[Q] No Signal please help - Nexus S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

After having a number of FC and random issues with my phone I decided to return it to factory state, I flash the stock image from the Clockwork app and ever since I have no service. I let the phone go through the update from 2.3.3 to 2.3.4 via wifi and had the same issue. I tried to manually flash the latest AT&T radio with no luck. My phone is now flashed the stock GRj22 Rom and baseband KD1 and I still show no signal please help!

No Service - Is my phone sim locked?

Hello, I upgraded my nexus s to 2.3.3 and the new radio xkb1, I also tried xkb3 but I get no service still. I even changed apn settings etc.. nothing works!
I tried modaco rom (2.3.3) and stock rom 2.3.3.
WHen I put it in airplane mode, my simcard network comes up (GiffGaff UK) but cannot do anything as it says phone is in airplane mode.
What shall I do? I think it is the radio but I done know how to downgrade the radio to 2.3.1 radio?
did it work before you Flashed the radio for unknown reason?
i'll suggest a complete wipe of the phone and restore back to a stock ROM or stock nandroid backup and see if it works
the thing is that I cant find an 2.3.1 radio?

[Q] Nexus S bricked after flashing GRJ22 Full ROM

Hi guys,
I was having problems while updating my nexus S(9020T) to 2.3.4. I manually updated my phone from 2.3.2 to 2.3.3 and everything was smooth and fine. Before I tried to flash the stock ROM(2.3.4) for 9020T over my current settings, I was running on build GRI40 baseband JK8 bootloader KA3. the small update from GRI40 - GRJ22 did not work for me. Hence, I used the following link(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1056062) to download the full ROM and update. The update did not succeed and for the first few reboots, I was able to go into fastboot mode and try to flash again. Eventually after a few reboots, the phone stopped booting up.
Right now it is just in a blank state and I am afraid it is hard bricked. Is there any way to get around this state?
Thanks for your help in advance.
Can you enter into bootloader screen?

[q] No service after flashing rom

After flashing the ROM Axlor_NexS_HDBlog not reading that it contained a radio and mine is a ATT Nexus s and after flashing the rom i no longer have service and i restored to an older ROM and still no service. I changed the radio back to the one i had before and still nothing. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Do you get emergency calls only or nothing at all? I would say dial *#*#4636#*#* and mess with your radio options to see if that helps, but I could be wrong
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App

I have the exact same AT&T Nexus S and ran into the SAME problem last night. I am currently using it on Rogers. What you should do is flash your phone with 2.3.4 GTJ61 (NOT GRJ22 - for some reason it wouldn't catch radio connection).
You can find the full ROM in the following thread: (you MUST flash using Clockwork mod recovery bootloader)

[RESOLVED] Cannot re-flash radio firmware on 9020a no matter what.

I've tried just about everything to flash a new version of the radio firmware on my 9020a. I've used the Radio Flashing Guide and tried every version available for the 9020a. Each time, the flash reports that it was successful, but no matter which one I choose, baseband still shows I'm running i9020aucke1 when I boot it back up.
I've also flashed the stock ICS OTA update 4.04 for the 9020a, thinking "well, THAT has to do it." but still I'm stuck on cke1.
Are there permissions that may be wrong? Is there anything else I can do? I want to flash a new radio because e1 is terrible for me. It won't switch between "3g" to "H" and just spins it's wheels and I get no data. Sometimes I get ZERO signal. If I reboot or switch Airplane Mode on & off, data comes back and works for a while, but then reverts back to working like crap.
Thanks a lot.
Update
I was trying to flash via Clockworkmod. I used ADB FASTBOOT and the radio is now on J1.
So, if Clockworkmod isn't working, use ADB FASTBOOT.

[Q] Clicking sound during calls after nvflash

I had previously ran some custom ROMs (Cyanogen, etc) on my G2x, but this past year I had gone back to the stock 2.3.4 ROM. I did leave my phone rooted.
Recently I had decided to give my phone to someone else and wanted to do a factory reset to get rid of my info.
I followed the steps on the T-Mobile support site.
I held down on the volume while turning it on.
After a second I got the "S/W Upgrade" screen.
I left my phone alone for a while, but the screen never went away. After unhooking it my phone seemed bricked.
I followed the following guide to fix it and it restored my phone to 2.3.3:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1248644
The phone seemed to work fine, but all of a sudden I started hearing clicking.
I decided to try to update to 2.3.4, but my phone is a refurbished phone and won't do the OTA update.
I downloaded the LG driver and tool to try to update, but it said my phone already had the latest update. It detects my software version as V21Y when it's actually V21e.
Here is more of my phone info.
Model number:
LG-P999DW
Android version:
2.3.3
Baseband version:
M6600A-SCAUTNZ-2.0.9720T 1 [MAR 11 2012 10:00:00]MP:TRUGLE_08.09.02R_MDM
Kernel version:
2.6.32.9
Build number:
GRI40
Software version:
LG-P999-V21e
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Flash this in CWM to fix the audio: http://www.mediafire.com/?8spjkaknyg5bd30
You have the 2.3.3 software installed which doesn't have the audio files working for the baseband that comes with the 2.3.4 update

Hey. Thanks for the reply.
Is there a way just to flash a working 2.3.4 rom?
Also, when I install this fix, do I just keep the files zipped and keep it at the root of my sd card when I run CWM?
I've been following step-by-steps so my grasp of the flashing process is tenuous at best.
Yes just pick select zip from external sd and flash away.
