[Tutorial] Make your own custom rom
​Hay guys i made a easy interactive video on how to make your own custom rom..
Here some of you do not know how to make one, this one is for them
The video is 100% complete!
So please do not start hate speech here..We are here to share knowledge/work than just picking on each other.
And also special thanks to Dark Lestat for everything.

Simple Steps:-
Flash the rom you want as base(Stock JPM,JPF etc..)
Deodex the rom(optional)
Root your phone
Apply live wallpaper Mod(optional)
Remove un nessasory apps(optional)
Add custom theme(replace the framework n tw framework)
When done Type this command in adb
Code:
adb shell
su
mount -o remount,rw /dev/block/stl9 /system
dd if=/dev/block/stl6 of=/sdcard/factoryfs.rfs
And wait for 10 min(max)
**MAKE SURE YOU HAVE SD CARD INSIDE BEFORE TYPING THE COMMAND ABOVE**
Then go to sd card and there must be a new file called factoryfs.rfs
Now copy the factoryfs.rfs file from sd to PC.
Now open the .tar file of the base rom which you flashed before,using Total Commander.
Replace the factoryfs.rfs from the base to the one which you just made in sd.
Then close Total Commander and flash your custom made rom using odin.
If any failure then start form step 1 again! And this time stick to the procedure.

i can show how but not completely show how to port the whole theme because there are many pngs to resize and its not possible to finish them all in one video...
But as i said i can show how to compare and resize, well thats if you'll want

i did not just do it for xda but my YouTube channel also and would you do it as i did? videos ways?

dont need to get sad dude, you can still make another one...
Explain it your way(maybe better than what i did)
And there is nothing like reserved thread idea or something like that ?
You could have at least reserved a thread for it..
Anyway there is no one stopping you on xda,dont get upset you can still do it if you want
and about making video guides i make them even before i joined xda..no point there but just telling

[Q] [HELP] I install a wrong ROM and now can't boot

I install Darky Base ROM JVU over my GT-i9003 and now I have a big problem... Can't boot phone, can't enter into downloading mode or recovery :S The phone is totally dead. Can someone tell me something that can i do ? Thanks.

You have a big problem there buddy, I've read about this somewhere recently and they said that they will need to replace the board(motherboard?). As the other users suggested you can try jtag, or just send it to Samsung

They wont replace the motherboard.
They will just do a FULL-SOFTWARE restore!

CyanogenMod 7.2.0 RC 6.1 Thread deleted??

Hi,
I just noticed that "CyanogenMod 7.2.0 RC 6.1" ROM Thread is not found in the Development section. Is it deleted? If yes, why?
and also, could someone please give access to all the links in that thread?
Would really like to see the next version of that ROM. Sadly, the thread itself is invisible all of a sudden.

It must be because of the trolls here that made the dev mad..then again, we lost a worthy dev..AGAIN..all we have left are sire prat, maclaw, vish(if he's still around), raj, sonud, and feras..this guys shook this thread..it was once a peaceful and troll free thread..until wanna be's came and annoyed them.. sighh....

Nops, I don't think... CyanMobile is the edited version of the thread. There where are the earlier Version of ROM's?
And as far as I remember, RC 6.0 was released somewhere around 25th April, while the CyanMobile one is last edited on 8th April.
That thread is missing.

Yeah that is true bro... !! But every one posted in his thread that the rom released by him was the same as that of cyanmobile ... !! Only rom name was changed...

You people haven't been here long enough...
So here is the stuff that I know...
First, squadzone develops rom (cm 7.2) and other things for mini, and gives fit users their first (and still used) oc kernel...
Fit users request him to develop more for fit, but he couldn't since he didn't own the device...
But the devices were so damn similar, that we could easily port mini's stuff...
And when squad had released cm7.2 for mini, we only had vishwanathptl's cm7.1...
So people started porting squad's work...
We got (ported) rc 1, 2, 3, 4 (ported by different people)...all ported as and when they were released...
But squad wasn't happy that we port his roms...
Then ankkdroid ported rc 5.x (all the later releases), to which squad objected publicly...but they settled the matter privately...
But after long growing requests, and seeing how similar the devices are, and to stop further ports once and for all, he agreed to develop for fit also, and hence released cyanmobile initial a (for both mini and fit)...but he got fed up from some people (or whatever his reason was), mod-locked all his threads, and left xda...
The next update of cyanmobile (I.e. revo a) didn't come on xda, and maybe it won't ever...
I stopped following ankkdroid's thread when it was around the release of rc 5.6 (I assume), and couldn't flashed any of his work hence...so I don't really know whether rc6.x is an edited version of cyanmobile...
I cannot pass judgement, nor do I have the authority to do it...
And even you can't...
Phew this was long...anyways, this is what I know so far...but it may not be complete...
Hope this clears some air, and let this topic rest for once and forever...

First of all tell me how much time did it take for you to type these stuffs.. ??
When 7.2.0 released everyone posted in his thread that it was cyanmobile .. so he removed the download link and then posted that "if someone wants his rom then PM him and he will give link for it as he became bit angry with the offence created by other members" (i remember this stuff)

Developed rom huh? Maybe more like a borrowed then skinned ROM. Or a ported one. I double dare you. Amaze the CRAP out of me. If ever you amaze me by your ROM, you've earned it.

i have many people in my life to amaze lolzz...
and btw if u think porting is so easy then why dont u port one rather than posting non sense in the thread ..

I have tested both of the roms cyanmobile initial A and cyanogen 7.2 rc 6.1...and both of them were almost similar except for there were some changes in the ui of the settings menu in the rc 6.1(correct me if i am wrong)...i found bugs in the notification dropdown of both the roms so i could not continue with any of them.

Whats the issue with Inspire OS 4.4.4

Just want to know whats the issue with this rom looks pretty cool to me..No FC at all been ruuning it the whole day..I like the transparent status bar..
If any one wants the zip fille just PM me..I was able to download the file with no problem..

here you go, it appears that the developer has personal issues with xda, and is banned from here. his rom is banned from here as well. for the reason why hes banned, its not for you to know, its personal, and between him and xda http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=54002368&postcount=42
