Reinstall your USB and Google/SDK drivers.
I reinstall but not work
i tought there is software on your computer competing with Odin for the serial ports.
Make sure Kies (including Kies Tray Agent) is turned off. or maybe Sony Ericsson PC Companion (or any other mobile phone software for that matter)
Reboot and open Odin as an administrator and try again.
Good luck.

O.K. Nice.
Hi,
I have a Samsung Note P3100. I am running 4.1.1 android. The problem is that I cant install CWM recovery to my Samsung Galaxy Tab:
I use this instructions to flash CWM through ODIN:
III. Installing CWM Recovery on Galaxy Tab 2 7.0
1. First of all, close Kies software on your PC.
2. Reboot your Galaxy Tab 2 into the download mode. You can do so by pressing and holding both Volume DOWN and Power keys together.
3. Press the Volume UP key to enter into the download mode.
4. Launch the Odin Tool on your PC by double-clicking on Odin3 v1.85.exe file.
5. Connect your tablet to your PC using the USB cable.
6. From the Odin Tool, choose PDA and then select the recovery.tar.md5 file you downloaded earlier. You will have following screen:
[ Select "PDA" option ]
7. Click on the Start button to begin flashing recovery. Your tablet will reboot when the flashing is done
Everything Goes well, I see success in ODIN. But when I goto recovery by using Volume UP and Power keys simultaneously. It shows me the Stock recovery instead of CWM Recovery. And I am not being able to root my tab either. I used superoneclick, Heimdall but to no effect. Cant root it. The Heimdall says this:
Initialising connection...
Detecting device...
ERROR: Failed to access device. libusb error: -12
What does this error mean?
Can somebody help me in this?
Thanks in Advance!

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1880010
then get P3100_CWM_RECOVERY-6.0.1.3_SUPERSU-0.96_BUSYBOX-1.20.2.tar.md5.zip
i use odin3 v3.06 to flash it in and CWM is finally working! so try it! :victory:
Try in odin to flash file again ,then uncheck autoreboot in its optiona ,then go to recovery manually by volume up+power ,if question appear as fix recovery say yes, done

Here's my problem:
I have a Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9000M that keeps rebooting after trying to install a custom recovery so that I can root it.
What I did
I followed the steps (1 to 11), of Installing a custom recovery on Galaxy S mentioned in the following page:
wiki,cyanogenmod,org/w/Install_CM_for_galaxysmtd
After that, I simply unplugged the usb, there were no errors, and removed the battery and now what I get is the simply that my device reboots after the boot logo. IF I hold down volume + home + power I can boot in download mode. However, I cannot boot in recovery or in normal mode !
Here's a video of what it is doing youtube,com/watch?v=Wie9eZYyECw
What I have tried
Removing the battery and reboot the cellphone
I tried to redo step 7, heimdall flash --kernel zImage --no-reboot, but I still got the same error

Ok ok. I have two questions for that, first, do you know where I can find the stock rom. And secondly, can I do that via download mode since it is the only thing I can access ?

I can't find it. Can you tell me more specific? Because i'm already use the USB JIG, when i plug it, the samsung logo was appear with yellow triangle below it. What i suppose to do?
If u have usb jig,the phone should have automatically booted to download mode! Try this- plug usb jig>hold volume down+home+power button(if it doesnt work try holding volume up button) If it doesnt solve, please take it a good repair shop
SM-J410f after combination without user data and cache problem won't boot and cannot boot in recovery mode or download mode
please help me :crying::crying::crying:
have you already solved your problem?
post it here!
if not:
try to connect your phone first to PC with USB cable & then press vol up + vol down + power button at the same time.
reflash full 4 files repair firmware with odin!
tick reset flash time in Odin!
download Odin & firmware from a source you trust!
(I once had unapparently downloaded a malware Odin, in my case it just refused to work the second time I wanted to flash with it.
could be that the security in my pc did a good job.
but maybe smth like that can do more damage)
