Requirements: Must be on Gingerbread 2.3.3+ (yes it works with 2.3.3) and rooted.
Google Talk with Video+Voice chat
1. Download http://www.multiupload.com/03VE2KXATD
2. Extract the contents from the zip you'll have system folder... inside app folder and lib folder.
3. Make a backup of your existing Talk.apk located in /system/app just in case
4. Copy the extracted Talk.apk and libtalk_jni.so onto your SD card
5. Once on your SD card copy the libtalk_jni.so to /system/lib via your favorite method ADB, Root Explorer, Super etc.
6. Clear data on the current google talk apk via Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>Talk>Clear Data
7. Copy the extracted Talk.apk from your SD into /system/app overwriting the existing file there.
8. Reboot, and then sign back in, you have video and voice option now .
Enjoy!
Awesome stuff thanks alot!

How do you take screenshots? Just rooted my Play

You can also extract the rar file and install it like any apk.

it works perfectly!

yea yea its just easier to extract it then install like any other app!!!!!!!!!!
You don't need to uninstall the orginal Market, just run the apk and it will apply updates
I'm using the new market with an APK I got from Android Police.
I really like your theme, where can I get it?
What theme would that be?

Yes use apk tool to decompile it, edit the images, recompile and sign
Just wondering where APK were stored after downloading from market
system/app
Whoops, they're stored in the download folder
sdcard/download
Actually its in data/ app.

Why do I show a bunch of apps in the download folder too?
My bad. Those are ones that I copied there.
What a dummy, I've ben up for 17hrs.
Lol. That's how I get to bro with no sleep. Usually with htc phones anything you download goes to your download folder...except if you download from your HTC mail it will be in downloads folder. If you download from your xda app a file attached to a post it will be in a tapatalk folder. This is your card Im taking about. Any app installed to your phone from the market will be in data/ app
System apps can be installed by flashing or adb push

apk file
I wanted to increase the battery life on my wife's rooted Infuse to increase battery life. I read that faux123's Kernel and script are supposed to be the best and compatible with ALL Samsung Rooted Stock and Custom ROMs
For reference I'm including the links:
Faux's Kernel:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1437563
FauxClock app by roman:
http://rootzwiki.com/topic/4550-app09-beta-snapdragon-dual-core-oc-control/page__st__30
My question is where do I put the apk file (FauxClock-0.9.apk):
1. Internal sdcard (sdcard/download)
2. /data/app
3. system/app
Does it even matter where I put that apk file? Thanks for the help.

Sent from my SGH-T959V using XDA App
4 or 4.5? just pull it from icbinb rom.zip. system/app folder.
Either I just want to update touchwiz 3. Would you be able to post a download link for it because I'm still fairly new to this and don't really know how to pull it from the zip
Sent from my SGH-T959V using XDA App
Open it on your computer and drag and drop
Sent from my SGH-T959V using XDA Premium App
I tried to pull it for some reason my computer wouldn't let me transfer it to my phone. What should I do
Sent from my SGH-T959V using XDA App
Make sure you are connected to the computer properly and that the phone is in mass storage mode. Then drag and drop to your sd card. From there, use root explorer to move the apk to your system/app folder. Reboot and it should work
Sent from my SGH-T959V using XDA Premium App
That's what I did and for some reason my computer wouldn't let me transfer it over. I've transferred so many other files that way with no problem I just don't understand why it wont let me transfer this file

i didnt make this or anything, im just simply passing it on! Droid Bionic boot animation...pretty bomb!! i just moved the file to system/media and replaced the current one with file explorer, but every phone (or rom) is different
oh, and if u want the sound file, its http://www.droid-life.com/2011/08/26/download-official-droid-bionic-boot-animation/ there...just couldnt upload the ogg file
This is actually pretty cool! I'm gonna give it a try on CM7.
you aint got a pic?

u dont open the file, u place it in the correct folder or adb push it into the correct folder of your phone that handles the boot animations......in CM7 case, u just put the file in system/media folder, where you will see a bootanimation.zip file already, just replace it and reboot!
Thank you : )
So i haven't messed with adb at all and when I try to put in system/media it says installation aborted. I am downloading it to my computer then transferring to system/media because when I download to phone it doesn't show up do you think it could be a file error on the sd card? Thnx in advance
I can't get this sh*t to work at all so imma say cm7 does not work for this boot animation as far as I know. I tried replacing it in system/folder and got nothing Idk what to do.

i have CM7....u need to get an app called "Root Explorer".....that app will allow u to overwrite read-only material and alter them! In this case, u download the animation, u then copy or move the file to system/media, but make sure u click the Read/Write thing otherwise it wont work....then u just reboot
The boot animation looks great. But I would rename your original bootanimation.zip file to bootanimation.old then place it in the directory. Just ing case you are unsatisfied, you can just delete and go back to whatever you had originally. Also does anyone know what I have to rename the sound file to to get it to work properly in the /ui directory ?

to my understanding (although i havent done this), u just keep it as a .ogg file, and in the audio folder, u make a "poweron" folder, and rename the file "poweron.ogg" and put that into the poweron folder.....but i havent done it, so idk if it works
edit: didnt work....idk how to do enable the boot sound

After, the program asks me to choose between various options ... I selected APK HANDLER.
