try using different usb port..
or enter download mode manually
(volume down+menu+power button instead of rebootdownload.bat)

Unplug USB cable.
Go to download mod again (push Volume down + Home + Power for 10 sec)
Close Odin
start again Odin
and try again.
Don't forget pit file if u cheeked rePartition ;-)
Use Odin 1.7

nothing worked, I allready go manually in DL Mod, nothing else is possible.
Odin 1.70 wont flash, shows failure 1
WTF whats up with my Phone

Dont panic as long as you get the tringle yellow sign it can work. do as i mention exactly.
1- remove battery, after 1 min put it back.
2- on your phone and you will see the yellow triangle.
3- open odin 4.43 in your computer and set the files as on pic. you have to flash xxpk4.
4 - connect your phone while it is on with the yellow tringle.
5- odin will map your phone, it will show mapping port in yellow.
6- hit start and wait DONT panic, but wait till it finish.
If you need files you can download from here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1346245

1.ok
2.hav to start manually, when i do nothing it boots to animation and reboot (Bootloop)
2.1 I can enter Download mode like this
Theres no triangle.
I have tried 2.3.6, 2.3.4 rooted like in your pic.
Odin detects my Phone on Comport but still stucks, see first post.

Take out your battery for a while. Rly like 5 min at least. If you have another USB cable, try with that. Also try reinstalling/updating the usb drivers. LINK TO DRIVERSsamsung-mobile-phone-usb-driver-software.updatestar.com/

Battery was out for hours, allready have reinstalled usb drivers.
Have tried to flash like on your pic.
Damn it wont flash...
The last two options are build Jig USB Cable (dont know why because i can reach download mode) and when this wont work, I have to bring it back to the shop i have bought :-(

i got some problem howver i manage to overcome tht problem...
1.connect ur USB to your phone & make sure all file being set in Odin for flashing (make sure all file put in destop)
2.put ur phone in manual download mode (press lower volume button+homebutton+on button together)
3.i believe odin can should detect ur phone, then press start.
4.if the odin stuck at same place then off your phone pressing on button (dont remove ur usb cable) & follow step 2 & 3
5.try continue untill it flash.
i've try 4time until i can flashing my phone, hope it can help you too coz ur problem excatly same with mine (cant flash any rom)

hi,
thanks napie fo advice.
Somethimg new happend, when it stucks, i switched it of manually while it was connected, 1 sec before the Phone goes off it starts to flash.
But the problem is, that this happens when the Phone is shuting down, cant stop the procedure.
So it fails.
Its the same with the 2.3.4 firmware!!!
Look at the screenshot...
**** it also shows the same when I unplug while flashing procedure :-((

seem ur usb port got problem...try use another usb port maybe it can be fixed...also please put ur flash file direct in ur destop instead inside other folder name....otherwise use my previous instruction it can be use when ur phone stuck in odin
download file for 2.3.4

But do you explain why XXKP4 didnt install?

@napie I know how to use odin, i have flashed 2.3.4 [email protected] 2.3.6 its not my ability that causes this problems.
I have tried on 3 Computers and 15 different USB ports, its not the USB port.
It makes no difference if the files are direct on the desktop or not, have tried it.
@ mbba67
I know when to select the one pack file, i have flashed several CMW and Kernel.
When its not seleceted it means I will not flash the file. ;-)
I have tried xxxx different combinations.
Maybe i have to accept that its broken :-(

Explaining is not the answer because i think you cant explain why others can flash Cranium RC 4 and others cant since they all doing them same way of flashing
The only way is trying all possiable way untill it comes right....it can be e.g. usb cable, corrupted files, drivers etc......

What i meant was that if the problem was that the 'one package' wasn't ticked then it should have worked with xxkp4 as well.

Its now ****ing flashing and it works.
Its the way like napie said with one difference.
(4.if the odin stuck at same place then off your phone pressing on button (dont remove ur usb cable) & follow step 2 & 3)
When it stucks, i switched manually off, then i switched on and the Battery logo appeared.
Now I have pressed the Buttons for download mode there was no Samsung logo.
Strange but works so going on with flashing Cranium RC 4 ^^
Flashed CWM same way, have to go every time this way by flashing wit odin
Thanks to all

If you cant get in to cwm than Go to download mode and using odin go back to stock. Reroot again.

If in case this does not work for you than and you are still luck enough to go into CWM than do factory reset and flash any stock rom. And do all this steps again.
Ok so after getting into Download Mode.
-Go ahead and Go to Odin (Check "auto-reboot", and uncheck all other options).
--In Odin check PDA and find the recovery.tar file that you downloaded.
Now Press Start (Check "auto-reboot", and uncheck all other options.)

thanks guys. I was able to flash it back to stock based on above instruction
Instead of making a new thread, figured i would try here first.
Long story short, my skyrocket wont boot into recovery or cmw. I've tried both countless times, and all i can ever get is a quick flash of a battery icon. It still vibrates (gosh i hope thats a good sign of life) and has been plugged into the wall with stock cable/charger for about an hour now.
Basically, flashed the phone via cmw, waited 30+ minutes for it to reboot, it wouldnt, and now i have the problem described above. Battery was at about 40% when i flashed, but was plugged into my computer.
Any help? Maybe i need an external battery charger?

can you get the phone into download mode? unplug phone, pull battery and reinsert, press vol up/down at the same time and plug usb into phone, contine holding vol up/down until download mode arrears, basically have you followed the instructions in the post mentioned above?
Yes, I did try that, with no luck.
I actually got it, though. I pulled the battery countless times, did the whole download mode thing, cwm thing, and let it charge for an hour... so on, with no luck.
As an almost last resort, i ended up pulling the battery and leaving it out for 15 minutes after charging it for another hour. Once i reinserted it, i got it go into cwm, mounted my card, downloaded/flashed a new rom and I'm good to go.
Thanks for your help tho!
whew.

Well I screwed up

Okay, so SOMEHOW I downloaded the crespo factory images and flashed the bootloader and then the radio. The system update wouldn't flash and this is when I realized my horrible mistake. So I downloaded the correct factory images. But now, I have no USB access on the thing. Can't fastboot. Can't adb. Phone boots and charges over usb. I can reboot into the bootloader, but my computer doesn't recognize the phone is even attached. I can reboot into recovery (I still have CWM on there) but what can I do from there? Am I TOTALLY ****ed? Please please please help!.....
I think what I need is a CWM flashable bootloader zip file. Or a complete OTA ROM Update zip file that flashes ROM, radio, and bootloader. Since I have CWM I think either of these will work for me, but I can 't find anything like this for the Nexus S 4G. Can anyone help?

Unfortunately it doesn't. My computer doesn't recognize this phone at all anymore, not in fastboot or download mode, or even just booted into Android. If someone could PLEASE show me where a CWM flashable file that will flash the bootloader is, or make me one, I'd pay some good $$$ for it. Please help?
You flashed the bootloader & radio with ODIN?

I flashed the CRESPO bootloader and radio via fastboot. Then when I tried to flash the ROM update via fastboot it gave me an error. This is when I noticed I was using the CRESPO files instead of the CRESPO 4G files.... Now, after rebooting, my computer WILL NOT recognize the phone at all via usb, in any way, fastboot, ODIN, nothing. But otherwise the phone seems fine. It charges over USB. It boots and I can get into recovery (and I still have CWM) so if I could download a file over wifi (which I can, already tried) and then flash said file via CWM that would flash the new bootloader, I'd be good to go.

Did you ever get this resolved? I did something VERY similar when I first started modding on this phone, and experienced VERY similar issues. I have an AWESOME fix, even though it leaves the download screen looking like the oem unlock screen if you put oem lock back on (otherwise it looks normal, and who the heck would do that is beyond me - I only found it when I originally took it back to COMPLETE stock), but it functions fine, and this will take you back to gb, but it seems like the 'fixall' for this phone, and you can always reroot, reflash cwm via fastboot, etc, after using it.
Let me know.
Peace..

[Q] Infuse stuck on boot screen

Background: Trying to update my stock infuse to Jelly Bean. Looked into what was needed via hours of research. Used SuperOneClick to root phone (Success), installed ESFile Manager to help install mod 3e recovery (success), used ROM Manager to flash CWM (Success).
Upon testing the CWM by booting into recovery, this boot screen issue started.
- I've tried hard resetting, (no success, won't go past the Samsung screen).
- I'm currently using Odin to restore stock firmware, but it's been about 25 minutes so it's probably not working.
- I can only get to Samsung screen and download mode, that's it!
I need my phone and I need to get some sleep. what am I missing? Much appreciated
thanks
here's a shot of Odin right now. It's stuck on "setup connection"

Here is what I used to Un-boot loop my phone worked like a charm, the instructions we're a little un-clear but if you read through it, a few times, it's really rather easy. You need to download Java (Jave Runtime Enviorment, also known as JRE I used OpenJDK Java 7) on your computer, download the Heimdall one click packages, put your phone in download mode:
-Pull the battery out and make sure the phone is NOT connected by a usb cable.
-Put the battery back in!
-Hold vol up+Vol down. DO NOT PRESS POWER.
-Plug in the USB cable.
Open the downloaded heimdall one click with java (in Ubuntu Context menu Windowz is likely the same) and it will return your phone back to stock which is where you want to start for I believe almost all the JB ROMs. If you search around Quickster made some other One click packages to get you rooted and CWM installed as well as Kernels and other stuff. These things work great and to me are a million times easier than every other method.Good luck and if there's any other help I can provide I'll do my best

I can't get into download mode anymore. I used to be able to prior to trying Kies. Now I can only get to an icon with a white phone with two dots and a computer icon with a yellow hazard triangle in between them (emergency mode logo). I can't get to any download mode no matter what, at least that's not displayed. I think Odin recognized it last night with this new emergency mode, but everything i tried failed

Perhaps try to use the Heimdall "back to stock" while in that Emergency mode. The Heimdall program will also tell you if it recognizes a phone attached in download mode, and if it will recognize the phone and flash you back to stock, you can also have it put you back on stock bootloaders which sounds like your problem (though flashing bootloaders is dangerious but in your case may be nessessary). Maybe PM Quickster see if he recommends trying to flash with Heimdall on that mode you've entered, I might also try using an alternate USB cable if you haven't already.

The computer icon with a yellow hazard triangle in between them is a form of download. Use Heimdall after making sure you have the correct JRE and drivers.

I have the stock firmware from Samsung. that includes the drivers I presume? the md5 file
holy smokes I'm so relieved it worked!
So, I used Heimdall's froyo Uck3 firmware or whatever since that's what was in the package. I still want Jelly bean. I have the JB folder with what I suppose I need (think it was from android geeks). However, since this was painless, is there a Heimdall one click for JB?

I haven't seen a Heimdall for JB, or any custom ROM I think because it requires a special PIT file to make. I used this ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1776129 To flash It though you have to be on the Gingerbread bootloaders, and the instructions for flashing it want you to even flash CM9 ICS, before you flash the final JB ROM. Basically follow the instructions thoroughly or you'll end up in a boot loop ( Not that that's a big deal, now that you have a quick easy way out)
meanhs sal
darn, I'll have to see if JB is really worth it to take the chance again. I also noticed that froyo version from the Heimdall is quirky with some apps. I turn the phone on and several apps just close on me. I get the buzz of death (the one and three) as i like to call it
I'm pretty sure there's Gingerbread version of the Heimdall one click, I'd flash that as almost all the newer Roms are going to require you at least have upgraded to the Gingerbread bootloaders.

Note 5 bricked

Good Morning
I have spent all night trying to determine how to unbrick my brand new Note 5. I was able to use Odin to root the device, but then when I rebooted after trying to install TWRP, it is just plain bricked. I cannot get Odin to install any firmware, i can boot into recovery mode, but wiping data and cache does nothing. I get a constant bootloop that says Kernel is not SEAndroid and Custom Binary blocked by FRP.
Every time i plug the phone into the laptop, it says that the USB device is unrecognizable. I have installed Samsung USB drivers. I am just at a loss, Odin fails every time.
I will admit that I am a pathetic noob and should have waiting a longer time to do this. I had just given up my iPhone on Sunday.
Any help would be appreciated.
Delete the Samsung drivers and then reinstall them, that may get your computer to recognize your device. As far as the rest idk

I have done that several times so far. The thing is, the system says not reco. but Odin sees it. I can boot into both download and recovery. So is this considered soft or hard bricked?

You can't brick your phone. That terminology is silly.
What Odin are you using? You have to use 10.0.7.1 something like that.
Also make sure you are flashing your device model firmware.
Try another computer if Odin fails on your current computer.

One "trick" that might work:
Without your phone plugged-in to your PC,
Set up ODIN w/the firmware of choice,boot-up your phone,plug-in to PC,then, boot into download mode while plugged-in.
Try this,or several variations of it.
I had to do this using ODIN on my Note5 to get programs/ROMS to load up.
This isn't common, but,I've seen a few other people have to do this,it's likely a PC-Driver related thing (I have a somewhat uncommon PC,a Gateway, that may explain it)............from Kolio on AndroidForums

If it's bootlooping, you must go into stock recovery and wipe data, factory reset!

I have gone into recovery and wiped data however that does nothing. here are the steps I have done:
Power phone on holding the volume up, home and power buttons - it installs system update
-wipe data/factory reset
I get red line: E: failed to mount /preload (No such file or directory)
then using what was suggested in prior post
When trying to flash with Odin it gets to cm.bin and then fails.
Have you tried re-downloading the firmware from sammobile.com? Try a different build number?

Yes i have. i grabbed the latest and the one before that. Maybe I should go one further.
I also tried using nobleltetmStockRecovery.tar.md5
I have gotten most success from this though it just hangs after NAND Write Start!!

That method given to me earlier was the key, it was the order in which i plugged it in, turned it on and boom it worked!!
I am not going to do this again until i am much more well versed in the Android world. Thank you to everyone who helped!:laugh::laugh::good::good::good:

It happened to me too i was scared i thought ihad messed my phone up but I found a solution
You can try different usb port and different cable too. And which tab you use for the installing the stock firmware? FRP lock is here because you didnt open the oem unlock before the installing customized file. You have to install stock with odin. and then factory reset and then you can open the device get the development settings and disable the oem unlock.

You can't brick your phone. That terminology is silly.
What Odin are you using? You have to use 10.0.7.1 something like that.
Also make sure you are flashing your device model firmware.
Try another computer if Odin fails on your current computer.

Sure you can brick your phone, and the only thing silly about the term brick is the over use of it.

Well, I'm no expert on booting, but I would try this. First, pull the battery to shut off the phone. Second, reinstall the battery and Press and hold "Volume Up+Home+Power" buttons at the same time till your phone is on,then your Samsung will enter Recovery Mode. It takes a while to get to the recovery screen so be patient. You may see the dead android for a while, but after a few minutes you will get the recovery menu. From there you can try reboot system and see if it will boot for you.
Good Luck!

Forgot to ask you a question. I have a J3 that I'm trying to unlock the boot loader. If you get yours working, would you mind checking your developer options to see if you have the button for OEM unlocking? I would appreciate it. Thanks

Did you hold the keys down continuously? That is to say, until you either get recovery mode (or in your case bootloader mode)? If you let go of the key combo after seeing the Samsung J3 screen, you let go too soon. I've always had success with getting into recovery that way. Try it again.
If you truly can't start up in recovery mode, I think you may have wiped out your recovery partition. I'd suggest you use Odin to flash it again.
I just tried booting into recovery mode and then reboot to system. If you can get to that point, you are home free. If you can't get to recovery mode, I think your best bet is to try to reflash with Odin. Maybe you got a bad download. Consider getting a fresh download and reflashing with Odin.
One more thing you might be able to do. IF you had usb debugging enabled, you could connect the phone to your pc, and issue a fastboot command "fastboot reboot" which would reboot you into the system.
This reqires some level of technical skill and some setup work to get fastboot installed (on windows) or if you have a Linux computer, fastboot is probably already installed.
The above is only going to work if you had the developers option for usb debugging turned on before you flashed the phone, and even then it may or may not work, depending on how far the phone gets while booting.
I think at this point, your best option is downloading a fresh copy of your system image from Samsung, and reflashing it with Odin. Hoperfully it will still connect to Odin, since it's already in bootloader mode.
This phone was fully functional but had broken screen as you see. I left it and I ordered a new from aliexpress. After one month the new screen came. I took the phone for charging but it gave a signal that battery not charged. And the phone not opened. I placed a new battery for charging but still couldn't get to menu and I did a wipe data factory reset but nothing happened so I decided to flash it with odin but while the flash is OK the phone don't boot. When I try to charge it is gives a green screen

After you flashed it, and rebooted the phone, how long did you wait for the phone to boot into system? It takes a long time (like maybe 15 minutes) for it to get to the point where you do the initial configuration. If you can try flashing with Odin again, give it at least 15 minutes to get through it's initialization process. That might be what went wrong. Just a guess on my part, but that's what I think. Let me know if it works.

I don't know if you are still trying to fix your phone. If so, you might try experimenting with the ODIN option for reboot after flash. Try turning it off, flash with ODIN, unplug cable, pull battery and re-insert, see if it will boot (be patient, it will be slow). If that doesnt work, pull and reinsert battery, then try to boot into recovery with keys.
Just an idea... might get lucky.

Hello ntamvakeras, on the first video I tell you that in option you manipulate in pit. I have an old j3 2017 I managed to install official Firmware and then install TRWP, the J3 cable is the good one I didn't have the good is we change it worked.
When you use in option pit these why you do this, I flash I don't touch pit.
