Open up file manager. Go to /system/app. Delete from there.
Can't do that, error restriction ...

What file explorer are you using? I suggest downloading es file explorer from the market. Once app is downloaded, open it up. Go to settings, scroll down to root settings. Check both boxes. You should be ok now.
Root explorer worked fine on mine.
Or just use Titanium Backup to uninstall app
Thank you all
It's ok, I remove app
thanks !

Try using the File Manager app and find the download, press and hold the 'HTML' file and rename the ending to 'APK'. Should work.
Hope it helps, I had the same problem.

i need an file manager app that will work with ICS, i've tried a couple of different ones no luck
androxplorer, es file manager, astro, etc. are some.
and the system applications are in system->app
UPDATE: I was able to install the .apk by copying it to /system/app/ no fuss no muss. Once there it was ready to run without as much as a reboot required. Thanks to baseballfanz for the solution.
I am running gnufabio's Revolver 4.0.3 RC3 and downloaded the removed apps zip. I am trying to install the AsusReader.apk (MyLibrary), when I used my TF101 stock I liked this app for PDF viewing much better than Polaris Office.
When I try and install it says installation failed, do I need to flash this via recovery (a la gapps)?
(I would have posted this in the ROM thread, but I don't have a high enough post count to post in there yet.)
I've never run into this error otherwise, try flashing via cwm, I think that's what was intended being a 'system' app.
If there's a cwm flashable file try that, if not try manually moving it to system/app instead of installing it like a regular apk
Did you find a solution for this? I really liked the MyLibrary app, I have tried installing as a zip, manually putting in the zip folder etc. There seems to be a few of the Asus apps that won't install. Alternatively does anyone know of a good app that organises PDFs in a similar way to MyLibrary?
I haven't tried flashing via cwm yet, I need to get to my laptop so I can yank the stuff I don't want out of the zip.

[edit]I just thought about what baseballfanz said and decided to give that a try. I used Root Explorer and moved the apk to /system/app and it was in my app list, no reboot needed.[/edit]
I tried moving the apk into the app folder but it didnt work. Are you using the apk from the revolver main post?
Yes, extract the apk and use a file explorer with root access. I used Root Explorer, find the extracted apk and long press on it select copy or move. Then navigate to /system/app and then touch paste.

I tried the exact same thing about 10 times and eventually it worked by renaming the APK to MyLibrary.apk. Very odd!
It's definitely the best app for displaying groups of PDF in a library view that I've found
Thanks for your help
Glad you got it all sorted MrMuz.
I just went and double checked mine and it is still AsusReader.apk
AsusReader on Lenco TAB-9701
Hello MacFett,
I have tried to install the AsusReader.apk as both AsusReader.apk and MyLibrary.apk in the system/app folder, but it does not seem to work.
The icon shows up but when I tap it I get a message that the application has stopped (after 2-5 seconds). I'm using a Lenco TAB-9701 tablet.
Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? I really like this app (I've used it on other tablets) and would very much like to get it working.
Furthermore, does anyone have information on how to root the 9701?
Thanks in advance for your help.
It maybe that it is fc'ing because these Asus stock apps for the transformer.

I would like to replace the stock File Manager with another app like File Manager HD or Astro, or may be Root Explorer etc so that when I click on the External Storage Icon, it is the File Manager HD loaded up instead of File Manager. How can I do it?
I tried to disable File Manager from the Settings and the External Storage Icon does nothing when I click on it. I was expecting it will ask which app I would like to use.

Could be a bad idea, if you don't agree it with other settings, dalvik-cache etc.

I've done it before, but yes, those settings can make it difficult to work

Hi there. I try to install Asus Mynet app on another tablet (Nexus 7) but copying .apk and .odex files did not do the job. Is there another way to install? Thank you.
Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF700T
It's possible that it only works on ASUS firmware. As each stock ROM is different from device to device.
Also, It could be that asus uses some sort of app framework. If they do, then you probably need to install it.

You won't be able to copy the .odex file to the nexus 7 as the frameworks are different. You need to use the DEODEX version of mynet and copy that.
Either find a version of the ASUS Apps or download CROMI from my sig and extract it from there.

You can't install it like a normal apk as it will be signedprotected (?) differently.
You can insert it into your systm/app folder and change the permissions to the same as other system apps using root explorer or es file explorer - it might work that way. Remember to reboot after.

Nope, tried that and it still doesn't work. BTW - the permissions were already the same as other apps.
Thanks for the idea though...
