Hello everyone!
I've been using my HTC Legend for a while now and I was quite happy with it, except performance breaking down several times. So lately I decided to root the phone and throw some custom ROM on it, preferably CM7. Well, I am a little ashamed to confess, that it hasn't just worked out yet, but according to several postings my Goldcard seems to be the problem.
Anyway, I came up with the idea of buying myself a new droid. The criteria is easy in fact. It should have a bigger screen than the Legend and sunlight legibility should be good (oh yeah, that was another issue with my legend). And it should be fast and pretty. Last but definitly not least: Custom ROM Support is important!
Until now I've made a choice for a few phones I like.
-Sony Ericsson Xperia NEO
-Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc
-LG p970 Optimus Black
-Samsung Galaxy S 9000
What phones do you think match my criteria best? Have you got any other propositions in the same price range?
how many inches the new xperia mini has?
and how much is it with no contract in the US.?
hi
pls tell me which of above is better?
xperia mini pro is really fast but i think it has an overheating issue like xperia mini.I would buy galaxy fit
galaxy fit is better
I had many issues with Xperia Mini Pro and i bought Galaxy Mini which is pretty much same as Galaxy Fit so i think Samsung is better and has many firmware updates.
I suggest you galaxy fit its better mini pro has less battery juice. If you want good processor in less money go for galaxy Y But it has less mp cam and less screen pixel
yeah ....consider the new Samsung Galaxy Y...
Can someone please help me make the decision.
I'm buying my new phone in two weeks ..
And I'm confused between these two
Samsung Galaxy S
Or
Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc
Taking into account the popularity of the Galaxy S and the wide-range support.
And the coolness .. the awesome camera of the Xperia Arc.
P.S. i don't know why so many people are comparing the Xperia Arc to the
Galaxy S II despite the fact that the S II has a dual-core processor, while the Xperia has a single core. They should compare the S but not S II
I'd really appreciate your answer so that i can make up my mind
Arc is more stylish to me.
Also, if you buy SIM-unlocked one, it's not a problem to unlock bootloader.
But it hasn't got so many custom ROMs as Galaxy S does.
Most Arcs can be overclocked up to 1.7GHz stable (max is 2.0GHz), even up to 2.0GHz if you apply some more overvolting.
And it has nice Super LCD screen which is great.
But, let's also tell something about Galaxy S: so much custom ROMs, big community, S-AMOLED screen, weighting almost the same as a bunch of 10 A4 papers.
galaxy s
Arc. Bigger screen, better camera. I even like the screen better: works well in sunlight.
Sent from my LT15i using xda premium
I Would go for ARC as well. Very nicely build phone.
And what about the screen .. Super AMOLED vs. LCD Sony Bravia Reality Display
It's said that the S-AMOLED is the best in the business these days .. However, alot of people claim the Xperia's LCD is awesome too
And i don't know about the touch sensitivity comparing to the Galaxy S
Hi, I have a Sony Xperia Neo since 2011 and I'm thinking about getting a new phone. I was searchin about Sony Xperia Z and Samsung Galaxy Note II.
Besides the obviously better hardware, I am looking for a bigger screen to read books. So, my question is, there is a lot of difference to read in a 3.7" screen (NEO) to a 5"-5.5" (Z,Note II)? Does reading on a phone impair sight, and does a bigger screen reduces this damage?
Also, about the phones, Z and Note II, they are worth?
EDIT: Can someone confirm that the Sony smartphones still can't flash kernel from CWM like the Samsung do?
Thanks
