i think i just bricked my phone because when i try to power on it,it stucks on a blank screen. My question is that if i do a factory reset with cwm, will the phone go back to normal?
If you can get into cwm recovery, you should try to flash a new ROM first, or restore a backup.

Hi!
I rooted my Galaxy S3.
Using this method: http://galaxys3root.com/galaxy-s3-root/how-to-root-galaxy-s3/
It all went fine, but then i wanted to try using other ROM's, but i wanted to make a backup first, however i cannot find the backup button in the ClockWorkRecovery..
it only shows whipe data, clear cache and such but no back up OR Restore.
I also tried RE rooting it but no luck.
What do i do here?
Can i install ROM Manager Premium and flash recovery from there even though i installed this cwm? ( http://galaxys3root.com/galaxy-s3-root/how-to-root-galaxy-s3/)
Please help me out!
One does not simply install custom ROMS without Backing Up First!
Thank you very much!

Before flashing ur backup do a clean install by doing the factory reset and clear dalvik and cache.
If u get it going you should consider updating your clockwork mod recovery.
Also I would just flash a new ROM or reflash the ROM u were on that caused the boot loop.
Then make a backup of that before your try doing the font change
Good luck
Vs Nexus S4G using tapatalk2

Try doing the following :
1. Flash an ICS Stock from first from Sammobile.( Through Odin)
2. Probably it will get you in a bootloop again.
3. Within this bootloop go into stock 3e recovery & flash CWM.(Through Odin)
4. Go into CWM & Wipe Data, Cache & Dalvick.
5. Reboot.

Try installing a custom rom, use Philz Recovery http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2202714 & before installing the rom use the option " Wipe Data/Factory Reset-------- Clean to install new Rom, then install your custom rom

I tried this and it did not work for me. To rewind a bit, i was drinking last night and decided to root my note 10.1 n8013.
Now it says "Samsung" and that is all it does. I am hoping that there is a way to get it working again. I tried to install a "factory" kernel and it failed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a friend who has the Skyrocket.
He is rooted and has TWRP installed, but he is still running the stock rom and kernel.
Today his phone randomly rebooted and now it is stuck on the samsung logo. We have been able to take out the battery and boot into TWRP no problem.
We do have a backup from a while back and he is also considering trying a new rom at this point, but we'd like to be able to get this to boot.
Anyone have any ideas on how to get this thing to boot? What could have caused this?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
If the backup is a nandroid backup made in twrp restore that in twrp

We do have a twrp backup and can restore it, but we're hoping to find something that will fix the boot issue.
Do you think it could possible fix the problem if we flashed a new kernel and then tried to boot? Can't hurt, right?

You could try the kernel our you could also try wiping just cache and dalvik. I assume you're trying to save the data.

We aren't trying to save the data. We already have a backup. We're trying to get this thing to boot without flashing a new rom or reverting to a backup.

When I rebooted, it boot back to recovery. I wipe cache, do factory reset, flash stock ROM with Odin and still the phone always boot into stock recovery.
I don't know what to do to bring the phone back to life.
