TV OUT - LG Optimus 3D

i have not tv which has HDMI port so i want to know that is there any way that i connect my tv with my lg optimus 3d .please give me solution . i have nokia n8 tv cable can i use nokia n8 cable to use to connect the lg optimus 3d with TV

Took me a good 5-10 mins to read but I reckon a new Tv with hdmi is in order.

I doubt it, you need a TV with an HDMI port and protocol.

Good Morning,
There is an HDMI to RCA cable on ebay that I have thought about ordering.
I don't have confirmation that it will work with our devices though.
If you end up trying it please let us know how it goes!
Thank you, Audi.

I use mine on my tv via hdmi and it works great but I think that the hdmi signal outputs in such a way it needs a hdmi input to connect it to as I think it does a "handshake" where it exchanges basic information. I could be wrong but I'm sure that would mean that rca cables would not work.

[Q] Mobile HiDef Link (MHL)

This looks awsome.....
Anyone know how much this device will support MHL?
I see it has an MHL enabled usb but does anyone know if this will work out of the box? I can't find much info about it thats device specific.
I think it is safe to say it will work out of the box, in that the phone will support MHL out of the USB port. The question will be if the MHL cable will be included in the box.
The other issue is what will you plug it into? I do not think there are any tv sets with an MHL compatible HDMI port yet.
I would imagine that at first will will have to use MHL adapter cables that split from the MHL-USB side to normal HDMI plus a USB charging cable at the other end. Or just straight to HDMI and forgo the charging aspect.
Can u use a normal HDTV or do u need a MHL HDTV?
from what I've found out any tv with hdmi should work it just won't power from the tv.
Ive just found the answer to my questions, You will be able to connect an MHL phone to a non-MHL TV through the use of an adapter, it works the same as HDMI cable. Just no charging feature unless u use the Y-adapter where u can put a mini HDMI and a charger in the same adapter so then ull get best of both worlds.
The samsung Y-adaptor will be out in a month or so. U can then charge ya phone while watching media from ya phone, http://www.clove.co.uk/samsung-galaxy-s-ii-i9100-mhl-adaptor
but i thought of somthin, y would u need this if u can stream from ya phone to ya ps3 etc.. dont get me wrong a sgsII in the samsung dock would look real neet and to use ya tv remote to view ya phones content will be flashy, but its a lil bit much money to buy the accessories needed just to be flash to ya mates, wen ya can stream free to a ps3 with no cables etc...
Can this MHL mirror the phone just like a tv out, coz playin games on ya tv via ya phone is fun
U can mirror

[Q] sensation TV OUT ....anyone?

i have a burning question for all of you android/HTC experts out there....please help me
i intend to buy the sensation but i want to know:will i be able to connect it to a tv ?
the problem in my case is that my tv (and in fact none of those i could have access to) has a hdmi (or usb) port.
Therefore the only remaining option would be through a RCA cable.
I found on ebay a rca- usb cable... no boxes no nothing ...just the wire and the connectors...price about 5 $.. (i'm sorry i cant post the link.....)
will it work?
why not? i know rca is analog and usb is digital... hence my dilemma
i also know the sensation can do TV-out via MHL A/V link, but MHL is only going to work on the latest types of tvs....right?

It will work on any lcd or led tv which has a hdmi port(and as u stated ur tv has one),so it will definately work, normal hdmi cable or the cable which u have mentioned will not work, the official hdmi cable including mhl adaptor is available here:
http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/htc-sensation-mhl-hdmi-out-cable-ac-m490-p29367.htm?referer=aff_aw_102463
Regards....
sorry i meant to say my tv does not have hdmi or usb...
so i guess i'll have to do without....
thanks though....
So there is absolutely nothing i could do to connect the sensation to a tv using rca conectors????
nothing money could buy??
Since HDMI is digital and RCA is analog, you would need a converter box. Something like this could do it:

thank you very much.....

Connecting Infinity to HDTV...

I recently received an HDMI to Micro-HDMI cord, and was excited to test it on my 37" Panasonic.
I have tried every combination of turning on and off the TV/Tablet first etc...and it STILL will not show up on my TV. It's acting like there is nothing connected at all. No prompts.
So...what am I doing wrong? The cord I bought was 3 bucks on Amazon, so it may be a knock off or something. Buy a new cord? Any help is appreciated. Half the reason I bought this thing was to watch movies on my hdtv.

I would try to find another TV to test with... Maybe a display model in a retail store if you don't know anyone with a TV that you can test with?

My micro HDMI cord only worked on my LG when I first selected the input on my TV and then unplugged and plugged the HDMI cord back into the Infinity. Also make sure the cord is plugged ALL the way in.
When I played NetFlix on the tablet, the TV would display the video and sound, but the closed captioning stayed on the device.

I bought a Micro HDMI to HDMI cord on amazon for about 3 dollars also, it worked perfectly fine on my 42inch LCDTV Panasonic. All I had to do was connect it and change the input on the TV to the right HDMI and it worked fine. Although watching movies with subtitles didn't work so well as the subtitles was left at the tablet screen, and I couldn't turn the tablet screen off while watching movies on my TV.
when you plug in the HDMI cord, the TF700 should show some kind of "HDMI" noticifation, and will stay on when connected. If you're not seeing this, then you'll need to figure out if it's the cord or HDMI port on one of your devices. The TV, hook something else to it that used HDMI. The cord, try another cord. Monoprice has them cheap too; probably like $5 with shipping. If you're not seeing the HDMI notification after the cord, and you know they cord is good, it's your TF.

I have problems as well, tried to connect my tf700 to my samsung UE46ES8005 led tv but cant get it to work
On LG i have no problems at all, but the samsung refuses. Tried different cables to no avail.
I have sent a mail to samsung support 3 days ago but no answer.... hmm

same her it works on my monitor but i have Panasonic tv and it doesn't work tried a variety of cables and no go but tried on a Toshiba TV at parents and it works.i had the prime and it work just fine
Asus really needs to add some HDMI scaling options to the TF700 to allow it to work with more TV's - I'm assuming these issues are because the TF700 only seems to output at it's native resolution, which most devices don't seem to like... I'll do some testing with my Toshiba 1080p TV today, just to see what I can find out as well and report any findings that may be useful.

I've connected the TF700T to be Panasonic 55TV50 Plasmass HDTV and to a Vizio 16" LCD TV. No issues.
Connecting to 2 Vizio tvs and a Hitachi no problem.
Our 58 inch Samstung plasma only sees the tablet connection on HDMI 3 which is the recommended port for a monitor hook up from a pc.

There is a HDMI encryption called HDCP that basically makes it more annoying to use HDMI than it should. Some TV's do not have HDCP enabled. Since the Infinity FORCES HDCP chances are whats happening is the TV doesnt know what to do with the encrypted signal and the tablet doesnt want to play nice so the TV will work.
Unfortunate for you, im guessing your TV is not compatible. Sorry for the bad news mate.
There have also been problems with people trying to use HDMI - DVI adapters and connect into DVI monitors, since a lot of (older) DVI devices also dont support HDCP or sometimes the connector itself doesnt have the right connections to make HDCP work often it all just doesnt work properly. Maybe in time there will be a hack to disable HDCP, until then theres not much you can do.

Again pileot... HDCP has NOTHING to do with it. Find me a monitor/tv that does have HDMI that does not have hdcp enabled..... they don't exist anymore.
If it has HDMI... then chances are 99.999999% that you have an HDCP compliant monitor.
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20090922221218AAyrnYz
DVI will not work because the 5v signal that is needed for the monitor to recognize that something is connected to it-- is not sent with our tablets.
Seems this question is repeated as soon as it falls off the first page......

TF700T HDMI out on Samsung UE46ES8005

Hi.
I thought on sharing my findings on how i solved getting my infinity to work with my led-tv.
I have tried all kind of stuff before this but i have a stubborn samsung that doesn't want to recognize the tab.
I got some tips from within xda that infinity lacks the 5v for hdmi out so the tv can sence that something is hocked up.
i bought a Andersson HDMI Switch 4x1 that has a poweradaptor to try this out.
It wasn't an easy go by just hooking things up.
so i tried hocking my laptop up to the switch and got the picture on the tv, then i connected the tab on the second hdmi port and the infinity recognized that the hdmi was attached, i tried to switch ports with the remote to the hdmi switch but that failed, so i disconnected the cable to the laptop and VOILA i got the tv to show the tablets screen on the TV screen, i can now scale the picture and everything works great.
If i leave the switch powered on and connected to the tv i can connect and disconnect the tab without problems.
If i power of the switch i have to go through the same procedure again to fool the tv to recognize that samething is hooked up to the hdmi port.
Hope this helps some of you with the same problem and stubborn tv sets.
Best regards
Mackis

Weird. I have a powered monoprice HDMI switch connected to a Denon Receiver, which connects to my Sony TV. I've had no problems with the TF700 Infinity being recognized. I also took the Infinity on a cruise and connected it to a Samsung 720p LCD TV with no problems. I believe that this would discount the theory that the Infinity doesn't have the right HDMI signal/voltage.
I assume that you tried changing HDMI cables? Perhaps the TF700 that you have has a defective HDMI port.

________
That was my first guess but after i read here on xda that even the cables can be defective i bought one more, then i tried different manifactures LG and philips lcd-tv worked with the infinity without problems, so i guess i have a tv that is too new. I contacted Samsung and they are looking in to it. Not that i have high hopes, for now im a happy camper solving it this way.

It's weird that the TV would recognize other HDMI devices but not the Infinity. At least you have it working.

Yes i know, i think its weird to, but i think its the 5v issue that my samsung model don't sence.
On the LG i have to change hdmi port with the remotecontrol to the tv for it to work or power it down and up again otherwise its not working. On the samsung lcd on my work i have no problems at all but it is older tv models. If i could get hold of some other tv model that anyone here have problems hooking up the infinity with i would be happy to try this solution and see if it works.

AH man what disappointment tried my USB C hub with HDMI and nothing quick google search and you need a MHL adaptor what a step back
do they even make USB C MHL adaptor adapters

I do see MHL to HDMI cables on Amazon. But I am not sure if any of them work. I am personally looking for one so I can use it in the car so my kids can watch what I mirror off my A71 5g.
If anyone comes across a cable that works, please let me know. TIA

You shouldn't be too surprised if you're looking for old technology and get flashbacks of your old devices, what do you expect? I remember cables was a thing on my S3..
Its 2020, not 2012, who uses wires when we can easily go wireless? Spend that money you're wanting to buy wires with on a cheap Chromecast if your TV doesn't already have it built in. You can get a used one for like under $10, $5 probably.. I can sell you my 1st gen CC, for $5 if you want..
Then look for the "cast" feature in settings and there you go. That let's you cast a video on your TV screen while you can be doing something totally different on your phone, like browsing the web or something. Now if you want to mirror your phone screen so the exact image appears on the TV, thats possible too..
This may not help the individual question, however, it may provide info for someone.
I have casted my Note 8 using a Chrome Cast and Roku. The Roku Ultra worked much better as there was no lag.
I also cast movies from my PC Windows 10 to my Smart TV via Web/Internet and that works great. Problem with Roku is that Roku does not support AVI format movies. So, I can play AVI movies from my Note 8 or PC to the TV.
