[Q] Increase vibration intensity - Galaxy 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all!
I'd like to know if any app or script or something exist that could change the vibration intensity. I don't mean the haptic feedback part, since I don't use it, I mean, I want to have stronger vibration when I get mail, sms, call. I found an app that can do this for call and sms, but I receive way more mails than sms. Any solution? Tasker perhaps, or something else?

I have the same problem. What is the app you use for calls and SMS.

i don't think that there is any app available to increase the vibration intensity...this settings have to be integrated at the system level...so u wont be finding any app to increase the vibration intensity than that is already available in the system...

Go sound, tick haptic feedback, change vibration intensity, then off haptic feedback.
Cheers

There is a setting to increase the vibration sensitivity under Settings -> Sound -> Vibration Sensitivity, Click on that and you can choose.. I think that will increase the Sensivity for every vibration.

An app would be really usefull. My phone vribrate like crazy, so hard that it makes much noise.
I know with my phone (SGS Captivate), you can change the strength of the vibration for calls/sms by going to Settings -> Sound -> Vibration Intensity.
I just looked at whether this is also true for the HD2 but unfortunately this is not the case. I think an app is the only solution...

[Q] Vibration; short for notification, long for call

Is there a way, by default or via app, for me to set different vibration settings for notifications vs. calls?
My problem is that the vibration setting for emails is too long. Each email produces a long, three second vibration. Even if I make a custom short-burst vibration in settings>sound>device vibration, I still get a long vibration for emails. The custom vibration that I created only triggers when I'm getting a call.
So, I guess my question is: Is there some way for me to customize the vibration pattern for notifications?
Try Light Flow.

Pretty sure it allows you to customize both the LED and vibration settings on a per app basis.

Universal, System-wise Vibration Control that is Integrated into Volume Control

Hello folks,
I'm currently having this concern for my Nexus 5, running Franco's Kernel and Power toggle for sound profile switch, i.e. no sound - vib - sound only - sound+vib.
However, I noticed that switching sound profile using Power Toggle only applies to limited apps. For example, the ringer of the phone is of course under control by this toggle. However, I noticed that this toggle fails to control the vibration behavior of other apps such as Gmail and WeChat. I'm sure there are more examples but these two apps are of my daily use so I noticed immediately. To clarify, I'm talking about the situation when the phone would still vibrate on incoming emails in Gmail, even though I toggled to no sound or sound only profile in Power Toggle. It looks like this has nothing to do with Power Toggle because Android simply handles vibration behavior on a per-app basis.
For this reason, I am looking for a solution to handle the vibration behavior of the phone on a universal basis. I'm trying to achieve the behavior of the phone that is similar to iPhone (excuse me), where I can completely kill the vibration of the phone on one click (or toggle of the hardware button). iPhone 4 was my last iPhone but this simple "kill all vibration" feature is still so good to me.
The only thing I find now is to tweak vibration strength within the Franco Kernel settings. But we all know it's not an on-the-fly operation. I have to go into FKU app, hit Kernel Settings, and enter 0 for vibration amp. I wonder if there is any app that can integrate this operation into sound profile toggle, so when I toggle it into "no sound" or "sound only" mode, the vibration amp is automatically set to 0.
I know this sounds like a hassle but I really cannot think of another way of implementation, because it looks like Android's vibration is not universally controlled from the start? Correct me if I'm wrong, as I have no idea of coding or anything. Meanwhile, if what I guessed is true, it looks like the only viable solution is to find an app or widget that toggles between sound profiles while being able to set vibration amp to 0 through tweaking the Franco Kernel.
Thanks for your help!
Anyone? No one is annoyed by vibration when you want to set your phone completely silent?

Turn off notification vibration but leave the sound on?

So I usually keep my phone on a table or such surfaces, which make a loud and irritating rattling sound whenever my phone vibrates.
I want to disable notification vibration (or all vibration for all I care), but in a way that my phone will play a notification sound.
If there's a ROM that allows this, an app which plays notification sounds on Do not disturb mode, or a native android setting I have missed, I'm glad to use any of those.
You can disable vibration in each app, also in setting you’ll disable vibration for call.

But there isn't that option in every app. If there was, I would have done that already. I' talking about every notification, not just WhatsApp.
Actually many apps have this feature (vibration off/on). I got your idea but the answer is NO, there's no option on toggle turn off all vibration.

I am in CM 13. It still vibrates even when vibration intensity is set to 0% . Just to confirm.

How to adjust vibration intensity on stock kernel?

Any easy to to increase vibration intensity? I tried EK kernel at first but terrible battery life. I just liked the EK app that let me change kernel intensity. Any easy ways to increase vibration intensity otherwise?
Go to settings > Sound & Vibration > (Under) Ringtone & Vibration you will see 3 different "sound and vibration" sections, one for each of the 3 notification sounds such as Phone Ringtone, SMS, and Notification. This is where you assign the ringtone you want for each one. Tap on each one and at the top under "Vibration" is the setting for "Vibration pattern and intensity". Tap on this and you will have 3 settings under "Vibration Intensity", Light, Medium, Strong.
