First: you need to register with their website:

Second: Go to this website from your phone:

(Just search merckmedicus from your phone, it much easier)
Then choose "Download", you'll go to another page, login, then you'll be able to install the app

I tried this on my old Kaiser running Android 2.1 and it works like charm. much better looking than WM
As I said, it's by far one of the best medical apps you can get, very accurate info, you can update it regularly, does not require internet connection to work (just for first time, and if you want to sync), and it’s free
I did not know that this app was available for android before. I'm now very tempted to let go my HD2 and get an android device….Maybe when the Desire HD is out

NEED HELP!!
I've been using Merck Medicus since Windows Mobile. AWESOME APP!!! I have it for both my iPhone and Android tablet. So, when I updated my iPhone a few months ago and it deleted the database without so much as a warning, I was more than a little pissed. Months later, still no update and no content. I should let you know I'm a flight paramedic... so offline file access is essential. Not much internet above the clouds.
So, I blocked internet access from the app on my tablet using the Avast firewall and (obviously) haven't updated it. I upgraded from CM7 to CM9 and was able to preserve everything using Titanium Backup BUT... my Harrison's Clinical Database appears to be corrupt. When I serach topics in Harrison's I get "This item could not be displayed due to an error". Of course, it wants me to re-download the database (not an option as it will clear out all the data and replace it with a "we're updating this app to make it better... in the meantime you don't get squat" message).
Does anyone have a working copy of this app with that database they can help me out with? It should be in /unbound_medicine/Mmmo/z_Harrison's Practice_Mmmo.pdb
To be clear here: I'm looking for a database file for a free app... this not a request for anything pirated.
And to those of you who have the app... DON'T UPDATE!! If you don't have it already, there's not much point right now to downloading it as there is no content available.

I'm having the same problem. Actually mine is even worse because when i uptated to CM9, for some reason, my Titanium Backup didn't work with Merck Medicus and i dont have any package installed!

[GUIDE] Get 5GB storage with box.net and any device

I've seen this guide in various places but i thought it would be most useful in here. I have searched to see if anyone has posted this here but found nothing.
MOD EDIT: Any app/guide that leads to defrauding a Company of money by spoofing their services is considered Warez.
Mounting Box.net on your Desktop
Linux Users​For those on linux theres a way to mount the box drive as webdavfs.

You can easily mount a WebDAV filesystem on Linux so that you can access the files just like they were on your local computer. One way to do is to install the davfs2 package (this is the Ubuntu/Debian package name, though it should be similar for other distros). Once you have installed it, add an entry to /etc/davfs2/secrets with your login credentials for the WebDAV account.
For box.net, the command would look like this:

You need to choose a mountpoint on your local filesystem for the WebDAV mount. In this example I am going to use /mnt/box.net, so go ahead and create the directory:

Now add an entry to /etc/fstab for this filesystem, which will allow you to automatically mount it at boot time. Save your changes to /etc/fstab and now try mounting your remote filesystem. It should mount successfully and now be accessible at your mountpoint. Note: if you have trouble writing files to the WebDAV filesystem, take a look at this article for a solution.

To have box.net, Dropbox, Googl Docs, Sugar Sync, and others in one folder use otixo.com. Just sign up and add your accounts then click on the link at the bottom of the page that says 'otixo on your Desktop'. It will guide you on how to mount your cloud services as a network drive.

When I used root explorer it didn't work all the time, I used prop editor and I cleared the box.net app data before trying again and that seemed to do the trick

As an aside, if you already have a 50gb box.net from either the HP Touchpad or Apple product special offers you can't get it. They don't stack on accounts, so you'll need to create multiple accounts to get all the free 50gb offers. They also do not work if you pay for a box.net account.

Me too, dropbox is generally better but you can't complain after getting a free 50GB

When i edit my build.prop file and reboot, it just resets to the default HTC Desire settings. What am i doing wrong?

Assuming you are doing this with root explorer, one you edit the prop file, you need to mount back read only (r/o) and then restart.
Once you have the account, switch back to original prop.

Aye, works! I had a little problem editing the build.prop file, I just added the ro.model. blablabla lines, and forgot to erase the original model.zte lines.

EDIT! Dammit, guess what? I have now two box accounts with 50GB! When I was strugling with the prop file, I made another box account(I thought that was the problem), and now that I made the prop file "work", my both accounts were activated with the extra LG space! Excellent!

I can make as many accounts as you want, they dont even check to see it the emails are valid lol

You can increase your own account by inviting other people to get a Dropbox account ... if you need one feel free to use my invitation

I logged into my dropbox account for the first time on my samsung galaxy tab 10.1 from t-mobile and they gave me 48Gb free. My account now shows 51.88GB available. Was quite shocked!

[GUIDE] How to get 23gb on Dropbox?

Hello all.
I saw a few people who couldn't get extra space on Dropbox. It's short guide how to do it.
First of all you need rom with Sense 4 (we've got a few. It's your choice) and of course Dropbox account (but you can create new so don't worry).
1. Get mobile network package if in your rom WiFi doesn't work
2. Do full wipe
3. Flash rom
It's obvious.
4. Configure rom. When you see Dropbox login please log in or create new account.
5. Continue configuration and use your rom.
That's all. You should get an e-mail from Dropbox crew: "You got 23gb bla bla bla".
After that check your Dropbox. I done it on my PC. Just opened Dropbox folder and after few minutes it showed information about my extra space.
If something doesn't work please do full wipe, flash rom and try once again.
You'll get extra 23gb space valid for 24 months permanently.

If it's valid for 24 months, it's not exactly permanent,is it?

I meant after you delete rom with Sense 4 Dropbox won't cut down your space.

Tried a few times & these 5 steps are a bust.
Most I get offered is 250MB after each wipe/flash & am up to 2.75GB now
Cannot be bothered performing this method 89 more times so I'll stick with 50GB on box, thanks anyways.

Idk what's wrong, it works fine for me and others. I like Dropbox and idk why but I think it's safer for me. Dropbox was first too.

Box would be great if it didn't have the 100mb file limit. Dropbox also syncs both ways much better. I use Box as well and it won't delete files if you've deleted them on your laptop (so it keeps everything). On the other hand, Dropbox syncs and updates files much better.

Sounds too good to be true imho, especially when you only seem to get 250mb per flash.

I got a confrimatiom message to click a link to get it, but it keeps directing me to the home page. What shall I do?

Unless you pay whatever the rate is for that amount of space, I would expect it to drop to whatever level you have 'earned' by other methods. As you get extra 250MB from referrals, etc, then across 2 years you could add quite a lot of 'free' space that is yours to keep.

The five steps gave me 250 mb but thats not what i wanted
Edit: I've tried to wipe and changed to another sense4-rom, but since i got the mail above that doesnt seem to be the problem.

I have stick at this mail too it won't and won't give me the 23 gb space whatever what i do

Yes, me too very strange. When I got there, I saw I hadn't taken the "tour", the only one of the 7 or so steps that yo uneed to complete to become a guru and get an additional 3gb space.
So I did that, but still the 23gb did not appear. I have racked up 20gb of space via referrals, camera uploads and others, but the 23gb is not appearing.
(I've gone back to my previous sense 3.5 ROM, since ICS was just a bit too experimental for me )

Guys its seriously high time. We have been doing sooooo many things on earth to get those extra GBs on our cloud solution. Time to know some alternatives in the market and choose the ones that meet our needs. One such suggestion from me would be Syncblaze. Give it a try, its cool, amazing, cheaper than others, offers plenty of features. I am sure you will love it.

Or in alternative u have in Google Play others like Box that offers u for free 50Gb for a lifetime.

Cool, amazing.... but what's the cost?? Just had a quick look, there is no mention that I could find of it's pricing.
Looks like an enterprise solution, at least - Dropbox has the advantage of free storage for less demanding users, as do most other cloud solutions.
Box is pretty good too, though it's a pure web solution, I do prefer Dropbox, mainly since some apps iI use integrate their on-line backup to it (yes, I could set that link up manually...)

There is a mass amount of information in the Android apps section. We certainly don't need multiple threads for the same app, by the same person.
I thought you were going to be removing the phone number requirement. Did you start this new thread to hide the phone number requirement complaints from the other thread?
Now I'm wondering if your app is shady, and simply farming phone numbers.
Please explain, because I am about to go on a crusade AGAINST this app.

my app was removed from the android market and the link about is a new one directly to mediafire. Im still working on the profile page and im definitely removing the phone number. If you want just type any number in the box doesnt make a difference to me, it can be all 1's if it makes you feel better.

Why start a new thread, and not just edit the old one? You could have made the old thread say whatever you wanted with whatever link you wanted, just by editing the post. You don't need to start an entirely new one. I have threads I started months ago where I still edit the first post with new and updated information.
Anyway, thanks for the clarification. I will be keeping my eye out for the removal of the phone number requirement.

someone sent a dcma complaint saying i was stealing intellectual property and violating copyright infringement. they did it out of spite or to remove me as competition from the market. everything in the app was designed by my graphic designer from scratch. and google didnt even care to warn me they just removed us.

Hi there, just wanted to share my latest app. Amazon daily app
If you are a user of the Amazon app-shop like me, you may have encounter the same problem as me:
- Being "forced" to download the free app of the day to add it to your account
Well you can still cancel the download once it's launch, but hey ... it was bothering me.
So here it is, with "Amazon daily app" you can see what is the app of the day, add it to your account, or download it (still need to get it by the amazon app).
Feel free to leave me comments and remarks.
If you do like the app or just want to help, a nice comment/rate on the app sotre wil be appreciated
And if you don't like it, there's plenty of apps that will certainly suit you on XDA (but no rate & comment will be appreciated ^^)

I've been waiting for this. I use the "free app of the day" app, but they're mostly things I'm not interested in so it'll be uninstalled soon. I much prefer the Amazon free apps, but unfortunately this isn't compatible with my phone (HTC One).

Sorry about that ... I wasn't managing in the beginig all amzon stores ... but I do now ^^
It should be available when google bots update the application profile to all countries

It probably is more likely to be a version issue than a device issue. I'm on 4.2.2.

Nop, I've a GS2 under 4.2.2 and a LG 2X under 2.3
It's working fine on both ... from what I've read, It may come from resolution probleme ... I'll keep on the investigation ^^

Edit: Why does it need login credentials? You don't need them to find out what the free app is.

Not that the app is not useful but you can also bookmark http://www.amazon.com/mobile-apps/b/ref=topnav_storetab_mas?ie=UTF8&node=2350149011 from pc or mobile device to see the app of the day and "purchase" it without downloading. This will work for all devices period.

True, that's why at the beginning I only wanted to load the webpage, and play with custom CSS, in sort to see only needed information, and have a more user friendly interface. But performance wasn't really there, so I decided to go a bit further in the process
The other objective (not sure it should be done) is to automate all this process, and just grab every day the free app. This is only if I found a nice way to keep the session open (token or whatever)
@Archer: The credential are not needed to see what's the free app. It's only asked once you decide to "buy" it (for free) with your amazon account. Basically the credential is always ask to authenticate yourself to amazon website, as I don't want (for now) to store your password.

Hi there, little heads up for the last version which now can give you a daily reminder!

Some people did ask for it, so I added the possibility to save your password and so not have to type it each time.
The password is encrypted and save.
But still be aware that this is no safe mesure, and you should definitly use a dummy account for this.
