery and backup your installed ROM again.
7) Restore your previous ROM using recovery
8) Boot into your ROM and load Boot Manager
9) Find an empty slot, click Manage Slot and click "Restore Nandroid"
10) Pick the ROM you backed up before from /clockworkmod/Backups
Done
It's a PITA, but it's the only way i could install ROM's such as the new Sense 4 ports.

Disable SU logging
I used to have the same problem until i disabled su logging in the phone's rom.

Unfortunately it still didn't work with Virtuos S4X Rom
stuck at white HTC logo on boot

I still get the error, but it says it edited the boot.img > cleaning up > error = wtf??
seems i am missing /data/local/tmp/edit.sh, but it is there in the folder.
any ideas?
looking at the permissions, it seems edit.sh isn't set to exec.
Edit: fix is set install to internal.

How do I set install to internal? I'm having same problem on my HTC Chacha..
I've applied CF-ROOT , CWM
I have DEODEXED my stock rom with baseband I9003XXKPM

afterwards , everything gone well , nothing missing or getting any error
But then I tried to flash this theme of the KPM version :

after flashing I boot up my device and come to the lock screen
but everything like framework , status bar getting FORCE CLOSES !!!!
Would anyone can tell me what's wrong with it ??? How can I fix it

Yes you need to wipe cache and dalvik cache from CWM
(Dalvik cache can be wiped from the advanced menu in CWM)
And no you will not lose any data so no need for backup..
Just be sure you dont factory reset by mistake

so i download the 'update_18' and put it under my ext sd
4 : power off my device , pull out the battery for 5s and put it back
5 : holding volume up , home button and get my device into CWM
6 : wipe cache
7 : wipe dalvik cache from the advanced menu
8 ： choose install zip from sd card and flash the zip
9 ： choose power off
10： power it up again wait until i see the lock screen
11 ： when i try to unlock it , it seems laggy and i got a series of force closes warning like tw launcher etc
ps : i changed a few icon before by using rom manager's icon changer
ALSO before flashing cf-root , i ve used super one click to root my device around december, and i did not unroot it before flashing cf

Did you clear the cache and dalvik cahce after installing the theme or not??
If not try to wipe your cache and dalvik cache right now(no need to install the theme again)
i wipe them only before flashing the zip
is that mean i need to wipe twice for before and after flashing the zip?

Not sure why it's happening
And if you wanna install a custom rom then first upgrade to xxkpq also pls tell me your requirements,as in if you want all the features to work or if you are willing to sacrifice camera and wifi tethering and stuff
And also backup using rom manager is diff from titanium backup.
The rom manager backup is a backup of the whole phone in case flashing goes wrong on the other hand titanium backup is used for backing up apps and the apps data data

.you dure deodex your rom? See in system framework use file explorer. If the odex still there i think you must try deodex once again..try cf root ganes and deodex in cwm..its more easy to do.
Try fix permission in cwm, it can help on fc.

Check in System/Apps (not in framework )
If you have got two types of file i.e. *.odex and *.apk then you are not deodexed
If you have only *.apk then you are deodexed.
To upgrade to xxkpq just download xxkpq from the development section and follow the guide(also given in development section)

Hi. I'm sort of still a newb to android stuff. This tablet is my 2nd android and I managed to get CM9 on here, after installing some weird recovery through goo manager (other methods of getting Clockwork weren't working for me) I liked the stock from a lot better however, and I would like to switch back. Unfortunately I don't have a backup. I've done a search and haven't found anything. Could someone help me out with this seemingly easy problem?

extract the zip one time. You have another zip than. Place it on your internal sd.
Go to recovery (must be CWM) and flash the zip:
install zip than choose zip, than find the zip on your sd. than scroll down the no´s till you see a yes and choose this option.
If you dont have CWM recovery installed, take a look here and follow the video guide for fastboot to install CWM again.

You should go to asus webpage and download the latest firmware that is for your model. Go to settings on your device and at the latest tab see what version of firmware you have. You are looking for US or WW or another. Then go to asus site at download section and download the correct update that suits u. Unzip it once at the main catalog of the tf300 storage and reboot your machine to recovery (turn off and then turn on by pushing volume down and power until u see some message at the top of the screen. Then release the 2 buttons and push volume down and you will be at recovery menu. There choose wipe data/ factory reset and wipe dalvik cache and choose install zip, choose the zip that u previously unzip to your device and confirm to install it. When it is done after about 3 minutes reboot and u are at the latest stock firmware.

Yes you need cwm. For some reason team win recovery won't flash the stock firmware. It's nice and continues to get updates but they don't have our device. It will eventually get ironed out but for now cwm is needed to return to stock. At least that's how it is on my device and some others here on xda.

DONT USE THE US ONE! Ireland and UK tabs are WW, download the .29 from link at the top,
1.extract it
2.copy extracted .zip to your tablet
3. Factory wipe/reset (do this 3 times)
4. wipe cache
5. wipe dalvik
6. click install from zip
7. navigate to where you have the .zip file stored
8. click the file then navigate down to yes.
9. let the file install
10. wipe cache again
11. wipe dalvik again
12. it will take a few minutes to boot so dont freak out (I did wasnt fun trust me)
13. TADA your now back on stock

Ive already downloaded the gapps so I can access my gmail, and other app's Help Help Help Help Help........
1. Place the gapp.zip file on the root of the SD card.
2. reboot
3. While the device is reboot press the Volume Rockers a few times to boot into the ClockworkMod Recovery.
4. Once the device boots into the ClockworkMod Recovery, use the side Volume Rocker to move around. Use the Power or Camera button to select.
5. Select Install zip from sdcard.
6. Select Choose zip from sdcard.
7. Select the gapp.zip.

You can get a flashlight app from playstore.
Apart from that, you can make one urself, just use a white background and set brightness to full, thats it!
Make sure you backup your contacts or messages if you need them later (i know you will, who doesn't )
First you need to root your device, go to this link to do so: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1415223
then Download your desired Sense 4 rom, its your choice. It will be a zip file.
Place it in your sd-card. It should not be in any folder (i.e. it should be in sdcard's root directory)
Note: the following steps may vary with the Sense 4 rom u are using. These instructions are for the Sense 5 EX rom.
Using the recovery when you rooted (press VolumeDown + Power Key while booting the phone)
Wipe Data/Factory Reset,
Wipe Cache Partition,
Advanced > Wipe Dalvik Cache
Then go to install zip from SD card, choose the downloaded zip. Let it take its own time to install. Once done, restart phone and let the rom take time to start itself.
Viola! its done
