I wonder if I'm the only one with spotify not working on the leaked ICS roms?

Dont work with me either, maybe it will work when ICS released properly, at the moment ICS is beta, thats why i stay with gingerbread.
Surely they have to fix ics support now when galaxy nexus is out. Spotify is too essential

Actually ICS isn't a beta, it was released well before Christmas.
I noticed that spotify keept crashing if I was trying to use an extrenal sd-card, but it seems to work okay when using the internal storage.
I'm using the latest CM9 experimental build for Galaxy S2.

that could have something to do with ICS using the sd card differently than GB

Yeah probably, the original path in spotify for the sd-card was something like /mnt/sdcard, when you try to change it to /extsdcard or /mnt/extsdcard it seems to work but then crashes and refuses to start again.
But I have been using the internal storage since yesterday without any issues.
Like you said, there is probably something that spotify doesn't like about how the sd-card is being handled by ICS. Maybe the path to the sd-card has been set in spotifys configuration or something.. but I don't know, thats just my simple theory.
Hi! I have a good news for the spotifys users!, I found that spotify Version 0.4.11.28 works perfectly in ours Sensation with ICS , the current version 0.4.12.xx doesn't open

WEll that didn't work for me.
What DID WORK for me was downloading Spare parts from the market .. ensure that compatibility mode is enabled. Reboot .. and voila.
Hello all!
I'm new here so first of all a massive hello to everyone here!
I own a Samsung Galaxy Ace and also a Samsung Galaxy 3 (Apollo GT-i5801). My Ace is fine as it is but the i5801 sucks!
Anyway basically I want to know what the best options are for the i5801... Mainly which ROM is best for it... I've seen Kyrillos is this the best ROM to go with?
My phone is currently running: ECLAIR.BVJF4 / Kernel 2.6.29 / Firmware 2.1-update1
Basically all I need to know is:
It has horrible stock apps which bug the hell out of me, in fact the Ace has these too how can you remove them?
Which ROM is best (by best I mean best features, minimal bugs, good GPS lock...)
Are there any other modifications anyone can recommend for this device?
Thanks for your time everyone! :good:

You have to root your phone using z4root app (search it in google) if you're on android 2.1 or superoneclick root which is a computer program if you're on android 2.2. Then after it's rooted, download an app called titanium backup, allow it root access, then press the menu button in the app, click on batch and click on uninstall system apps or something similar.
Kyrillos 9.6 is a very stable ROM, has none or very little/minimal bugs and has a good GPS lock reported by many users. I would recommend flashing Kyrillos 9.0 and updating to 9.6 as it's less hassle then rooting and adding your own modifications. After flashing Kyrillos ROM you may want to enable hybrid data2sd so search for information about that in the forum if you want to but basically, it gives you more internal memory for apps.
<<< Press the thanks button on the left if i helped xD

My Galaxy Ace and Galaxy 3 are both rooted but I didn't know about Titanium Backup! That is just what I needed so thank you so much for the info!!!
I will give Kyrillos 9.6 a whirl I guess
'Thanks' button pressed and i also ordered a GiffGaff sim by using your banner for my i5801 (Once i figure out how to unlock it, SGS unlock failed to do so ) I assume this will benefit you too in some way so that's another way of saying thanks :good:
Cheers!!
Thanks! Basically, when you top up £10, we both get £5 extra credit XD But bear in mind it only works in England.

If you want to use your Galaxy 3 daily, then I highly recommend you to use stock Froyo (JPS) ROM + Fugumod v2.4 Beta 3 (or Ultra version). I've found some FC bugs in Kyrillos' ROM too and the theme works kinda slow (no offence to dev). But yes, you can still give it a try. Also, if you're interested, you can also try my ROM (Purumod, link below)...my brother been using it since last month and everything worked perfectly.

Yeah i do want to use it near enough daily (its going to be my business mobile) To be honest the bigggest issue was the apps I thought i would have to redo the ROM and everything to get that to work but it would appear that program sorts it all out so i may not even need to flash it!

Just for the first time but then you can tell your friends to order and you can get extra £5's  Also, it's free calls and texts to anyone who is using giffgaff for three months when you top up £10. That offer happens every time you top up.
Anyway, back on topic, Kyrillos framework is very smooth and i'm using fugumod 2.4 :good: The only issue I have with Kyrillos is low internal memory but i don't install loads of apps so it's not to much of a problem. Also, Kyrillos ROM has quite a few unique features since he's been developing for nearly a year on his ROM so it's quite advanced whereas purumod is quite new and not as advanced but just as stable. Purumod has more internal memory without using app2sd etc. I have used both of them long term and they're both awesome. You'll have to decide yourself.
Also, about stock JPS, it's quite good as well but why use stock when we have perfectly stable froyo 2.2 ROM's with are a million times faster?

Awesome! Yeah I love GiffGaff! I use them on my Galaxy Ace they are excellent!
I re rooted my phone as it was flagging errors and also installed Titanium Backup and now all the dodgy apps are gone!! Its sooooo much faster now its fantastic! can't thank you enough for your info!
I also ran SGS Unlock 1.3 again on it and it successfully unlocked the phone this time (must of had a dodgy root last time?)
All ready for my new GiffGaff sim now!

This is a interesting point... My phone is now very quick it hardly has any apps on it (which is all it needs to do, my Ace does all the cool apps n stuff) so it's really nice as is but i do like the idea of tinkering with it with other ROM's.
What other benefits are there over the stock ROM's?

Hello everybody, i'm new and i'm Italian (sorry for my bad English)
I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 GT-P3100 (3g+wi-fi) and i want a costum rom because i see some lag with the original and i don' t want all of these useless apps from Samsung..
I have a question for the expert:
I use my tablet EVERYDAY for messaging, and calling (it's my personal tab-phone) , i don't want to lost these 2 very usefull features..
So, are this rom:
Stock Rooted De-Odexed-Base
CM9
CM10
compatible for call and sms?
I'm a newbie with this tablet (i purchased it in 20/08/2012 and i have only the root) , but i have some experience about ROM because i have a LG optimus one rooted @CM10 unofficial
Thanks all
Yes i tried the three in my 5100 which has also phone functions, sms and 3g and all functions work good do not worry may be somewhat bluetooth problems in cms but more smooth i recommend cm10 i use it now

Bluetooth send is good bluetooth receive so so this is the only problem found till now no other problems i think will improve with time as other nightly builds come
cm10 found in www.teamhacksung.org do not forget to flash cwm 6.0.1.0 or cwm 6.0.1.0 before cm10 or stay in cwm 5.5.0.4 for cwm9
cm9 for 3100 http://teamhacksung.org/wiki/index.php/CyanogenMod9:GT-P3100:How_to_install
cm10 for 3100 http://teamhacksung.org/wiki/index.php/CyanogenMod10:GT-P3100:How_to_install
read full operation carefully before proceeding
if you flashed cwm6 then make a nandroid backup again before flashing as backups made with cwm 5 not restored with cwm6 if you want to revert to stock easily

Hi
When I am in rom manager the first options is "Install ClockworkMod Recovery" so I just press it, I select my model (gt-p3100) and it automatically download the necessary files and install CWM.
Now I remember that i flash immediatly CWM 6.0.1.0 with root sorry, my bad! I have never have CWM 5 but ALWAYS CWM 6!!
But first time I have install rom manager I try "install ClockworkMod Recovery" but it frezze my tablet, after i just press "fix permission" and I install CWM only because rom manager tell me i haven't a CWM version on my tablet!
I' ve just flash CM10_25/08/2012 nightly! it is so beautiful and REALLY fast! I have delete some system applications like "news and weather" and "movie studio" because i don't use and i made a backup of the .apk..
Right now i'm using Apex Launcher because I have a little familiarity
I don't know why in the official thread first post in the photo there is the tablet UI down, and in mine is at the top of the screen! And there isn't the option like in my LG P500 for "tablet bar"
Why? now i take a screen for explain
But i have a question: I have the backup of the original rom 4.0.4 in "/mnt/sdcard/clockworkmod" but there is a folder named "backup" with some .img file and a folder named "blobs" which contains A LOT OF file (4381 files, 2674 folders and 1,5 GB)
Is this two folders (backup and blobs) the backup of my previus original version? Can i save a copy in my computer for more accuracy and for take 1,5 Gb free?
Thank you in advance!
Ah, another question: are there a framework for the tablet ui? just a .zip to flash in recovery, i don't want difficult things
I notice that now i can charge my tablet with computer port, just beautiful if it's real!
Sorry for the update:
I set 133 dpi in build.prop and now it's okay, but the text is too small, and in setting I enlarge the caracters
Now it's all ok, I need to buy a new memory (my 2 gb class 2 suck)
I think a 32 Gb class 10 micro sd by Samsung is good for music and much other
The battery is ok, I can do a complete day with normal use like messagging ( 14-15 hours), internet messagging (whatsapp: 7 hours) call (1-2 hours a day) internet in wi-fi (20-22 hours) internet with my sim (3g or H 1 hour) and some other stuff
Now with this CM10 i can charge my tablet with the usb port from the computer! really helpfull for me
It is brilliant to see this CM10 in action
I change the original bootanimation because it's crappy and lag very much.. i put the CM10 bootanimation and it's ok
I think i will not flash a new kernel because the one'st I see in the forum is specific for overclocking but not some interesting/new features, only hazard
Now I'm in peace with myself :fingers-crossed: my tablet is amazing and i don't want anything else!
Only more CM rom with juicy news
EDIT: Only a problema appear:
Stock Cm 10 gallery doesn't sincronize my photo from Google+ damn.. i search another gallery or take the stock gallery from ICS

From the beginning, I used a few days the stock ROM, then Tab2Lite, what really did it's job very well, then CM9, then CM10 and back to CM9, which seems currently the best working CM Version with great battery life. My p3110 is sold but remains on my desk with sleeping CM9. On Sunday 26. August 1 am it finished loading (100%) and is now on 30%. I only switched it on for checking battery every day. So I think that's pretty good.
But Tab2Lite was also very good. But if you don't like big ROMs with (less) bloatware, I suggest CM9. I also heard from Paranoid Android ROMs, probably that one will be fine as well.
I think i will test CM10 for the moment and after i flash CM9 only for see what it changes
Thaks all for the help!

With the CM10 nightlies increases the functionality of CM10 very quickly. I would suggest to try in a different order, first CM9 and than the smoother CM10. Than you probably want to stay with CM10 and you don't have to flash again.
But give us a feedback anyway.

Thank you
I found CM10 a really good costum ROM, for speed, really rare lag and it has what I really need in my tab.
There is only a problem: the gallery of CM10 don't sincronize my Google+ photos and if I press the options it display a blank page without any options or informations..
I think this problem is resolved by using another version of the gallery, like the stock 4.0.4 or something like this.
My original backup have some .img files and a lot of folders and I can't extract the gallery.apk
I can download the CM9 zip and take out the gallery.apk but I don't know if it work
In play store there is a porting for the old version of android that they can have a similar ICS gallery but it's not free..
I think this problem is only the smallest for developer of CM10 but for me it's a big problem because I have a lot of photo in Google+ only because I know I can have in my phone by just adding my gmail account...
Can anyone know if this problem is solved by the newest 2 version of CM10? (20120827 and 20120828 version)
(I have 20120825 version, 20120826 still doesn't exist in ROM manager, I think a bug version)
Second problem: if I turn the tablet in air mode it close the Wi-Fi connection, but after I switch ON the wireless it's OK idk why it can turn off the Wi-Fi by turn off the sim transmissions...
Have a GT-N8013 (Galaxy Note 10.1). Am on Hyperdrive RLS7, 3.042_Zeus_Kernel_4.0. Apologies if this is the wrong area to post - please let me know if it should be elsewhere.
I'm constantly having memory issues with internal storage and would like to know of any ROM's that work with move-to-sd. I've got MoKee on my Epic 4G Touch and it works great. I like the Hyperdrive ROM a lot, especially the multi-window feature. But I really need to deal with the memory issue. Having a 64G SD doesn't do me a lot of good if everything insists on installing internally.
TIA for any help!
John
You could just use folder mount with any custom rom or rooted rom.

Hello all
Stuck with my old P500 for a couple of weeks so I've decided to try a couple different roms, I'm running the : [DEV][ROM][4.4.2][CM11] KITKAT for LG-P500 [WIP][VER-10 OTA]
At the moment, but it's too slow, everything lags on the phone, so basically looking for the fastest stable rom where tethering works, I don't care if it's gingerbread, ICS jelly bean etc, just want the fastest, any one got any recommendations?
Thanks

I am using the same KITKAT rom VER-10 , Running smooth..
Lag may be because of low internal memeory.. Use Link2sd n move apps to sd-ext , that would free up some space on the internal memory.
If u want to go back to older roms..
Try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574523
stock ROM looks and feel..
OR Try hephappy's rom for ICS
http://www.mediafire.com/download/m3nqsrfyyjmry9e/cm-9.2.3-ICS-PLUS-p500.zip (Not sure if Tethering works.. Find out)
Every version of that ROM I've tried lags, my internal memory is 60mb i can't move anything else over via link2sd most of it's system apps, everything lags for me, even typing a text message takes forever..
Thanks I'll check those out.

Tethering works on ICS and JB too but phone reboots after turning it off.
It's completely functional without that little flaw.

I vote for one of the Oxygen roms:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1325386&page=127

The first one wins for me in the speed/battery life category.
