Try reflashing the Rom. I find it clears up most initial problems after a new flash.
I have been having this problem for quite sometime now. I have a Galaxy S Plus running on Android Gingerbread. Whenever I`m trying to download any apps I always get this error:
Update for "App Name"/ could not be downloaded due to an error. (905)
I have googled this problem and found out that I should just clear the cache of Google Play and the data of the Download Manager. I did this and it worked for a while however the problem keeps on coming back. I am already tired of repeating the steps over and over again. Now it`s gone worse, I cannot download anything. The same error keeps on coming up even if I already cleared the cache and data.
I believe I have sufficient space on my phone (phone, USB storage and SD card). Please help me out with my problem! THANK YOU.
Download gapps.zip for your device from xda.
Copy it to the sd card and flash using clock work mode.
The problem will be solved
Xperian using xda app
I'm using Sprint Optimus S with Hydro ROM 1.1 (GB build), my david cache only has 124mb in total size, and now only 7mb free.
Anyway, I got the "insufficient space" error when trying to download anything larger than 7mb from the play store, so I searched and found this method of using "cache fixer". I followed the instructions as follows:
1. clear play store data, and force shut down the service
2. use the cache fixer to clear david cache, i will normally have 70mb free after this. Sometimes I click the temporaily move the cache to SD too.
3. Either way, after step 1 and 2, I could download the app fine (larger than 7mb), but every time when it trys to install the downloaded app, the "package invalid" error would pop out.
Can anyone point out a solution to this problem please?
Thanks a lot.
I am using a Samsung Galaxy Tab GT-P3110 (7.0") and I installed the cyanogenmod version 10.1.3-p3110 with the 3.0.31-CM-gac1803e kernel. Since today I am unable to install some apps. The app manager tells me I used up 2.6GB of the internal storage and Ive got 2.0GB free.
When I try to install the YouTube app or the Root Browser app the play store puts out an error telling: Insufficient storage available. However when I try to install the ShopSavvy Barcode Scanner app all goes fine. Also installing apps by putting apk's in my download folder via laptop seems to work fine.
Before this problem occured I fiddled around with the format tool AParted for my external sd, and the link2sd app. I deleted both of them, but the problem is still occuring.
Any help on this issue?
Here a catlog screen of the errors occurring when i install root browser. Similar error on youtube install.
hi everyone. i was using link2sd ver.3.7 free on my phone to link apps to sd card but i had installed it from apk file and not google play so i thought to uninstall link2sd and do a fresh install from google play. i read at link2sd faq that if i uninstall and reinstall link2sd my linked apps wont be effected. so i uninstalled link2sd but after uninstalling i was not able to install it back from play store. i get a error of insufficient space. i checked apps tab and i had a lot of free space and i was also able to install other apps the error was just with link2sd. i tried uninstalling few apps but it didnt helped and i still got that error. then i booted in cwm and wiped dalvik cache and system cache partition and now i am not able to see any of my linked apps in app drawer and i am still not able to install link2sd. the same error comes. i tried downloading apk from apk mirror but that dosent work too. pls help me all my apps are gone even google play store as i have linked it too. pls help really want my apps back
