Not to speak out of line, but what's the risks with flashing this kernel? I'm thinking about giving it a shot...

It says all ROM's.
It could mean phones also. He just doesn't specifically state this.

N/M, you're right. The download link says "all phones". And is broken for me also.

faux builds kernels for my atrix as well. I'm running cm7 with faux's kernel for the past 2 months. Simply awesome. I just flashed cm7 on my wifes skyrocket and i'm excited to see this dev. by faux!

running this now, seems to work ok. has rotation issues. it changes samsung boot to t-mobile boot, but i do get LTE and get the same speeds. but it does seem to be slower than than da g's and even over clocked i didnt see much improvement in benches over our stock rom. but there you have it. seems to work ok.....do what you will.

Maybe. I heard though you can use a modded cm7 somehow. Except its hard.
no kernel = dead in the water
Ha well for noob builders like me can use this to our advantage if we ever get a kernel.

Dman,
ICS is great and it has potential on our infuse. Don't get me wrong, I love the work you do but I am very sure that with ICS/some glimpse of hope, shown to the masses here at the infuse forums will uplift some people and stop at least some, nagging.

Exactly lol. I know ics is not all that special, its just the theme, launcher, and framework have been made to look very cool. This method is just so us noobs can try it if the kernel ever is avail.

You're right, your ported roms are much better than ICS.
Multitasking alone is enough reason to get ics, you don't have to belittle it just because we have no developers working on it

I noticed that to switch kernels the OP of that post suggests that the user flash a stock kernel (which is at&t in his post). Would this work for us now that we are unlocked? Or do we need a Verizon version to restore wifi/blue tooth drivers?

Have you suffered any wake lock issues on the Sprint kernel? Many of us on CM10 have been having this issue on both the stock CM kernel as well as Imo's. I would certainly give this kernel a shot if you haven't had that particular issue. Thanks!

Yeah it be great if they released the sources so we can get better kernels. Although Newts used the same kernel and some how made the battery last a little longer than bamf ics leaked rom.

I'm installing Santod's now BUT... I have to say I removed the BAMF leak originally due to battery life but I re-installed it two days ago, before I did, I ran Superwipe and reset the battery statistics. Now the battery life is VERY close to OK, WAY better than my first try. It's a completely usable ROM now.
Unless there's a major improvement with battery life over the original leak, I can't see how this will get me to switch from Liquid's ICS.

Music app is a known issue and a fix is in the works.
The install procedure is outlined in the OP of the rom thread.
Which tells you to format ext3...
Until we have a custom kernel, ext4 is a no go.
