If you want to use your computer and copy files to it: Plug your phone into your computer in USB Debug mode. Run qTadb.exe (google for it).
You need to be rooted, and you must have root explorer or similar installed.
Now, the sound files are located at "system/media/audio/"
Copy this folder (audio) to your computer or to your external SD card. After this, it's just a matter of replacing these files with the files in the same folder after you install any other ROM (must be rooted).

And henceforth, post your questions in the general section. I understand your confusion, however!

[APP] Google Talk with Video+Voice

Credit for this goes to woodmanskinsfan for trying it out first and letting us know, I'm just reposting the information in a central location.
Original Post credit: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1074436
Requirements: Must be on Gingerbread 2.3.3+ (yes it works with 2.3.3) and rooted.
Google Talk with Video+Voice chat
1. Download http://www.multiupload.com/03VE2KXATD
2. Extract the contents from the zip you'll have system folder... inside app folder and lib folder.
3. Make a backup of your existing Talk.apk located in /system/app just in case
4. Copy the extracted Talk.apk and libtalk_jni.so onto your SD card
5. Once on your SD card copy the libtalk_jni.so to /system/lib via your favorite method ADB, Root Explorer, Super etc.
6. Clear data on the current google talk apk via Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>Talk>Clear Data
7. Copy the extracted Talk.apk from your SD into /system/app overwriting the existing file there.
8. Reboot, and then sign back in, you have video and voice option now .
Enjoy!

4 or 4.5? just pull it from icbinb rom.zip. system/app folder.
Either I just want to update touchwiz 3. Would you be able to post a download link for it because I'm still fairly new to this and don't really know how to pull it from the zip

I tried to pull it for some reason my computer wouldn't let me transfer it to my phone. What should I do

Make sure you are connected to the computer properly and that the phone is in mass storage mode. Then drag and drop to your sd card. From there, use root explorer to move the apk to your system/app folder. Reboot and it should work

That's what I did and for some reason my computer wouldn't let me transfer it over. I've transferred so many other files that way with no problem I just don't understand why it wont let me transfer this file

It's in your framework-res.apk
Pull it with adb. /system/framework/framework-res.apk (make a backup as well)
Open the archive (7zip etc). It's in the /res/drawable-hdpi/ folder.
( don't touch/open anything else for your sake )
Overwrite it with new 'image'. Push it back.
Sorry for the brief explanation...Half asleep.
Check out APK Manager too.
Thanks...... You're Awesome!!!

Read the known issues.
With this version of SkyICS the sound files were moved to the SD to get more space.
So how do i move them back so they could work

if you're gonna flash a rom, at least read the damn thread. Move them with root explorer or similar
the stock sound files i believe are in zmods.zip -- or you can use your own mp3 file-- create a file named Ringtones on the internal sd, copy and paste....as for the notifications, copy and paste.... wal-la!
All i did is download the s3 rom and took the audio files out of that rom and put it into this rom and they started working.
